_DVD machine: _
Toshiba DVR20 DVD and VCR recorder Combi TNT
_Type of DVD: _
Non-printable DVD-R blank disc
_Problem: _
DVD plays fine on a DVD but be blank DVDs on computer. Advice please.
Hey Buddy,
I googled for Toshiba DVR20 TNT device because it did not for me.
It seems that this recorder to support DVD-R/RW drives and DVD + R/RW for recording.
I recommend you test different brand disks supplied by different manufacturers.
It s also a good idea to clean the lens of the laser.
You can use a special lens cleaner kit. This kit cleanser little expensive which will brush the lens clean. They are available online and in stores that sell some electronics

Summer trying to copy a game on a dvd, but my pc does not recognize. Can not put on a blank cd as it is over 700 MB. I tried the DVD-R and DVD + r but none work?
You cannot copy a game disc without buying some sort of software to save your game disc. In any case, it is illegal to do so another that, as I said... Back up your collection of game discs.

At 60: DVD writer does not write on DVD
Hello.
I have a toshiba dvd - rom sd-r6112 A60.
It reads CDs and DVDs perfectly also burns CD.Problem:
When you try to burn iso image dvd with either (nero, recordnow, alcohol, etc), the percentage indicator has reached 100% and says burn has been successful. But the dvd is still blank. It seems that nothing has changed. Trying to verify burned data will fail because nothing on the dvd set. (not done im test mode :-)Please help me.
[Edited by: admin August 7 05 16:20]
Hi witne
First of all I think that it is not recommended to use multiple burning applications because it is possible that some of them are getting in the other. Try to use one of them. I always use Nero burning software and I had no problem at all.
If you use burning software Nero, I see possible two reasons for your question:
1. you must enable high compatibility mode that allows you to burn data and small then 1 GB
2. check the option called simultaneous. It must be disabled and enable the option just burningIf these options don't help t, please write again.
Good bye

Satellite P25-S520 - DVD player does not work properly
Difficulty of DVD player or buy the external drive
My DVD player does not work properly, in fact it can never work properly. Recently, I tried to back up my PC on a DVD using Norton 360. Norton did not recognize that the DVD was present. Then I tried to write a text file on a DVD and was a failure. DVD + R and DVD-R media were found to be (Maxwell 16 X).
I could have probably lived with this however, I received a copy of Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 10 on a CD and my Toshiba would not recognize it. I tried the CD in my laptop nearby and it was recognized.
An attempt to update the driver has also fails.
I was able to copy a CD of music last night so that at least works properly.
Does anyone know how can I fix? The important part is to be able to load my new program.
Research on some forums I found that other people have had problems with the Pioneer drive. If the drive can't be fixed, I'm not adverse to buying an external DVD drive. Unfortunately, where I live there is no brick and mortar stores selling external drives and I prefer to avoid the hassle of getting a drive online and discovering that it does not work with my Toshiba. Can someone suggest an external USB drive that will read and write CD and DVD and is certain to be compatible with my Toshiba?
Thanks for any help,

PIONEER DVD - RW DVR-K12D
Driver provider: Microsoft
Driver date: 01/07/2001
Driver version: 5.1.2535.0
Digital signer: Microsoft Windows PublisherAny external USB CD/DVD drive will be compatible with your laptop.
However, you won't be able to boot from CD (run recovery for example) If you are using an external drive.
So, your best option would be to replace the internal drive with a Toshiba drive designed for the laptop. Call an ASP and request a quote.

CD/DVD drive reads but does not write.
I run XP multimedia.
When the optical drive no longer works, I ran malware controls, then Mats_Run.dvd.exe.
"I had to choose and choose fix' reading discs ' which it did.
"" Write function did not work so I ran /Mats_Run.dvd.exe again with the ' writing difficulty ' option.
Still, it reads but does not write.
I installed an external burner and repeated the above; same result.
When I boot with Vista, the two burners work perfectly.

Satellite Pro M10 - infrared does not work properly
Hello
I have a Satellite Pro M10 and my infrared does not work. I downloaded the zip file with the drivers from this site. Then, I uninstalled and reinstalled, but it always happens in the Device Manager under "unknown - SMC IrCC - Fast Port infrared (IR Module: HP). (with an exclamation point). When I look at the properties it says under device status:
This device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.
However, under Driver Details is said:
C:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\smcirda.sysI extracted the zip file in my home directory of c:\downloads\infrared.
whatever I do, it does not now. It worked when I bought it, but I have too many things on the system for a new installation. Which brings me to another question. Is it possible to re - install windows without losing all your data, etc.? I did it with other systems (95,98) Windows. But it seems that the Toshiba recovery disc means any wiping. Thanks in advance for any help.
ChrisHello
If your HARD disk contains two partitions and you have saved the data on a second you can reinstall the operating system on the first partition using recovery DVDs.

Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have. Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Satellite L775 - mouse pad does not work properly
I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L775. I run Win 7 Home Premium. My mouse pad does not work properly. I also have a Logitech Anywhere MX wireless mouse. I tried the mouse pad to work properly with the key FN and F9, but it does not work. And you really have no idea if that turns or out of the mousepad anyway, subj for another time I guess.
What does not work, but I have to do is to go to Control Panel then mouse option load that and just scroll the tabs without changing what each time and then close and the touch pad works. But only for this session. If I have my laptop nearby, or turn it off, I have to start throughout the whole process.
What's past and how to fix this?
Thank you very much.
