Toshiba NB200 - startup problem (Windows XP) - unable to access safe mode
Hello
I have a laptop Toshiba NB200 with Windows XP. When I turned on, it would not start past the first screen and I couldn't make F8 safe mode.
The only thing I can do is go into the BIOS Setup, and that's all (press F12).The BIOS recognizes the hard drive. Then, I created a USB stick to boot from and that made me a C: quick MSDOS having first changed the BIOS to read the USB first and also updated the BIOS (Phoenix v1.6).
I'm not clear as to what I do then in the folder c: prompt will not let me run windows and shows just the files on the USB key.
Should I copy the files from windows to the USB port? In addition, how will I know if the hard drive has failed and that it is unrecoverable (I hope not)?Any guidance welcome!
Thank youHello
Eventually, there is no Windows OS on the HARD drive and therefore you can not start safe mode or the OS.
You have a recovery disk or you did backup the image of Toshiba on the USB flash key?If this isn't the case, then you need to reinstall the OS of the own Windows XP CD.
You could build a clean Windows XP USB flash stick that can reinstall the OS.
I think that this should be possible since you started the laptop backpack. Here's a nice instruction how to do this:

New problem z50 - 75 wireless? Startup problem
Hello
I had an another hp laptop which had a problems but the know-how could not fix it so they give money and I brought another Hp 4 days but then she had to be exchanged because of defective. Currys and PCWORLD even gave, but the problem kept pass. So I just paid the HP one and brought 3 days LENOVO Z50-75 it y a. the first Hp laptop, I had, had dns clients warnings in Event Viewer when you use wireless. Same thing on the new computer hp laptop. This problem still occurs in the LENOVO one too. These events started in Windows 10 for all laptops hp and lenovo. My computer laptop lenovo came with windows 10 in any case. So either it's a bug that should be fixed by a new update for the network adapter needs to be released. Computer laptop lenovo has Qualcomm Atheros the old hp laptop realtek the new computer hp laptop that was defective was and intel double wireless broadband and the same edition, DNS CLIENT EVENTS 1014 WARNINGS are still happening. This is definetley not my ISP fault because I replaced the router, more they found nothing on a week 2 diagnostics test on my internet. SO I just want to say lenovo that if there is a way you can fix this. Another thing is that after installation WIN10 threshold 2 on Lenovo Z50-75 when starting of the laptop it shows the logo screen once then black lenovo and then black screen again, then it boots. I have also all the latest updates. So if there is a way guys can fix that also. I'll post this in the microsoft forums too if they can help. Thank you

HP Pavilion 23: startup problems
Because we bought our computer in October 2014, we had many problems with the start, problems of drivers, startup problems, graphic card problems and more. It was supposed to be fixed once by the bu retailer still, there are questions. The biggest problem is starting:-it freezes, error messages that say lag not found drivers or disk not detected though when checked is. Also, we have done numerous resets hard which are just a quick temporary solution and back problems. We pay every month for a service contract with the retailer, but they mostly just try to run the store for our computer repair you... NOT HAPPY because for the third day, we bought there have been problems and we haven't bought a computer to sit in a workshop constantly, not at the price we paid coupled with the monthly fee for whatr amounts to nothing. Is there something we can do to solve this problem without driving miles and being without a computer that actually, we bought to USE?
Hello
Without compromising your contract, I suggest
SYSINTERNALS which is a suite of tiny applications bit that may help.
https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/default
Now only 3 or 4 are likely to be beneficial, and some does not at all because they are for servers etc.
Thus a special interest may be...
AutoRuns
LoadOrder
RamMap (maybe)
Contig (maybe)
PageDfrg
ROOTKITREVEALER
DiskView (maybe)
PsInfo (not really)
psping (not really)
After trying a few please ask if there is something to be interpreted.
I suggest you turn off auto update if you can.

Startup problem blue screen that seems to be associated with BHDRVX64
I have a laptop model Dell Inspiron N5110 running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - Bit. I have Norton Security Suite running - seems to be normal. When I started my pc this morning, I got the dreaded blue screen of death. A window will appear which indicates that there is a startup problems and offers several options to correct the startup problem. One option is to run a startup repair program. I tried and failed, then it has proposed restoring to a previous date program. It does not work. He suggested then reload the Windows program by providing more options of Windows rereloading. I'll try the drive backuo system I created when I got the new computer-, but then, for reasons unknown, my pc suddenly decided to restart all of himself and it started normally. Happy, happy. But then a window pops up that says my computer has a device problem that has been identified as "ROOT\LEGACY_BHDRVX64\0000" she added that "BHDRVX64" was absent, does not, or that he needed a driver. Okay now my pc works normally, but I'm afraid to turn my pc off because this problem seems to be associated with start-up. »
HELP, HELP. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you. Bobbysan 70
This program is part of the Norton Security software, so I would like to uninstall and reinstall. For more information, see with Symantec. Here is a link to the Google search, I did, FWIW.
When you got your system back as you, I invite you to buy an external hard drive, and a good backup 3rd party program. You can configure it to automatically do everything in time and frequency of your choice. 1 TB external hard disks around $ 70 these days and a very good FREE backup program corresponds to the Easeus todo backup free of charge that you can download from
http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home/free-backup-software.htm . Who can make you save a lot of time and frustration, the next time something like this happens. Sooner or later, it happens to all computers for one reason or another.
Good luck.

You said in your 1st post + "suddenly 2 days back NODE1 got failed...". » +
That happened the node does get deported, did the crash of the instance...?
Have you looked in the nodes of the log files if there are errors during this time? I don't understand that you can't get any kind of message in the log files to give us an indication of what could be wrong. Please look at all the files following logs on both nodes during the period when the 1st omitted node:

L50D-B-147 satellite startup problems
Hi all, I had a L50D-B-147, had again since July and it has been great.
Lately, although something happened I hope you might be able to help with, it is under warranty then can be sent away to be looked at but I thought I would ask here first in case it is something I can fix it.That's the problem - no matter how long the laptop is off, be it overnight or just for 5 minutes, the first time that I turn it on it shows the Toshiba load screen then turns off. I don't get the circle loading or anything else.
However, when I turn it on again, it loads fine and I get no problems all day.
BIOS is up to date, as well as all other drivers. I tried to start without power connected, then with power but without battery. Tried without anything plugged into the USB, and I took everything out of Windows startup, but none of that made a difference.
It does feel not hot and is sitting on a table with a fan under it.Is there anything else I can try before I send it away? If it helps, I'm under 64-bit Windows 10 and since the day he arrived. It came with 8.1.
Thanks in advance.
Anyone?

Satellite S1800-814: startup problem, screen is black
I know there are several comments here to point out how the black screen at startup. I think my problem is similar, but I need a few more details.
A year ago, a friend of mine gave me his old laptop, a Satellite 1800-814. I use it mainly as a typewriter and check my email. He could never operate on battery only, longer than for a few seconds, but I've always used it with the connected power cable, no problems. Sometimes it wouldn't start, and I had to unplug the power supply for a while to turn on.
I was visiting someone and wanted to connect to the Internet. They had this USB wireless modem, that I have it plugged into my Toshiba. During installation, the PC froze, and I had to reboot by pressing the button market for some time. He did restart, but at a standstill. I restarted again, sometimes had it works, sometimes not, and ultimately he entered its current state: with the power cord plugged in, it will start, I'll hear the processor fan (or whatever it is) work and the lights of the battery and the power will be green at the bottom of the keyboard.
The screen, however, is black, there not all sounds and ceilings and the insert key lights do not react to what whether - they are permanently gone.
What is happening here? I tried to remove the battery, give it some time and then reinsert, but in vain. I also tried to start it upward with the USB connected modem, no luck there either. What I do have an appointment with the Doc of PC, or can I fix it?
I have really important documents there. Grateful for any help!
Your description is quite long, but I'm still confused. You mixed several questions in the description of the problem and there is no stated clear what happens when you press the button walk / stop.
Power is ON?
Is there a HARD disk activity?
You see something on the screen?
What happens if you use the power supply only (without the battery inside)?Sorry, but it is not easy to tell what can be the problem. The best thing you can do is to contact someone with enough experience PC. The person who has the laptop on the desk and try to start this laptop can be more specific about possible problems.
BTW: Please check this http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSD57013H000JR01.htm interesting document

Equium M50-192 - startup problem
I have a recently purchased EQUIUM M50-192 who developed a problem starting, a week after the purchase. To try to put the following happens
Press the button power
Turn on the light appears
H/D light access appears
CD-ROM flashes twice
Then cut the powerIt passes through this sequence also if I open the lid, which suggests that the pc is in standby, IE opening the lid starts above sequence, as if you press the power button / stop.
The same happens to a power supply (shows, seeing attatched and battery charge indicator) or only to batteries, also tried with battery but running.
Have tried boot boot from CD via the F12 key and power at the same time but no luck with that, as mentioned above, I think the computer think it is somehow sleep and does not need to access the restore normal startup sequence. Can't find anything in the documentation re this implies a fault. Currently may not resume as collateral as abroad with out the paperwork he's come up with, for the next 6 weeks.Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Hi, have you tried to remove the battery and then put back? Is also the adapter work correctly is the status light indicate a complete change?
If you still not the laptop so that it starts then you don't have much choice but to the send it to Toshiba for investigation.Richard S.

Vista startup problems - corrupt registry?
Hoping someone can help here. My wife has a laptop Toshiba Satellite with Vista Home Premium installed. The other day, the laptop has a beep and shut down. Now it won't start - it gets the Toshiba screen then goes to a white cursor blinking at the top left. Pressing F8 does not open to the top of the Recovery Console, I downloaded a program of Recovery Console and burned on a disc. I can choose to boot from the DVD drive and the recovery console opens upward.
I tried the Start Up repair, but still encounter an error that reads "the breakpoint of the exception: a breakpoint has been reached (0 x 80000003)" occurred in the application at location 0x739c746a: click ok to finish. ""
It will then open a box indicating that Windows cannot fix the problem. In detail, he lists the following:Problem Signature 01 external media
Signature of the problem 02 6.0.6000.16386.6.0.6001.18000
Signature 03 6 problem
Signature of the 04 262148 problem
Problem Signature 05 corrupt registry
Problem Signature 06 corrupt registry
Signature of the 07 32 problem
Signature 08 3 problem
Problem Signature 09 registry Rollback
Signature of the 10 32 problemI also ran chkdsk from the command prompt, but which found no errors.
There is no other backup disk and I don't have a copy of Vista with the laptop.Any advice will be welcome. Thanks in advance.
Hello StuartBrodie,
If we receive beep codes on commissioning and startup repair is to reach breakpoints, then we would like to hire Toshiba on this issue to run their hardware diagnostics.
Let us know.

Flashing question mark in the Macbook Pro Retina early 2015 at startup problem
I have the 128 GB of Macbook Pro retina early 2015 model. I bought my macbook, the year last January 2015. I am just now having problem with my mac. When I'm trying to boot my laptop it shows the flashing question mark and it does not start after that. For a while it worked, but after the update the laptop is never again.
After reading all the articles related to this issue and even after trying it the entire process for the departure of mac. I'm not able to start.
I tried all the normal recovery process in the process of recovery of the internet, but still it does not work for me. When I select the disk utility in the dialog box, the drive does not appear here, so I can't erase and start to reinstall the operating system.
What should I do now? I was looking for OEM SSD, but it's very expensive. with this prize money of (here in INDIA RS - 50 k) I can get the Macbook Air.
If please guide me on how to start the mac or what do I do next?
Thank you.
Frank Bsu
We have no way of knowing exactly what you have tried that doesn't work unless you tell us. A flashing question mark boot means that your Mac is unable to locate a startup disk to boot from.
If you haven't tried... start your Mac holding the key Option. That should launch the boot window manager have been, you can select the startup disk, and then click on restart.
If this does not help, you will need to take the Mac for the service.
