    Hello

This would seem to relate to the ALPS to the device which is strange!  I think it would be interesting to try to reinstall the driver ALPS.

First, download the driver from the link below and save it to your desktop.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp37501-38000/sp37794.exe

Now, open windows control panel, open Device Manager, open "mice and other pointing devices, right-click on the pointing device and select Properties. Click the driver tab and then click on uninstall.  Once done, do not restart the laptop.  Go back on the desktop, right-click on the Setup program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, restart your computer, open windows control panel and open the mouse settings to see if you have a tab on the ALPS pointing device available now.

Looking forward to hear from you.

First, download the latest installer driver Synaptics, on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    Hey Buddy,

As far as I know the utility power touchpad is designed only for Windows XP and not Vista or Windows 7...

Usually the touchpad off automatically when a USB mouse is connected. This option can be set in the touchpad driver. If you need to install the driver for the touchpad Synaptics and Alps Electric of Vista for your model.

After that, check the settings for the touchpad for this option!

  • Synaptic touchpad on gateway tablet is not recognized by windows 7

I have a gateway tablet that uses a Synaptic touchpad.
I downloaded the latest synaptics drivers and installed but it seems that Windows does not recognize that I have a touchpad.
Under the hardware in the mouse properties I see that:
HID: Fine Point Innovations Tablet: my pen
HID: USB input device: mouse USB My
I think that there should be a 3rd device in the list that says HID: Touchpad or something
There is a Synaptics device settings, but all the buttons are grayed, as it does nothing to actually apply the settings to.

I am aware that there is a shortcut: Fn + F7 to enable and disable my touchpad. I tried both ways and tried to search the hardware changes but NO luck :(

I had Win 7 RC b4 and had the same problem. I tried several methods at that time to fix it, but none of them worked. I have since made a clean install and don't have my mouse touchpad not working at all.

Help, please... I'm pretty sick of carrying a mouse everywhere

    Hi nivurad,

In the Web of Synaptics site, it is mentioned that the Synaptics device driver is customized to meet the specific requirements of the manufacturer of your device. To make sure get you the device appropriate for your system, driver download your device driver Synaptics support to your system manufacturer's website.

You may need to contact the manufacturer (Gateway) laptop to download your Synaptics device driver.

    See: http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/Gateway/M280/1008547nv.shtml

Also, check if the laptop Gateway (exact model number) is compatible with Windows 7 and check if the drivers are available for Windows 7 by using this link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

  • G780 keyboard does not work, but ONLY if the Elan Touchpad driver is installed.

I have a bad surprise today--unlike other manufacturers, which offers one year free tech support, Lenovo does not. $179 for a contract or $89 to cover an isolated incident. Thank you, guys. :-/

    Here's my problem.

G780, bought last October. Upgrade to Win7 Home Premium Win8 Pro.

A few days ago the integrated keyboard has stopped working. It works in the BIOS, but when you start in Windows, Windows does not recognize it.

There is a PS/2 keyboard driver and device keyboard HID that appear in Win8 Device Manager. I guess these are the drivers for the built-in keyboard. If I plug in a USB keyboard, it appears in the device as an additional device keyboard HID Manager.

By trial and error, I discovered that the keyboard still works fine when the Elan touchpad driver is not installed. The problem with THAT: I can not disable the touchpad unless the driver is installed, and if the touchpad is not disabled, it will screw me up because I accidentally brush my hand against the touchpad while typing.

I also noticed that sometimes the touchpad in the system tray icon with a WARNING icon overlaid on top of it (you know, the little yellow triangle with exclamation point). I can't understand why, and I can't understand what has changed on my computer that caused the keyboard to stop functioning properly.

I tried uninstalling the Elan touchpad driver, download the latest driver from support G780 web page and put it back. No luck.

I make do with a USB keyboard at the moment, but I really need this problem is resolved.

    Thanks in advance.

So I had uninstalled the drivers of momentum earlier... yesterday I tried to reinstall those supplied with the computer.

At least the keyboard worked now, but the drivers have not been properly disable the touchpad when I plugged the mouse.

Then I hit Fn - F6, not really thinking that he would do anything, but it fixed the problem.

I would have but the pilot would have overridden some setting I put with Fn - F6, but... maybe not.

    Problem solved.

  • Toggle the scrollbars application programmatically

    Hello

Right now, I need to change some of our customized in LabVIEW 2010 tools to work on lower resolution screens. The auto resizing feature is not really an option that it distorts most of the features of the user interface. I looked at the addition of a vertical/horizontal scroll to the application bar, and that seems to be what I need reasonably well. Unfortunately for those who do not have screens high resolution, I would like to really as for the scroll bars to activate. Is there a way to toggle the scroll bar vertical or horizontal of an application programmatically? I can see what is possible for the controls, but did not find the option for effective enforcement.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

  • How to create a shortcut to toggle the sound device?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to create a shortcut to toggle the USB audio device in Device Manager?

A shortcut is to enable this device, and the other shortcut is disable this device.

    Thanks for all the suggestions

    Hi oem7110,

    · Why you want to create a shortcut to enable or disable an audio device from Device Manager?

You will be able to create the shortcut to Device Manager but no shortcut to enable/disable a device in Device Manager:

    a. right-click on the space empty where you want to create a shortcut

    b. click the shortcut

    c. in the type of space empty in devmgmt.msc

    d. click Next and follow the instructions in the wizard.

I tried to deavtivating the wireless mouse and reset to factory manufacturer.  This does not re-enable the Touchpad.
