Toggle the fields based on the choice of the user

Hello!

I need to create a form in which it fields should be enabled based on the user's choice in a previous question (with radio buttons).

Please, where can I find the info to learn how do?

Thak you responsible for any idea!

Here's the Script Editor of screen capture...

Once the script editor opens, then edit the event click in the menu on the left corner.

Thank you

  • In: toggle a field based on the State of a checkbox

    Hi all
    I have a tabular form on a single table. The table has a Y/N column type. So to see this checkbox column I followed excellent tutorial http://www.inside-oracle-apex.com/checkboxes-in-tabular-forms-the-easy-way/ Patrick

    It works very well. But now I also want to turn another field based on the question of whether this check box is checked or not. To do this, I followed another post on how to do it and it also works. But the problem is when I try to save the form, I get the dreaded MRU error.

    Tabular form fields
    NAME, SALARY, ACTIVE

    NAME-> Normal text box
    SALARY-> I want this field to be enabled/disabled based on the value of the last column ENABLED_CHECKBOX
    ENABLED_CHECKBOX-> it's a checkbox (created by following the tutorial of Patrick)

    What I did to make SALARY toggle dynamically (it works, but I get error MRU registration)
    Change ENABLED CHECKBOX_
    ENABLED_CHECKBOX-> This is a standard report with the following HTML Expression field:
    "< pre > < input type ="checkbox"#ENABLED_CHECKBOX # value =" "#ROWNUM #" name = "f40" id = "f40_ #ROWNUM # ' class = 'MyClass' / > < / pre >

    Additional dynamic action
    WHEN = change event
    Selection type = jQuery Selector
    JQuery Selector = .myClass
    Condition = no requirement

    Real Action = run Javascript

    Code =
    < pre >
    column_2_id = "f02_000" + $(this.triggeringElement).attr('id').substr (4);

    If (.attr ('checked')) $(this.triggeringElement)
    {
    $("#"_+_column_2_id).attr ("disabled", "disabled");
    }
    on the other
    {
    $("#"_+_column_2_id).attr ("disabled", false);
    }
    < / pre >

    Sylvie,

    You must reactivate the fields before being submitted, because the disabled fields are not subject at all - and that throws what APEX collections uses tabular forms. See my post here.

    Short version: use something like this as an action dynamic javascript before submitting the form:

    $('input:disabled').attr('disabled',false);

  • How to enable / disable certain fields based on the value of the checkbox

    This is probably a stupid question, but I was not able to find the trivial solution (I'm fairly new to the user's BlackBerry interface)

    Example scenario:

    Screen of the user interface with two components

    box: "Run daily.

    time field: ' to hh: mm ".

    If the check box is enabled, the hour field must be activated. If the check box is not selected, the time field should be disabled.

    I wasn't able to find a simple solution. The solution is to remove all components and re-create it with different style (Field.NON_FOCUSABLE |) Field.READONLY), but there are significant drawbacks:

    1. It's pretty messy keep the current value (if the user has modified the time field and click twice on the box, I would like to have the same value and the field must be dirty)
    2. She becomes more messy when you have more complicated logic (panels inside panels that should be enabled / disabled based on all parent checkboxes)

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

    The way I handled it was to the custom methods in areas that allow me to set the disabled and then state substitute TouchEvent, NavigationMovement and NavigationClick methods to search for this variable and simply return true if it is defined. This will take care of the FieldChanged States and targeted to make them unable to be activated.

  • How to calculate the sum of two digital form fields based on the selection of the checkbox.

    I have a form in Acrobat Pro who needs a custom calculation. How to calculate the sum of two digital form fields based on a selection of the checkbox. I have three number fields. Field-A and B are simple one or two digits. Field-C is the sum, or the total field. I want to field-C have a control box which, when turned on and off, just gives a. gives the sum of A + B

    _ Field - 2

    _ Field - A 4

    [check] _ _ field - 6 C

    [disabled] _ _ field - 2 C

    Thank you

    The custom field C calculation script could be:

    (function () {

        // Get the values of the text fields, as numbers
        var v1 = +getField("A").value;
        var v2 = +getField("B").value;

        // Set this field's value based on the state of the check box named "CB"
        if (getField("CB").value !== "Off") {
            event.value = v1 + v2;
        } else {
            event.value = v1;
        }

    })();

    Replace 'A', 'B', and 'CB' with the real names of the fields.

  • Hide/show the fields based on textbox

    I wonder if there is a way to hide certain fields based on the question of if a user enters a value in a text box and then reappear if the value in the text box is removed and the field becomes white.

    I have two scenarios where I would this happen

    1. I have a "Non-registered" check box and a text field 'blood pressure '. If the user check mark the box "Not registered", the field of blood pressure is hidden (I managed this already). If the user unclicks the box, the field of blood pressure again (even once, I did already). Otherwise, if the user enters a value in the 'pressure' I would 'Unregistered' area to disappear. I got this as well with this code: (placed in the form of javascript Action, mouse upward, event)

    this.getField("Not_Recorded").display = event.target.value = "Off"? Display.visible: display.hidden;

    I don't know if it's the appropriate script that I use, but he did not hide the field "unregistered". The problem is, I would 'not registered' to hide if a value is entered in the field of blood pressure and reappear if this value is then removed (i.e., the user changes his mind or made a mistake and wants to not click saved instead). I don't know if it's feasible or just way too complicated for me to do.

    2. in the second scenario, I have 2 text fields where the user must enter a value for weight in pounds or kilograms. There is a text box for a value of lbs and a text box for a value in kg. If the user enters a value for books, I'd like to field for kgs be hidden, but still, if they delete this value so that the lbs field becomes empty, I would field for kgs reappear.

    is this feasible or is there another way I might be able to do this?

    For the first, I would not hide the check box for the reason you give. In addition to hide the text field, it must reset it so that any value that the user may have entered is not retained when it is hidden.

    If you really want to show/hide the check box depending on whether there is an entry in the text field, you can use the validation script customized for the text field:

    var f is getField ("unregistered");.

    If (! event.value) {}

    f.Display = display.visible;

    } else {}

    f.Value = "Off";

    f.Display = display.hidden;

    }

    For this script start working, you change the value in the text field.

    For the second problem, what I do, is to have a single text field and two boxes to tick to indicate lbs or kg. If you want to stay with the configuration you have, you can clear the other text field with a custom validation script:

    Script for weight_lbs custom validate field

    If (event.value) getField("weight_kgs").value = "";

    Do the same for the other text field, but change the domain name in the script. This will allow only one field to be filled at the same time and do not bother with the masking.

  • Auto-fill text box values field based on the selection of the menu drop-down

    Try to fill in address, city, province, zip from text fields based on the selected option in a select form field. The following code works fine in Internet Explorer, but in Chrome or Firefox, after selection, text, the fields are filled with the word "undefined."

    I found a PHP script Jquery here version that would probabably do the trick.
    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/3657127/jQuery-populate-text-input-from-table-based-on-select-Valeur

    Maybe someone has a version of CF. they could share?

    Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me to a solution for this code, or a better way to fulfill my need.

  • How the auto fill a field based on the drop-down list unless the specific item is selected

    Hi all

    My apologies if I posted this in in the wrong place, but I am new to these forums, JavaScript and Adobe LiveCycle.

    I am trying to build a form using LiveCycle Acrobat but have problems with the drop-down lists.

    Inititaly I just wanted to fill in the fields in a table based on a matching menu selection dropdown in another table.

    I used the following code and it worked fine:

    Workbook.Content.Table1.Row3.AppropriationDetails.Row4.Cell1::change - (JavaScript, client)

    fFrom var = xfa.resolveNodes ("Workbook.Content.Table1.Row3.AppropriationDetails [*]. Row4.cell1');

    OTF var = xfa.resolveNodes ("Workbook.Content.Table2.Row3.AppropriationDetails [*]. Row4.cell1");

    for (var i = 0; i < = fFrom.length - 1; i ++) {}

    fTo.item (i) .rawValue = fFrom.item (i) .boundItem (xfa.event.newText);

    }

    The problem is that now I want the code above works UNLESS one of the items in the drop-down list is enabled specifically in this case, I want the text box in the other table to display a message such as "Details of the entry in the field below.

    I tried to create an If Else statement using the following code:

    Workbook.Content.Table1.Row3.AppropriationDetails.Row4.Cell1::change - (JavaScript, client)

    fFrom var = xfa.resolveNodes ("Workbook.Content.Table1.Row3.AppropriationDetails [*]. Row4.cell1');

    OTF var = xfa.resolveNodes ("Workbook.Content.Table2.Row3.AppropriationDetails [*]. Row4.cell1");

    for (var i = 0; i < = fFrom.length - 1; i ++) {}

    If (fFrom.item (i) .rawvalue = "Option 3") {}

    fTo.item (i) .rawValue = "enter the details in the field below.

    }

    else {}

    fTo.item (i) .rawValue = fFrom.item (i) .boundItem (xfa.event.newText);

    }

    }

    The code now filled the field with "Enter the details in the field below" any item I select in the drop-down list.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

    You use .rawValue in the change event. This will cause problems because the selection of the users has not received .rawValue from the drop-down list at the time when the change event is triggered.

    Move your script as it should to the output of the dropdown event.

    Hope that helps,

    Niall

  • Display of a field on the form of the user's profile based on the results of another field

    Hello

    I have a requrement in which I'm supposed to display a checkbox based on the selection of the value to the employee type drp down.

    Thus, for example, if the field of employee type is selected with a value of 'Entrepreneur', a box should appear on the user profile form. If the value is anythign to another aprt of the contractor, the form should not display this box.

    Any ideas if this can be achieved OOB or it would require customization to the JSPs?

    Thank you
    Aerts

    You can use ajax and DHTML to achieve this functioanlity. I've already implemented and it works very well.

    See you soon!

  • How to present the user programmatically with different input parameters based on the choice of the Group of entry?

    I have an array of items that represent the inputs to an operation.  The user is allowed to choose a random order for entries to assemble in the table.  Each element, however, requires different input associated parameters that are used by the operation to define each choice.  I realize that, for an array of clusters, the individual cluster array element must all have the same format, that is, they must all have the same type and number of the cluster inputs or outputs.

    Ideally, I would like to have a picture of the clusters, where each cluster has a different set of inputs.  Does anyone have ideas for a solution of programming would be to approach or to simulate such a structure?

    Thank you

    Mike H.

    Hello

    I tried soemthing and attached the VI (LV 2010)

    develop something similar to what is in the attached VI and then package clusters for which the user enters the parameters... I prefer the tabs page, more than the cluster "all settings".

  • Show/hide fields based on the user's selection

    I know little of Javascript, but my first attempts to integrate it in Acrobat are bothersome. I have created a simple form where the user via a check box the number of people that he or she must register, then the form shows that several fields to complete. I tried to make it work with a single field, before I add more.

    In this example, I'm trying just to get the second hidden registered field if the user checks only 1 person to register. (I already know that I have issues when it comes to hide several fields).

    If (event.target.value == "0") {}

    this.getField("Registrant2").display = display.hide;

    }

    Given that I do not know what is the value of exports, try this:

    If (event.target.value! == 'Off') {}

    this.getField("Registrant2").display = display.hidden;

    }

    You can add an else clause so that the field is displayed when the check box is not selected:

    If (event.target.value! == 'Off') {}

    this.getField("Registrant2").display = display.hidden;

    } else {}

    this.getField("Registrant2").display = display.visible;

    }

    If this does ' t work, you don't maybe not the correct domain name. Verify that the console (Ctrl + J) to see all JavaScript errors are reported.

  • How can I display more fields based on the value of another field in conjunction with the visibility of the others?

    I have 17 text fields 'questions' and have hidden buttons for each I would appear once the administrator puts in a "password" at the bottom of the page.

    For the "password", I created a text field to enter this password and a "Log In" button.

    I want to be able to do is for the user to put in the 'password' and the 'Log In' button contains the script necessary to display these fields. 17 text fields show only one at a time, so I want the action of the 'Log In' button to show only the hidden buttons corresponding to the current visible areas.

    Here is my code. What happens is little matter what I do, it says the password is incorrect and mask "publient1" which has never been specified in the code in a variable.

    Initially, I had the first "else if" statement as the first "If" statement, but the results are the same in any event.

    These lines in your code does not make sense (and the rest of the code is dependent on them):

    iv1 var = issue1.display = display.visible;

    I think what you mean probably to do is the following:

    iv1 var = (issue1.display == display.visible);

    This sentence of yours shows a lack of understanding of the JS operators:

    I also tried several operators equal sign for password.value, including a single equal sign, through three equal signs.

    You should do some research and find out what the differences are between '=', 'is' and ' ='. '. They are essential to your code.

  • Toggling text element based on the selection of a list item

    Hello friends,

    I have a header data block where I have a field to not enter the name of book and a REGD Item list that displays 'Yes' and ' ' and a text REG_NO element.

    When the user selects 'Yes', the text REG_NO element must be enabled so that the user can enter the number of the book.

    By choosing 'No', the REG_NO element must be disabled.

    I have included a trigger WHEN-LIST-CHANGED in the list REGD item.

    I added the following code in the trigger above:

    --=======================================

    BEGIN

    IF: HEADER. REGD = ' don't

    THEN

    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('HEADER.) REG_NO', ENABLED, PROPERTY_FALSE);

    ON THE OTHER

    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('HEADER.) REG_NO', ENABLED, PROPERTY_TRUE);

    END IF;

    END;

    --=======================================

    However, when the form is opened, the text REG_NO element is enabled.

    When the user chooses the 'no' in the list item REGD, then the text REG_NO element is disabled as expected.

    However, when you choose 'Yes' in the item list REGD, the text REG_NO element does not get activated.

    Can someone let me know how to activate the text element.

    Concerning

    Hawker

    When you disable an item, NAVIGALE, INSERT_ALLOWED, and UPDATE_ALLOWED properties are also set to False, then you will need to reactivate their when you reactivate an item.

  • JavaScript to remove the contents of the fields based on the checkbox disabled

    I'm writing a java script to delete the contents of the fields when a checkbox's checked to disabled.  I have a java script to fill in the field when the checkbox is enabled (which works perfectly).  But in the case where the user accidentally checks the field and wants to uncheck the box I would like the content of field that were initially filled from the first java script to be removed/disabled.

    Here is my code:

    Mouse Up Script for the checkbox (function() {}

    Do something if this check box is not selected.
    if(Event.Target.Value==="on") return;

    Copy the values from text previously filled in those other fields.

    getField("AP_Unit").value = Null;
    getField("AP_StreetAddress").value = Null;
    getField("AP_City").value = Null;
    getField("AP_Province").value = Null;
    getField("AP_ZIP").value = Null;
    getField("AP_Country").value = Null;

    })();

    Sorry it works... that make three equal signs "=" means?

    Here is my code

    If {(event.target.value==="Off)"}
    getField("AP_Unit").value =("");
    getField("AP_StreetAddress").value =("");
    getField("AP_City").value =("");
    getField("AP_Province").value =("");
    getField("AP_ZIP").value =("");
    getField("AP_Country").value =("");

    } else {}

    getField("AP_Unit").value = getField("HO_Unit").valueAsString;
    getField("AP_StreetAddress").value = getField("HO_StreetAddress").valueAsString;
    getField("AP_City").value = getField("HO_City").valueAsString;
    getField("AP_Province").value = getField("HO_Province").valueAsString;
    getField("AP_ZIP").value = getField("HO_ZIP").valueAsString;
    getField("AP_Country").value = getField("HO_Country").valueAsString;
    }

  • Calculate the value of the field based on the value of the user input field

    Hi all

    We use a BPM 11.1.1.5.0 with feature pack. We have BPM form which has five fields all the text in the input field. The user will enter any amount in these fields. We have another field in the form that displays the sum of the field all five. This should add the input value dynamically when the user navigates out of a field.

    I'm not able to think how I can achieve this. It is valuechangelistener I need code. Should I use a java code to get the value of the entry field and make the calculation in the java code and then assign it to the output field? or is there an option/BPM feature that allows to avoid java coding.

    Thanks in advance

    Sachin Gupta

    Add this as an idea because you asked how this could be done without Java code.

    If all five digital and no other item reference fields cannot be empty or null, you can:

    (1) for each of the 5 numeric fields, expand the section "Behavior" property and set their properties Autosubmit true. As you look at each of the 5 areas, note the text in each of their property 'Id '.

    (2) for the numeric field (I'll call it the "SumValue" field), you added that you want to add the other fields, expand the "behavior" property section-> click the arrow to the right of the property 'PartialTriggers'-> in the transfer dialog box that comes up, select each of the 5 areas (those you find the ID of the first step) and their shuttle above the selected list-> click OK-> look at your PartialTriggers for the field of SumValue property - it should now display the ID 5 with spaces between them.

    (3) open each of the 5 areas and copy the text in each of their properties 'Value' (e.g. #{bindings.) Salary1.inputValue}) and paste this text for each of the 5 text fields in your text editor in a text-> if editor is

    #{bindings.Salary1.inputValue} #{bindings.Salary2.inputValue} #{bindings.Salary3.inputValue} #{bindings.Salary4.inputValue} #{bindings.Salary5.inputValue}

    to take

    #{bindings.Salary1.inputValue+bindings.Salary2.inputValue+bindings.Salary3.inputValue+bindings.Salary4.inputValue+bindings.Salary5.inputValue}

    (4) select the field 'SumValue'-> again in the property Panel, delete the text in the field 'Value'-> paste the text you created in your text editor in the 'Value' property of the field SumValue.

  • Display image based on the value of the variable of the choice by the user

    Hi all, I hope someone can help with what I think is a simple request. Ive only been using Captivate 7 for a few days and still feeling my way around things.

    I installed a question multiple choice quiz that has 4 possible answers (correct 1: incorrect 3.)

    It works fine out of the box, and when a user presses the button send the response box appears showing if the user responded to this correctly or not.

    What I want to do, that is forward a bit, and if the user gets the answer wrong I would a small image of a check mark appears next to the correct answer.

    I have included my image on the stage, he gave an alpha of 0 to hide effectively.

    In interactions in advance, I created a variable called showImage with an initial value of 0

    What I am struggling with now is how to increase the value of the variable to 1 when a user selects a wrong answer and change the alpha of 0 to 100 for show the image illustrating the choice of the correct answer.

    I know that what I have described, is essentially what is happening at the end of the quiz, if a user has access to review their answers but I would like to be able to do as they progress through the questions.

    Thanks a lot for your help

    D

    Hi D,

    What you need to do is rather than make his alpha 0. It completely hide the scene until the user gives the correct answer.

    So, I want you.

    (1) insert a picture

    2) go to image and all properties panel up - untick 'Visible output.

    (3) open properties Quiz, select under Actions failure level 1/2/3

    (4) select 'Last attempt' as 'Show' and the image you you inserted

    This way the image will appear if the user selects an incorrect answer.

    I hope this helps.

    See you soon,.
