too many home pages

I opened both pages, I tried for home pages, then went to Tools > Options. I clicked on use current pages. Now, when I open Firefox, 3 tabs open. The 3rd is the options page I used to set the home pages. How can I get rid of the 3rd page? Thanks for your help.
Win 10, the latest version of Firefox.

Note that this can occur if you click on "use current page (s) ' to set the home page.
You can pin the tab with the subject: the preferences page to avoid including: preferences for layout home page if you want to use this button.
To set a page as the home page, you can drag the globe/lock for the home button.

Something has changed within FF in the updates... How can I get the expected return behavior?

We try to understand what you want to achieve and perhaps provide an alternative because it does not work with Firefox the way you currently use.

If you set multiple home pages then all of these pages will open if you click the home button.

That has always been the case in Firefox.

In some cases the active tab may be protected and these pages open in a new tab, so you can end up with two additional tabs if you have two pages defined as many home pages.

  • Too many printing pages

I need help, I have a laptop which uses Vista and I print to multiple printers using this laptop. Recently, I looked at problems with a printer (HP Laser Jet 1012 - which I use as a default printer), when I print something it keeps printing the same thing over and over until I kill the power to the printer or cancel the job. This problem started recently (about 7 days ago) and I had no problem with this printer for over a year.

    Help of supplications,

    Bill

Are you sure that you have configured it to print only one copy - sometimes that can be overlooked.

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.  See if the problem persists.

If so, try to uninstall and reinstall the printer and any software provided with (including printer, software drivers and firmware if applicable - you can check the HP site to see if they have updated versions for your printer and the version of Vista and use instead of what you already have on the system).

If none of these suggestions doesn't help, I suggest that repost you this question in hardware and drivers Forum at: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistahardware/threads where people who specialize in hardware problems will be more than happy to help you with your problem.

    I hope this helps.

I can do it on firefox?

If you have defined an iGoogle (http://www.google.com/ig) page, Google stops this service in a few months. There are many new services springing up to be your home page, but I don't know if none of them work with your data to Google. I'm sure that you will need to separate service, although, because Firefox is not a built-in feature of gathering all that data.

  • How to make my home page in a new tab in firefox 13

So they locked the thread relating to this issue, on the fallacious grounds that FF13 has a new new tab interface. But this new interface prevents actually get you your home page in a new tab.
I have the habit of using the new homepage tab Add on, but who did not work for several versions. So I used then NewTabUrl, but now they have decided to break that.

I am completely sick of firefox constantly make me re-learn my browser interface every two weeks. I have more important things to do that to spend hours trying to figure out what that some empty 'designer' now think is a really cute way for me to go where I want to go.

All I want is a new tab to give me the page of my choice, not an algorithm isn't relevant ridiculous imagined in a conference room with too many whiteboards and not enough common sense.

    OK, several hours later:
Solution 1: do this about: config, find newtab, find the entry for browser.newtab.url, and enter your favorite example Homepage http://www.google.com

This ensures that you avoid having the tile image, BUT the focus is in the url bar, not in the google search field. Why Firefox do that they are allowed to fly the goal in this way this is beyond me and drives me crazy - what is the probability that the first thing I want to do is to enter a url?

Solution 2: use a different add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/custom-new-tab. It is an option if you want the focus in the url bar or not. I disabled my existing NewTabUrl module, just in case of conflict.

Now you get your favorite in a new tab homepage, and new tabs have focus in the google search bar.

But the first homepage when you open firefox, always steals the focus and puts it in the url bar. At the time where I can find no way to stop it - idiots to Firefox know clearly much better that me how can I use my home page. Quite exasperating.

  • Avoid too many objects to Navigation stack

    Hello

In my application, I use the navigation pane to navigate through my app. So I have now nearly 4 to 6 different pages in a given stack a navigation pane, I was just wondering, what could be a good practice to avoid pushing too many pages to the pile of navPane?
I used navPane with 4 to 6 pages in the stack in the first place because the value of the index selected in the standard list item determines what to display. the problem is, if the user wants to go back, go all the way back (pop all the pages) to see the home page.
Is there a better layout work or idea that could help in this case?

    Thank you
    S.

    Welcome on the support forums.

    There are several possible approaches.
If you do not want to keep the previous page when you press a new one you can use https://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/reference/bb__cascades__navigationpane.html#function-remov... to remove the page (after another is pushed) in silence.

If you want more flexibility, you can also use access to any page of your carpet.
