  That's what I want to do, so... Please help!

  I just buy new notebook TOSHIBA SATELLITE X 200-21 K, and I want to format it, and... to install Windows Vista Ultimate (not Windows Vista Home Premium product Recovery DVD-ROM).

  I downloaded all the drivers from...

  ... but I can't find the "Instructions of Installation' to download anywhere, so I can install it in the right order, unless... If 'Please click here to download textbooks.' is 'Instructions of Installation', if not... Please... where I can download the appropriate instructions!

  So... after I format and install new Vista Ultimate, I won't have... TOSHIBA original tools that came with the recovery DVD-ROM products, can I actually loose something with it, like... soft Web Cam help TOSHIBA TOSHIBA zooming Utility or or Protector Suite QL... and so on... I can go without it?

  Can I install or download just this sweet, once I installed Vista Ultimat, maybe product Recovery DVD - ROM, but how?

  Is it just the version of Windows Vista Home Premium that come
  with this product Recovery DVD-ROM or... all versions of Vista comes in this DVD, and you can choose which version you want to install?

  I hope someone will help me with my 'problem '!

  Regarding the Toshiba drivers on the Toshiba page;
  Well, on the page, you will find the common drivers and utilities you won't find 3rd party software characters, which is part of the image of Toshiba. These software are found only on the image of Toshiba (recovery CD).

  My first question is: why download drivers of "http://www.toshibamea.com/" is so slow and limited or something? It never ends download, I have always the connection interrupted when trying to download a driver, are there not other mirrors or something?

  Second question:

  Why are there so many useless drivers? as I put all my preferences, product type, family, model, series, and he gave me 33 pilot and some of them are not the drivers for my laptop

  I m not an expert but I'll try to offer my responses.

  1.
  As far as I know page of media you use is offered for the Middle East and Arica. I don't know where is the server placed but the download should not be problematic. In the past, I've used several times to check drivers and everything was OK. Perhaps there is a problem with your Internet connection.
  Toshiba support and download page is certainly not limited and can be used whenever you want.

  2.
  I ve checked the download page and found 33 results for Win7 64 bit so I assume you want to install this version of Windows.
  In any case all the stuff listed are not just pilots, but also specific tools useful to Toshiba and utilities. This tools and utilities to control some useful special features as feature special keys or the HARD disk protection.

  I recommend install you all of them and just have a total control on your machine. Of course if you don't like or don't need some of them they can be disabled or removed from the system.

  I hope that my opinion is useful for you. If you have any other questions you are welcome.

• Updates the drivers & utilities for Satellite Pro M70 (PSM75)

  How do you know if there are any updates available for the Toshiba drivers and utilities provided with my Satellite Pro M70 (PSM75), the Date of Production - January 27, 2006, and which are in the folder Toolscd (C:\ ToolsCD) on my laptop?

  Is there an update Service that recommend updates available for download?

  I checked the list of available downloads on the download page of the site of Toshiba UK ([http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK]), for the satellite Pro M70 (PSM75) and compared the version numbers of downloads, against the same drivers & Utilities version numbers in the file Toolscd (C:\) ToolsCD) on my laptop (IE in the XML TVersion files), and they are exactly the same, even for 16 drivers and utilities with a "Date last modified" on January 17, 2006 or newer (with new - August 1, 2008)

  The only real update which seems to be offered as a download, is the update of the BIOS v1.50 - WIN (in the BIOS downloads), with a 'last modified Date' of August 7, 2007, for which there is no equivalent in the Toolscd folder.

  I don't think that there is any tool, which continues to tell you that there are new updates available. For Windows, it is clear, that you can use the Windows Update feature. It has some function implemented tools can look for hardware drivers too.
  But for the rest, just keep on visiting the above mentioned page from time to time.

  In any case, if your computer works fine, you will not need any update.

• Qosmio G40 Windows XP - some drivers/utilities missing

  Dear all,

  I would be grateful if anyone can tell where I can get drivers/utilities for Windows XP for the following:
  -Flash cards (to make the combinations of work: switch between monitors, brightness, ets);
  -Shortcut keys on the keyboard {eleven buttons}.

  All the other drivers/utilities have been found/installed/proved to work correctly. XP seems to work a lot smoother and faster on this beautiful piece of hardware.

  The utility of flash cards is only available for Vista.

  I looked on the page of the Toshiba driver and, unfortunately, but I didn t see the XP drivers for the Qosmio G40 at this time.
  I assume that you've found the XP drivers some currents such as graphics card or driver sound on 3 third-party pages. But to use the features of Toshiba as button of keyboard shortcuts, you will need a XP driver and tool designed especially for this laptop.

  Looks like the drivers are not available at this time and we will have to wait until XP drivers will be sorry, but I really put t see another possibility.

  Satellite m40x-189

  RELOADED Windows XP, but did not find the Toshiba Utilities and drivers disk that had to come with the lappy, not much works and in Device Manager there are a load of devices with yellow alerts.

  The internal wireless is not predictable or is a wireless card that is inserted in the housing of PCMI extension on the side.
  These are just the first things I noticed were not available. Need wireless for internet access to register Windies.

  I don't know what drivers/utilities, I need to download and install from Toshiba download drivers web site.

  Y at - it something like a list or instructions anywhere that details what drivers/utilities are required to make all the "bits" are working on a new laptop loaded Windows. ?

  Any help would be invaluable.

  All the drivers are located on the European driver Toshiba page.
  The laptop model is mentioned on the label located on the bottom of the unit.
  Choose the right laptop and install all the drivers/tools on the page of Toshiba.

  The M40x is a bit older so search the Archives of the driver page!

  PS: you can see some details on the pilots or the tool in addition to information. He of always right!

  "To continue or not to continue the reinstallation of the Toshibas enigma -" Toshiba bluetooth stack "-on a Windows 7 Pro upgrade Vista Pro.

  After a clean install, I lost my beautiful environment of Bluetooth on my laptop Sony vgn-bx51-vn in 2005 (a laptop that is like finding teeth of chicken on the Sony site).  I did a smart thing to keep the "Toshiba" Bluetooth file when I finally removed the windows.old folder after the re-installation.  Only smart because it allowed me to compare models with a pilot of 'original' newly downloaded and files utility (including msi files) Sony - the result was that there are a lot of files that is different.

  They newly installed drivers grumble horribly subject knowing incompatabilities with Win 7 (which is just a skin on top of Vista... or so I thought) and refuse to carry you.  They subsequently take you to Toshiba where you end by abandon the search for any useful help in spite of being a good faith user - no?

  Cut to the Chase.  Can someone please help to get the drivers/utilities on my Sony notebook by hook or crook.  NB. I hope just to aspire to the use of Bluetooth for something useful someday but am also irritated by the cul-de-sac which is software policy.

• Trojan.Vundo in Toshiba\Drivers

  I think it came with Toshiba Tempro driver update from February 20.
  He has been identified by the audit of the Malewarebytes system today, but not taken my McAfee.

  The question, I would like to draw your attention to is due to the availability of the chipset drivers and graphics on the site of intel for chipset mobile 852/855 GM/GME, newer than the corresponding files available on this site, which was released at the end of 2003.

  My question is: is it mandatory to use oem provided drivers or can we use these, supposed that a pc (I have a SA-40 model) conforms to posted requirements (as is my case that I can see)?

  Why you want to be updated? You have problems?
  If everything works correctly I would not update anything!
  I read many comments here in the forum, and it seems that Toshiba recommends only a use own drivers.
  For me it of clear. If you use one another (not Toshiba) drivers and this driver does not damage anything on the card then you will lose the warranty.

  So be careful with 3rd party drivers.

• Satellite L50-A-1CU - can I use non-Toshiba drivers for Intel & Nvidia?

  I have some problems in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop using the Toshiba drivers; can I use those of Intel and Nvidia, or there is something exclusive to Toshiba?

  In general, yes you can use them. Problem is that these drivers are not supported and tested by Toshiba for you to use their own risk.
  To be honest in the past years I've heard different stories about this. Some people are happy with the best graphics performance.

  Some people are complaining on very strong and permanent machine running to cold air. Even after that initial installation of image recovery the situation is the same. I ve heard say that the values in the GPU BIOS will be changed and it is not possible to recover their origin and default settings.

  There are also reports on the switch OFF as a result overheating.

  I put t know what to say on this subject. I use my machine with the original drivers. I don t want to risk anything. Of course, with your machine, you can do what you want, then that's your decision.

  If you install them please be so kind and send us comments. It can be very useful for other owners of laptops.

  does anyone know if the drivers of Toshiba (value added Package, utilities, HWSetup) are available for all users of Windows 7 and not only for the user who installed the drivers. I configured both users on the laptop and the second user has no record of program with the Toshiba Utilities.

• Tecra M7: Upgrading to Vista SP1 of XP - what drivers/utilities to use?

  I'm installing from a DVD of MS Vista with SP1 included. Then, direct upgrade to Vista SP1. Vista is in and everything seems to work fine, except the screen rotation and probably a few specific applications, I've not yet tried.

  Toshiba offers a set of drivers and utilities for upgrades from Vista. Some of them are for 2006 and 2007.

  I think that if everything works well, why rock the boat?

  So I'm looking to install only the drivers and utilities that Vista does not already cover. Minimum play.

  Has anyone tried this before? Any informed guesses?

  I agree with you that I would install only the drivers that are really needed.

  In my opinion, you need:
  Display driver
  Flash Media Driver
  Audio driver
  Touch Pad Driver
  Value Added Package
  LAN and WLan driver

  In my opinion, these applications are recommended
  Other software like driver Config Free, Bluetooth, Fingerprint Software, etc. are not neccessry for me because I don't use it every day or every time

  Is it better to use the drivers supplied by toshiba (nvidia, synaptics,...) or should I install it from the official hardware manufacturer as they have newer drivers than the toshiba site.

  Generally the drivers of Toshiba page should be used because these drivers are tested by Toshiba.
  For example, the Toshiba display driver supports some kind of overheating protection and reduce clock down the GPU so the temperature would be too high in this case the performance for a short period, but that would lower the temperature as far as I know, that don t chip manufacturers drivers are supported by this feature
  So the use of these drivers is at your own risk

  However, you can install drivers page maker Synaptics. There is no risk.

  It works fine for me. I use a version of XP 64-bit in combination with the adapter Toshiba USB Bluetooth v1.2.

  I have a Qosmio G30-126 with Vista Ultimate.

  Whenever I try to download the new drivers from Toshiba Europe site, the connection is broken.

  The result is an incomplete ZIP file that is unusable. If I use download accelerators, the file seems to download completely butstill is unusable (failed CRC check) the same error with incomplete downloads.
  I can only managed to download small files of site of Toshiba, and only after some several trials. They do not have at the first trial.

  I tried IE7 and firefox without success. I used DownloadAccelerator most, but it's even worse.

  Does anyone have any sugestion or solution?

  Look I use the IE6.
  I think you should try to download it again and check your operating system, Web browser and internet settings!
