Toshiba NB550D sim under the battery slot?

What is the location of "SIM" under the battery for? I don't think that the NB550D had 3G? When I installed the drivers 3G it says hardware not found.

Post here the exact model name and model number in order to check the specs and see whether or not the 3 G module is inside.

I tried to put a SIM card, but it does not belong. It is directly "swollowed.
So my laptop does support 3 G SIM? If so, how could I put?
    Concerning

    Hello

No, the Satellite L505-h-13 doesn't support 3G module.

I guess as some models of the Satellite L500 / L505 series was equipped with the 3G module.
The fact is that the same bottom cover has been used in the entire series L500 and is why there is a slot for SIM under the battery.

  • What is the slot under the battery

Just got my new T400 yesterday and was very excited about it.

have a question here.  I noticed a place where the mental battery seven pines touch laptop, in virtue of this place, there is a small plastic film with a similar size to a micro-sd card card. He's also a figure resembles a card SD (rectangle with a corner cut). If I pull the plastic film, the card can also be removed, but the film remains in.

I don't find it anywhere in the manual. What is this site supposed to do? I guess that is not the SD card reader, because it's on the left side of the laptop, not hide under the battery does.

    Thank you.

I think that it is the location for SIM card for the machine with system WWAN. If you do not have the WWAN, it's just a dummy slot that does nothing.

  • Satellite L500D - what type of housing is under the battery?

I found a place (I think it's the memory) under the battery in my satellite L500D. What type of housing is it? (It looks like a MicroSD card, but sign says: this is the crack of WIS - I searched but I did find what this means)

It works in my laptop, or is it for other models?

    Hello

Memory locations are placed near the Bay of dough.
But the slots are not placed under the battery.
It would be interesting to see the location on the image.

As far as I know that the laptop does not support 3G so I n t think that there is a slot for a card 3G.

Of course, the laptop supports a Bridge Media slot that handles the card SD, SDHC Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, MultiMediaCard, but this machine in under is placed on the in front of the laptop.

  • Ubuntu 10.04 Toshiba NB550D Bluetooth and the microphone does not

I use Ubuntu 10.04 on Toshiba NB550D. I like it. I've updated to 4 GB of RAM so... 1 GB seemed crazy to me... and I am a user of power... but not a gamer. The laptop has replaced my work computer. I have plug into my 24 "LCD at work and get beautiful HD resolutions.

My only frustration at this stage is that the microphone and bluetooth both do not seem to work. Until someone told me that Toshiba does not support linux on this hardware... I know. However, someone at - it this work themselves? I'd love to hear about your experience.

    THX,

    Fenton

    Hi Fenton

With regard to the Bluetooth - I think the NB550D uses a list drop-down-card Atheros WLAN and Bluetooth. Am I wrong?
If so, there seems to be general problem getting the BT works correctly, wireless works well however.
I filed a bug on Fedora Bugzilla regarding this problem on a R830 - uses the same module I think.
    Link: [https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734369]

Concerning firstly the mic - basics:

-did you check the audio input settings and increase the logging level?
-have you tried an external mic? You can for testing purposes use a headset / headphones as a microphone as they work exactly the same. You may have to shout to get any input however :)

If the external mic works you can try to start the machine on 11.04 or maybe even a pre-release version of 11.10.
This is to see if the MIC - the problem is resolved.
If so, I think that a few searches on Google will provide you with a solution!

In any case, let us know your findings, so we can help you.

    See you soon

  • BT connection between non-Toshiba devices but use the battery Toshiba BT

SONY HWS-BTA2W to EDIMAX EB - DGC1 BT adapter with A2DP

I have a SONY HWS-BTA2W attached to my stereo, which allows me to pass, using a Dongle of EDIMAX EB-DGC1, from my pc which is running XPsp2.
As recommended, I downloaded the new EDIMAX software for the device (EB - DGCx_x86_5_10_02.zip, with v5.10.02 of BT stack), and I use this software because it doesnâ? t present me with the problem of 30 days I would have if I used Toshiba BT Stack worm 5.10.12 (T). I tried already the last stack of Toshiba BT, but it took again now that I have determined that it doesn't? t solve my problem, namely:

SONY HWS-BTA2W will receive EDIMAX EB-DGC1, but not pass; When I try to pair that with SONY HWS-BTA2W both switched to transmit, the new EDIMAX EB-DGC1 software is unable to identify a service to use. I had no problem when using SONY HWS-BTA2W receive, even with the original software.

My knowledge is that both devices are compatible A2DP Protocol and, as such, bridge Audio input/output. I am new to Bluetooth so I can miss something very obvious, but the only advice I can get from the manufacturer, or Toshiba, is that I shouldn't have this problem. Anyone can help, or share any has similar problems? I hope that with the solution?

    Thank you.

Can't tell you exactly who is your problem but you can point to some likely causes:

    -try to lower the level of security of Bluetooth low (this could block the incoming connection);
    -If you can not pair as you have said, try to manually select the port BT to use;

I hope that one of those that will work!
    See you soon!

  • Card slot SIM on the G1 to 820/840 EliteBook

    Hey there!

This is my first post here, so bear with me

We recently swapped our EliteBook 8470 p and 2170p who had his slot for sim card behind the battery for use with add-on unit high mobile flow (at least if I remember correctly for the p 2170).

But now, on the G1 820 and 840 I am unable to find it. There should not be somewhere? I mean, otherwise, how will my customers use add-on unit high mobile broadband?

    Thank you.

We found it with the eyes of a couple of my colleagues. I've attached a screenshot of the slot for SIM on the 820. Maybe this will help others

It's under the battery on these patterns as well, but with a barely visible marking SIM.

  • Use of the battery is displayed

For some reason any my battery usage ceased to show.

Under the battery is said only: "battery information will be available after using the phone for a few minutes.

I used the phone and still nothing.

I tried reboot etc and still does not.

For some reason any after recharge and leave it all day, it fixed itself. Weird cause I have not had this before, but anyway it works fine now.

  • Does not power spectrum HP ENVY Ultrabook 13-2057nr of the battery (at the level of 93% charge)

    Greeting,

I have an unusual problem with my HP ENVY spectrum XT Ultrabook 13-2057nr.

I bought this recently used computer.  The battery seems to be dead, so I replaced it with a new battery, which seems to be charge (to 93%).

However, the computer will usually not market unless the AC adapter is plugged in.

As a general rule, the laptop will not be under voltage battery (charged to 93%).  It will work normally if connected to the power adapter.

From time to time, if the computer has been loading for 15 minutes or more, it will be under the battery voltage. However, if it is off, it will be only re-power-on if connected to the adapter.

If someone had a similar problem or have thoughts?

    Thanks - Ric

    Hello Rico88,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that the battery does not load to 100% and has a strange behavior. To start, please try test and calibrate the battery. You should be able to know if the battery has problems.

If the battery seems to be good, you can try to improve the performance of your battery.  For more information about improving the performance of the battery, please consult the following document: improve the performance of the battery (8 Windows 7, Vista).

If none of this helps, you can try purchasing a spare battery if the computer is not in the warranty. If this is the case, you should be able to get a replacement in the HP support by phone. You can use this Web site for information about how to contact HP properly, based on your region: Contact HP worldwide

  • Satellite R 630 - BatteryBar Pro shows my wear and tear on the battery under the name more 14%

    Hello

My R630 is only a few months old, but in BatteryBar Pro, it's showing my wear of the battery under the names of over 14%.

What is classified as wear unacceptable battery to get a Toshiba replacement battery and how is the best way to exercise oversight?

    Thank you

    Matt

    Hello

To be honest I n know this software, but in my experience such tools are not always correct. I have what to say is that no one knows whether the values supplied are true or not to my knowledge there is no actual parameter which could provide such battery information
It would be really interesting to know the values provided from other similar tools and compare this

However the battery is part of consumables for laptop. Sooner or later each battery die it s just a matter of time
As far as I know each battery (regardless of which manufacturer it is) is covered by the warranty for a year. So if the battery would die in the first year, then you can get it replaced free of charge.

  • Tecra S3 - how long the battery still works under normal conditions of use?

I have Tecra S3, I know the duration of battery power under normal conditions of use. It does not work for more than 80 80. It is still new to laptop.

    Hello

AFAIK the Tecra S3 has been delivered with the battery 4700mAh standard.
The Tecra S3 also supports other high capacity batteries. For example:

    PA3509U-1BRM 9-cell Li-ion 7050mAh
    PA3357U-3BRL 12Cell Li - ion 8800mAh

These batteries are much stronger than the standard battery and should works more than 80 min.
Additional if you think that there is something wrong with your battery life then I would recommend contacting the Toshiba service partner for the control of that party. But like I said above; These large capacity batteries are working longer than the standard battery.

  • iPhone drains the battery faster under 9.3.1 - possible?

Is it just me or drain the battery faster under 9.3.1 on my iPhone 6?

It feels as if 'normal' use I make of the phone takes less time... In particular, sit and do nothing as during night.  The only thing that I have changed a few months back, it's turning off BT, I lost my helmet, but it was before 9.3.1. Its not horrible, it just feels like it lasts less time...

Everyone with an iPhone 6 (64 GB in my case) who suffers?

As you can see this pictures shows different readers. On this point, you can choose which device should be used as first boot device.
When you start your laptop and when these symbols appear to press the right arrow several times (the red line of the brand will be moved to the right) and you will see how you can choose the right device.

When the device is marked just press the ENTER button.

  • Toshiba excites Pro AT10LE-A-108 the battery

    Hey everybody,

first of all, I got a Toshiba chance excites AT10LE-A-108 Pro in a common store in Germany.
Everything was good except the battery won't charge.

He always showed 0% after plugging the cable it immediaetly turned off and would not turn on without the cable connected.

Then I got a brand new Toshiba excites Pro AT10LE-A-108.
I did all the updates, while I was already wondering because the batterystatus switches always between 0% and "full."

After several hours, I plugged the power cable and the same story the Tablet immeadetly turned off. Yet once, wouldn't turn on without the power cable plugged in:)

Now its all yours :) It is just bad luck, or is this a common problem?

What I have to change something in the settings?
I don't know and I'm not going back again via post :(

    Best regards, Tom

    Hi Tom

I don t think that it is a case of some incorrect settings.
To me, it seems that the battery does not charge and from my point of view it s a hardware problem of battery.

I think you have two options for a fix: you can try to get another new AT10LE-A feature from a dealer or you can contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country for a fix.

On Toshiba supports support ASP page, you can find the service partner in your country in the region.
