  Dear users of Toshiba,

  I bought a "new" Toshiba Satellite A60 4 days ago.
  and I brought in the Ireland. It worked fine for 2 days and after that the computer on standby modus. Once the adapter has been designed, it no longer meets the key power button or any other button.
  Only 2 leds were on fire, one adapter has been put in and the battery led. If anyone has / had this problem or knows what to do, please help.

  I am happy to say that I have solved the problem. I read on the forum that may be useful to remove the battery and put back in. And miraculusly it worked. So if there are more people with this problem please try there first.

  The RTC (BIOS) battery can be charged if you leave the laptop connected to the AC adapter. This support also the RTC battery.

Any help would be appreciated.

  The following article should be useful. To use system recovery options, you have Vista installation disc. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) repeatedly will install on the computer Windows recovery environment. To cross check if it is installed, try the following steps.

  1 start the computer and press the F8 key continuously to get advanced boot menu options.
  2. on the menu advanced startup options, check if the Startup Repair tool is in the list.
  3. If so, select it and press ENTER.
  4. If not, then you should organize a Vista installation disc.

• Satellite M645 - problem with files from Ipod

  I recently had two other notebooks die on me so why I got a brand new Toshiba Satellite M645.
  I have two ipods with music on them from one of the computers.
  When we follow the ways to transfer music on my new computer that I will meet different problems with each of them.

  The first problem is on my video Ipod.
  After clicking on the hidden folders and etc when I find the music file, it shows the files for everything except music.

  On the other hand; I have an iPhone and the management of the files it s similar iPod.

  I don't think that someone here can help you with this problem. You will be very happy if someone on this forum has exactly the same model of laptop including same USB modem.

  In my opinion, you have two options: either you can clarify this point with the support of Alcatel (they have enough experience with own products) or with people from the nearest Toshiba service provider service.

  Have you tried to test the features with the Win7 32-bit version?

  If I understand you right you can see when laptop starts and you see Toshiba welcome screen. Is this good?
  When you enter the BIOS settings you see thise lines too?

  Later, when you see the desktop on the external monitor, you can use the FN + F5 key combination to switch between an LCD and external monitor. Please try to use it and post comments if it works or not.

  It is not easy to say why this is happening. In your last post, you wrote about some updates of windows. Who knows what's wrong there.
  If nothing is done, not even system restore and you want to use the standby mode I recommend you save all your data and install the new OS by using recovery mode.

  With the settings everything's going to be OK but then be careful with updates.
