  You have received the Toshiba Recovery CD. Right?
  On this recovery CD, you will find the image of Toshiba.
  It is a package that contains the OS, drivers Toshiba, tools and additional software.

  Just says that the recovery CD supports all applications that are / have been preinstalled on your laptop.
  You have to boot from the recovery CD and the laptop will be set to the factory settings.
  This means that you will get all THE programs that were pre-installed at the beginning!

  So, I wonder were the problem is?  :|

  The first alert of Tempro when I switched on the new computer has been updated to a newer version of face recognition.
  I downloaded and unzipped the file ok, it install until I uninstalled the previous version but I can not see how to do this.

  First of all the Tempro alert is only a notification that a new update is available, but this doesn t mean that you NEED to update.
  If you have any problems with your laptop and software, then I would not update anything.
  I'm always this recommendation; never change a running system ;)

  However, I imagine that you must remove the older version before the new could be installed.
  You can remove the tool from the software area which is located in the Panel.

  But like I said; It of not necessary if everything is ok.

  You must first create the Vista recovery DVDs using Toshiba tool called creator Toshiba Recovery prior to a new installation of XP.

  Some tools called components software (McAfee Internet Security Suite 2008, Google software, free 60 day trial of Microsoft Office Professional 2007, Ulead DVD MovieFactory) are only available in the image of Toshiba and not on the Toshiba page driver and, therefore, you must create the first recovery DVDs.

  I have just formatted my laptop to get rip of all the dross, but want to start with a Windows XP without the Toshiba network fantasy stuf (configfree etc.).

  The technicians at work are always moaning that they are not familiar with it and I can never follow the standardized for Windows because the recovery Toshiba bins standard features of Windows for the Tosh ones.

  Is it possible to recover my laptop with the drivers for all the bits (for example, WiFi, mouse pads, sound, etc) that all other dross-free?

  At first, I must say that a CD or a Toshiba Recovery DVD contains an image file.
  These files to image is a package and it contains the OS, driver Toshiba, tools and additional software like ConfigFree ;)

  So if you use the Toshiba Recovery CD and recover the laptop then all these pieces of software will be installed on the HARD disk and you cannot choose what needs to be installed or what is not necessary

  You can remove the software that is not important to you after the recovery procedure.
  On the other hand, you could also install the OS by using the own Windows operating system then you can download and could install the drivers of Toshiba.

• HP Setup crashes with a runtime error for interface C309-m software

  I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  All operating system updates are installed.

  I need to update the software to interface with my printer HP Photosmart Premium C309-m.  The current software is out of date.  I can't start the scan from the printer, and only my account on the computer recognizes that I have a printer.  Several analysis diagnosis on the State of HP Scan Doctor tool that some software components seem to be missing.  The printer itself seems to work very well.

  When I try to update the software C309-m via HP Print/Scan doctor, software downloads, extracted, then runs and crashes with a runtime error.  The error box comes from the Microsoft Visual C++ run-time library and the crash of Setup runs is the appdata/local/temp/7zS3DA1 directory that I seem to have several similar directories that were not cleaned from previous installation attempts.

  Any suggestions on how to get a successful installation of the C309-m software would be appreciated.

  Cisco removed the ability to search for known bugs in a particular software version?

  The new tool of bug seems to allow seraches if you know the ID of the bug.

  All my attempts to locate the old dialog box where you enter platform and software information ended up in this new tool.

  The link of display bugs in advising software also now just takes you to the new bug tool.

  How am I supposed to identify a potential bug that we are witnessing on our infrastructure when I clearly do not know the ID of the bug?

  The information on the link for this tool States 'Finding software bugs based on the product, release and key word'. I don't see how this is possible.

  I see that you do not have an assosiated to your Cisco.com user ID valid service contract. To search for bugs in products or releases, you need a valid service contract in your Cisco.com user ID.

  If you do not have a service contract you can get one through:

  • Your team if you have a purchase contract direct with Cisco Cisco
  • Your Cisco partner or reseller

  Once you have the service contract, you must associate your service agreement with your Cisco.com user ID with the Profile Manager

  I checked Services, (I don't know what needs to be checked or not), but were stopped by some Microsoft services running (I went to start, typed msconfig to check these services, I also went to admin tools for services too)
