  I installed Firefox 10 9 - when I load firefox my bookmarks bar does not appear even if it is checked in the menu toolbars on the view menu. If I uncheck it then re - check it seems, but it's frustrating because I have to do this every time I load firefox.

  I also seem to have problems with the app tabs - which I've never used it before, but they do not remain once I close firefox and it is I thought to reopen was supposed to happen. I have not activated the private browsing.

  Hello fairtime2, sorry to hear about your problems with your HP computer. It seems you might have a virus. From your description, it seems to be a virus.

  You normally would not have any disk backup of your system, but rather a backup of partition on your hard disk to restore the system to its original state when shipped from HP.

  Here a link to how to restore from recovery for your computer. You will lose all the data added to the computer, since you started using it.

  Just look at the Windows XP Recovery section.

  As your system is so unstable, you may not be able to accomplish this from Windows.

  On some systems, when the system boots, you can see a screen that will show you a few options.

  Just look at the recovery section during startup.

  One of these options is for a restoration of recovery. Simply press the F10 key repeatedly to enter this recovery restore utility.

  Choose to format the hard drive. You will get an error that all data will be lost, but just continue and in 15 minutes, the system must be restored to its original state.

  This seems to be the only way to recover from some of these nasty viruses.

• Quick Launch toolbar problem

  I have created some icons in my Quick Launch toolbar and has doubled the size of the line. I want only the toolbar to a high line, but it's two. Who is? Time / date, windows security, the network on the right icons are in a small square instead of being horizontal in a format of a line. If I hide the quick launch, it returns to normal, but if I show I get a big blue block on the screen. If I take the top I can make it bigger, but if I pull it down, I can get to two lines and the next step is all the way down, out of sight. Someone at - it a cure for this. I hope I explained that well. Thank you.

  I fixed it just somehow. As I accidentally mucked it upward, I did the same and that fixed it. Thanks anyway.

  I believe you are referring to the taskbar? If you are, then there is no way to change that; the taskbar is designed to fill the length of your screen.

  However, you are able to hide the taskbar. To do this, click the Start menu -> click-> from the Control Panel click on appearance and personalization -> click taskbar and Start Menu. Here, uncheck the box that says lock the taskbarand check the box to Auto-hide the taskbar .

  At the time where Firefox has become very slow, I've been running Chrome for several versions. I'm now trying to switch to Firefox. I have 27.0.1. My bookmarks toolbar disappears whenever I close the browser. I tried all the recommendations I can find including zero and change of name, etc, but nothing has failed to cure the problem. Restore default used to work for the current session, but now it does not work. I'm about to give up and stick with Chrome as the bookmarks toolbar problem is driving me crazy. I'm about to try to uninstall and reinstall Firefox. And this will be my last resort, unless you get a solution to this problem. I've been a Firefox user since its inception up to 16 or 17 years old and like Firefox, but this seems to be common according to my research. BOOKMARKS BAR IS A MUST HAVE!
