Toggle controls simple form based on the value of an element

Is it possible to toggle the controls on simple form based on the value of an element?

for example, if P21_stat = 1 5 controls behave as type "View as text (saves the State)", otherwise they must be of type "text field"?

No work around if not?

Hi Alex,

Look at the definition of the article page, you will find a 'readonly' section where you can specify a condition that this point should be readonly (in all other cases, it is a normal entry point).

brgds,
Peter

  • Fill in fields on a form based on the value of a list? (Dreamweaver CS5)

    Yet once, it has been a while since I've done any work in Dreamweaver. I have two sets of records, rs1 and rs2. Fill a selection area with a dynamic field, rs1. Based on the value of the selection in the list box and use it as a primary key and a database .mdb I want to fill that second record, rs2 and respective fill some additional fields with its dynamic links.

    Assuming that everyone can understand what I so badly stated, with a having a few ideas or, better yet, a few examples?

    Thank you!

    I agree with Nancy that using Access is a bad choice, to answer your question, it seems you want to create a montage cascading down. Dreamweaver is not integrated to manage cascading dropdown lists. You code yourself.

    There are two approaches for cascading drop-down lists:

    • Use Ajax to present a second query to the database when the first drop-down list is selected.
    • Store the values of the dependent drop-down list in a table, and use JavaScript to fill in the options in the first drop-down list is selected.

    This page of examples of cascading dropdowns: example of DropDownList in waterfall | Kendo UI Dropdownlist demo. A Google search for the cascading drop down list will produce other results.

  • Fill in the parts of the form based on the value entered in the first field

    Hello

    I am creating a form where user will enter the serial number of the equipment and I want him to click a button check beside him. When you click on the button check, I want to the Description of the object of the form field to be updated (this info is taken from a MySql DB backend). In addition, the text corresponding to the Site of equipment fields be filled. After reviewing all the information, user should be able to click on a button at the end of the form, and this information must be written in another table. I have attached an Insert record server behavior to the form. Essentially, I want to set a different action on the two buttons on the form. In my opinion it's the same one when we fill the registration form and based on our country, our State drop-down list is filled. It seems that this is doable, but I am not able to figure out how. I'd appreciate any help

    Thank you

    It's very simple if you understand the PHP code. Basically, you give the two buttons of different names and a logic conditional PHP allow you to control what happens. Call a button 'check' and the other 'insert '. If you use the POST method, you control the script like this:

    if (array_key_exists('verify', $_POST) {
      // create a recordset to retrieve the details ready for display
    } elseif (array_key_exists('insert', $_POST) {
      // insert the details in the the new table
    }

    If you aren't comfortable coding PHP yourself, the easy way to do it with Dreamweaver server behaviors must use separate sheets. On the first page, simply create a form for the user to enter the serial number. Use the GET method to send the serial number to another page. In the new page, use the parameter of URL containing the serial number to create a recordset to fill the form of insertion. Then apply a server behavior insert record using the POST method to insert the details in a new table.

  • How to redirect to assets or form based on the values of database search

    We try to use the database search to determine if a visitor to our Web site already filled out a form.  When they click on an asset (such as a white paper link), we want to use a database search to check if they filled out a form (we are check on the email address and a specific to all our forms required field).  If the database search returns a value, then they are addressed to the asset.  If the data query appears empty, they are directed to a form.  Did anyone tried something like this? I'm interested in how you generated JavaScript code to activate.

    This sounds like the standard "true" eloqua gated form technology, using the eloqua (hidden method, short and long term) cookie-driven. For years, it was only substance without papers and seller and don't has not been fully supported by the tech line. Now it is wide open information here: http://eloqua.blogspot.com/2010/06/gated-forms-asking-for-just-right.html

    This gives a whirl and come back here with all the problems that I have built many of them.

  • Deactivating a page element based on the value of another element on the page

    Hello
    I have a page element I want to turn off if the value of another article (drop-down list item) is set to a specific value. I followed the example in the book 'Pro Oracle APEX"(p.320) in this regard. He ordered me to do this in the HTML form element attributes for the element section:
    OnChange = "htmldb_item_change (this); html_DisableOnValue (This, 'Closed', 'P3_PRIORITY', 'P3_ASSIGNED_TO'); »

    It works very well. It disables the element I want to disable. HOWEVER, it does not neutralize the article unless the element with the onchange attribute is changed.

    How can I add features to disable the second element, even if the first element does not change, but contains the value 'Closed' when the user of the first load of the page?

    Thanks for your help and your insight!
    -Reid

    Hello Reid,

    The easiest way would be to (also) a Condition only read the item that you want to disable.

  • XMLTYPE Datatype - extracted value of an element based on the value in another element

    Hi all

    I have a typical XML problem in which I am trying to extract the value of a property on the base of another.

    Here is an example of XML data:-

    < object type = "InstanceObject:instanceKeyValue" version = "2" >

    < property name = 'name' value = 'COUNTRY' valueType = "string" / >

    < property name = "keyValueType" value = "VARCHAR" valueType = "string" / >

    < property name = "keyValue" value = "SINGAPORE" valueType = "string" / >

    < / object >

    < object type = "InstanceObject:instanceKeyValue" version = "2" >

    < property name = "name" value = "DATA_SET" valueType = "string" / >

    < property name = "keyValueType" value = "VARCHAR" valueType = "string" / >

    < property name = value 'keyValue' = 'April 9, 2014' valueType = "string" / >

    < / object >

    My requirement is-

    If value = 'COUNTRY' under/object/property then I need the property value where @name = "keyValue" that is Singapore.

    But when I do

    SELECT EXTRACT('object/property[@name="instanceKeyValues"]/object/property[@name="keyValue"]/@value')

    I get the two keyValues SINGAPORE09-APR-2014

    While I only need Singapore.

    Request Express 3.1.2.00.02

    It's pretty simple to do using conditional branches. Create a branch to the place of the appropriate branch (for example on submit: after treatment...) for each target page and series PL/SQL Expression condition for each branch:

        :request = ''
    and : =

    its replacement by < button_name >, < nom_element > and < item_value > with the values appropriate to your application (and change the '=' in the expression of the agenda if some other condition is used). The integrated attribute REQUEST contains the name of the button that submits the page.

  • Show/hide subform based on the value of digital field

    Hi all

    I created my first form in LiveCycle Designer, but jammed with coding. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    In the attached form, based on the value of field digital "number Total points" (calculated from the user of entry), I want two things to happen.

    The 'field' text should display different text depending on the points,

    • Less than 10 points is "beginner."
    • 10-14 is "intermediate."

    and just like that...

    If the total number of points is less than 10, 'Course for beginners' and 'Language' DropDownList must appear.

    Is there a way to do this? I tried posting 'If' 'else' statement, but it does not work. I looked in the previous discussions, but cannot find that anything will be based on the numeric value.

    You are looking for assistance.

    N ° you either need to have 2 instances of region B, based on different models and make one of them conditionally based on the value of the area A; or to develop a unique model with a structure that is flexible enough to be used in both cases and change its appearance and behavior, for example, Exchange classes in dynamic Action.

  • Forming a dynamic report with the value of an element query

    Hi gurus,

    We wanted to create a report based on the value of an element in the page.

    For example

    There is a text box named p1_table according to the value of this element that should alter the query from the report

    (1) when p1_table = emp query report should be select * from EMP
    (2) when p1_table = dept query report should be select * from dept

    I tried to do this using

    Select * from: p1_table and select * from v('p1_table'), it does not work.

    Kindly help me in the fulfilment of the condition.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Vikas Krishna

    Hi Vikas,

    You should do this as a report based on a function that returns the query string. You generate the string dynamically in function.

  • Prevent the print page based on the value of the field

    Hello. Is it possible to prevent certain pages to print based on the value of a field in the form?

    Similarly, is it possible to prevent certain pages according to a field value?

    I'm not a JS coder accomplished.

    Windows XP

    LiveCycle Designer ES2

    Thanks in advance

    Gary, NJ

    Hello

    I doubt that your condition if works or not. You can try with the couple of things:

    (1) write the same code in the Textfield output event instead of the current enter event.

    (2) check if the if condition works for value "xyz" or not by means of simple alert.

    If (topmostSubform.Page1.TextField1.rawValue == "xyz") {}
    Page2.presence = 'hidden ';

    App.Alert ("State of the hidden page"); just for testing purposes... Remove it at a later time
    }
    else {}
    Page2.presence = "visible";

    App.Alert ("visible condition to page");
    }

    This will help you know whether or not this condition actually works.

    'Hidden' will do a page hidden as well as it will not print it.

    Hope it should work for you.

  • How to render components based on the value selected in a list of values

    Hello
    I created a form of the ADF. I have a drop down that is a list of values. I want to toggle certain fields based on the values selected in the menu drop-down. Could you please let me know how to do it in the ADF?

    Kind regards
    Murielle

    Hello

    It should work. It is important to note that in case you use a component selectOneChoice for category then the value returned by #{bindings. Category.inputValue}
    is the index of the selected value in the list and not the value auto. To get the value, you must use ' #{bindings. " Category.attributeValue}"in the disabled state.

    If the problem is no display of code in your page to take a look.

    Gabriel.

  • Is there an easy way to filter a 2D table based on the values in two fields?

    Y at - it an easy way to filter a 2D table based on the values of one of the fields. In my attached VI the output array has the following format:

    Ident Frame Type bytes TimeStamp data

    10:57:07.621 3AD00016 POUVEZ 8 0000000000000000 data frame

    10:57:07.622 3AD00017 CAN data frame 8 000005E000000000

    10:57:07.624 3AD00018 POUVEZ 8 0000000003300000 data frame

    10:57:07.625 2DC00000 POUVEZ 8 0000000000000000 data frame

    10:57:07.626 3AD00019 POUVEZ 4 0000030000000000 data frame

    I would like to delete all lines that do not have an "Ident" between the values of 3AD00000 and 3AD0001E. So for the data above the fourth row would be removed. The only way I can see to do this is to form a 1 d table. Is there a better approach?

    Thank you.

    Hi chuck72352,

    After you've sorted your data, you can use the function InRange. Combined with a "search in 1 table D", you get the range you really want.
