  • Problem with desktop icons - odd images appearing

    Hello

I recently acquired a laptop Asus N61Vg which of course came with a Windows 7 Home Premium OEM. After using for most laptops and Windows 7 settings, and after I got rid of the bloatware, I started to do some graphics cards and performance tests. While I was measuring a few FPS in Left 4 Dead (not a fan of the game, I just wanted to test the graphics card, an Nvidia 220 M), the game froze and I had to close it with the "end task".

Subsequently, some of the desktop icons (some of them from the former programs) are displayed inside a frame, a very annoying. I tried fiddling with the usual settings and reinstall the graphics card driver. I even deleted the Cache icon (from my AppData folder) but the problem persists.

Since I only used the system for a few days, I can imagine there is a registry entry that I've screwed to the top or a setting that I modified. So it is either very simple and puts me in a bad light or whole enough to annoy me. Any suggestions?

    Fixed!

The problem is that most of the icons can only watch smoothly on a "small icons" view. I used the medium-sized icons. The game changed some of my settings, and resizing is affected. After some time switching between small - medium - large icons and reorganization, the problem went away, even after rebooting. I can't be sure, it will not resurface once again, but at least I can get rid of it if she didn't.

In short: RMB-> view-> small icons. RMB-> view-> medium-sized icons. Reorganize, restart. The effect may still appear then do this a few times, eventually passing through large icons as well.

    Hello

It is not easy to say. It is up to you.
Toshiba design many different notebooks. Each cell has advantages and disadvantages.
For example, the Qosmio are very powerful laptops, but units are not mobile due to the size.

I think you should check the Toshiba page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/JSP/home.do?service=EU&from=http%3A//www.Toshiba-Europe.com/

Under the section "Products" - "Books", you will find the newer units.
In my view the most recent 100 Satellite series shows really nice. But the Tecra is also not bad. You know it's hard to say which is better. Check yourself and maybe you will find you "darling" ;)

  • Key icons no longer appear on the taskbar

Key icons, as power Source / battery capacity, the volume and amount of data read for a dowload of Outlook e-mail suddenly stopped appearing in my taskbar.

Sign says they are set to display, and I tried turning them OFF (they do not appear) and turn it back on, and they do not always appear.

At the same time stupid icons, like the phone symbol for Internet Dial Up (which I NEVER use) began to appear in their place.

Most worrying is the remaining capacity of the battery, that I use often my laptop to a power source.

I use a fully updated Windows XP Pro on a Fujitsu Amilo Pro laptop.

  • Duplication of 'My Computer' - computer desktop icons Windows 7

Using Windows 7 x 64.  Have onscreen 'My Computer' on the desktop.  Create a temporary folder on C: and copy the files in this folder on the network.  The 'My Computer' icon will duplicate it several times during the copy.  To get rid of them, uncheck the 'My Computer' icon in personailization settings and double check.  Now back to an icon.  Anyone know why this icon duplicates?

I have thought of it myself.  After more net research, found in the same issue (but not exact) due to the use of a Windows "tweaking" program.  I had another program installed but providing the same features "tweaking".  I uninstalled this program, and made a copy test.  Icon did not multiply.

    Thanks for your reply.

  • After Firefox updated itself, extension icons no longer appear

Firefox itself upgrade 17.0.1 and toolbars disappeared. The icons for the Noscript & Fireshot does not appear, or that they are in the menu system, even if they appear in the add-on Manager. If they are not compatible, how can I go back to the previous version of Firefox?

Yes, it works. I soon to do this because I did not know how many parameters I would lose. But it did the trick.

  • When Web site icons no longer appear in front of the bookmark site names how can we get them to show again?

Used icons that correspond to the names, websites that I have bookmarked, displayed in front of their name, and whenever "Bookmarks" the user has clicked on it was easy to find the site I wanted to visit. Since the upgrade to the current version of Firefox, the icons have disappeared from where they have already appeared, and all that remains are the names of Web sites, all displayed without all the icons in the line-up. Occasionally one or two f icons appear for a short time before a Web site name, but mostly they are completely absent. What happens if everything can be done on reapplying the icons permanently, once again?

  • Desktop icons do not appear on the desktop, and programs in the task bar screens are too small to read, what now?

It's very frustrating to see the program I want to open the office toolbar but when I click it, the window opens so small I can't read and only shows when I hover over the icon in the toolbar.  Help please, what I do?

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing.

To create a shortcut on the desktop, follow these steps and check:

    (a) access the program, file, or folder that you want a shortcut to.
    (b) make a right click on the item you want the shortcut and select "send to", then
    "Desktop (create shortcut)".

I suggest you for the link and check if that helps:
