Toshiba TL968G + questions Skype Talk-7291

Hello

Recently, I bought the Talk-7291 to use functionality of Skype.

The first time I plugged the camera, it seemed that everything worked very well, since I've decided to make my first call. Then the screen turned black and the camera has been disabled (led blue light was turned off).
The TV does not answer, the only button I could use was the power button.

Since then, whenever I started Skype app TV turned to black.
I tried to reset the TV and the result is always the same.

-J' found a way to use once, and had to set up Skype without the camera and Skype starts when the TV turns on.
-Turn off the TV and plug in the camera.
-Turn on the TV. After a minute or two the camera goes on (led lights) and the session is started.
-I can receive calls but I can not send. I was able to answer one and talk. Now I can answer, but after 3 s the Skype TV breaks down.

Has anyone else bought the Talk-7291 and tested how Skype works?

Firmware: I have the latest firmware installed (7.0.28.16.1)

See you soon,.

Josep

Hello

I have the same problem with a RL938G with FW to. 7.0.28.16.1 and camera TALK-7291.
Skype does not even TV set is blocked after the TV is black.

It seems that it is a generic question. We will wait for the manufacturer to solve this problem with a FW update

    Hello

I recently bought the TV LED 50L2456DG (no need of smart tv features!) But I have a few questions.
    1. impossible to pass again firmware... Followed the instructions but without success. Formatted a usb flash drive (not Fat32) FAT according to the instructions. Coppied the file right .bin (50L2456.bin) chose the upgrade from usb, but nothing happens. The TV turns works again without any upgrade. Used 4 different USB flash drives with the same result.
    2. the media player is terrible... MKV files have no sound and Greek submarines are not displayed correctly (the cheaper model of 48L1433DG has no such problems)... The navigation arrows do not jump forward or backwards (like an old 32 '' tv I who has a way better menu and drive multimedia support and is s 5 years TV toshiba) and makes it very inconvenient to use.
3 picture mode (wide native, etc.) must be selected each time I have change the setting and does not it whenever I turn on the TV turned off and every time I change the channel.

    Hello

    1. what SW version is running on your game?

3 have you tried Menu Application / Auto Format = WE already? It will detect 16:9 flag and automatically switch to this format when it is reported by the current program. Screen format by default (if no indicator 16:9 is detected) is that you select in the menu "format of the image.

  • Toshiba 40L5435DG - question of Smart tv

    Hello

My new Toshiba 40L5435DG smart tv mode is not working properly - even of the YouTube app were very lagg. In addition. other VOD applications don't load movies and causing accidents of television and must be restarted.

Reset to the factory settings does not resolve the problem.

    Firmware V.3.3.6y
    V.2.1.1d Smart app

    Is there a solution?

On this page you can find all the updates of firmware that are available for download.
If your model is not listed it is there no firmware update available for download.
    http://www.DL.Toshiba.com/dly/index.jsp?region=GB&lang=en

But in case new firmware is available for your TV set, you should be able to update the connection from the TV to the internet software. Also on this update notification should appear on television

Anyway, I read in another thread on some issues of Smart service in the past, and for most questions related to maintenance and modification service server.
I think so that this issue isn't associated with your TV set.

  • Adapter Toshiba HDD2A30 - Question

Hello everyone. Unfortunately for me, my 2005 Toshiba Vaio beat permanently. I've had this laptop for purposes of backup only, so I'm not quite sad. I know that the 2.5 HD work and I wanted to pick it up and connect it to a desktop PC. A few friends and a quick search on the net said an adapter to connect the HD IDE 2,5 inches to an IDE cable 40 pins. But HDD2A30/MK2035GSS from Toshiba does not have a 44-pin IDE male housing. Is anyway I can connect the HD to a PC?

You can see a picture of the hard drive from Toshiba here:

best solution for you is to use USB 2.0 2.5 "SATA HDD hard drive External box Box. Using this box, you can connect this laptop desk, computer HARD drive, receiver satellite or DVD/Blu-Ray players and have full access to all data.

I use the same box with 500 GB SATA HARD drive.

    Hello

    I'm from Malta.

  • Toshiba TL968G - three television channels goes away after a while

    Hello

    I have a problem with my TL 968 G.

Last week, he deleted my last three television channels in my channellist by itself.
I thought that it is a problem wit the TV channels, but after a new search, they are back, so that they are still on the air.
I recreate my channellist with ToshibaEdit. The channels are back.

A few days later, they left again.
Always the same three channels have been removed, the 'three in my list of channels.
I have only 23 Channels programmed, then "too channles" could not be the problem.
I searched for software update for my TV, but its not available.

Now, the channesl are deleted 30 seconds after I recreated the list strings with ToshibaEdit.
I change channels, all three Channels are in 30 sec later they're gone...

    Everyone knows the problem?
    Any solution for this?

    Thank you

    Hello

Try to reset the default TV and do a full scan channel.
Then try to order strings directly in the TV Setup menu.

By the way: Here you can find detailed instructions for the use of the channel list TV ToshibaEdit editing software for PC

  • Toshiba 50L7335D - question about clouding and backlight

    Hello everyone,

I read a few posts on the lighting and effects of clouding, but I was
don't over to find a satisfactory answer. My 50L7335D Smart TV presents a remarkable
and disappointing backlight in the top middle of the screen that is visible when the
the screen is dark. I know it is a problem with the lcd technology, but I hope y
    is a solution

    Thanks to you all

On my TV, I noticed that the LCD is a little more clear on the four corners, but it's not so bad.
I think that there is nothing we can do about it.

All we can do is to install firmware, but this has nothing to do with this issue.

  • Toshiba 46TL968 Question on registration - watch HDMI while recording

    Hello

Is it possible to watch another signal via HDMI (or SCART) while the TV is recording DVB-s?

Is it possible to record without TV screen is turned on?

    THX in advance,
    Harry

    46TL968

    Hello

AFAIK you cannot switch to another channel while recording USB or tuner using the DVB-S internal tuner.
This is not possible and will not be allowed by the system software.

In case you want to watch/switch to another channel, you can use an external DVB-S tuner.

    > Is it possible to record without TV screen is turned on?
I think that this should be possible

  • Re: Question to Skype

Help, please. I have subscribed to skpye on my laptop and I try to make a call. I plugged in a headset with a microphone (the one you use on a cell phone).

I can hear the person I called, but can't talk about them. What I am doing wrong?

Please don t get me wrong, but your question has nothing to do with Toshiba and questions such the best place to get the right answer is Skype forum > http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showforum=2

Anyway, I tested the features of Skype on a lot of laptops different, and it works perfectly, especially if you use the standard helmet designed for PC / laptops.
    What you're doing wrong?
I can't say for sure, but I think you are using wrong helmet. It is probably designed for some phone.
Get the standard helmet and everything will work OK.

  • Hard drive replacement and warranty question Portege and Tecra models

    Good afternoon

I'm hoping for a little clarity if a laptop warranty is invalidated if the hard drive is replaced for another title of model/difference. The company that I work buys models Tecra and Portege for these last years, if we decide to buy more large hard disks and get our IT Department install them will be that gap in the agreement of guarantee with Toshiba?

I talked to Toshiba and they were a little gray in their response. They said that, if you didn't damage the laptop, it should be fine, but if you send it as an unrelated question, with what they can carry out repairs on the laptop if the hard drive does not match the orgional one provided...

Can somone if this is the case? It seems ridiculous that you would not be able to replace the drive even if bought from an official and used dealer in a corporate environment.

    Kind regards

    Jonsey

As much as I know RAM and HDD upgrade do not negate the warranty. For many models of laptops, you can find instruction how to do this. It is described in the document of the user s manual or you can find short videos on Toshiba documents (knowledge base).

Even on this forum in the USER SELF REPLACEMENT section you will find instructions how to replace the hard drives.

What you can also do is to contact the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider and check what they say on this subject.

  • Profile pictures can be deleted hosts/Microsoft/Skype servers?

Why users cannot delete their profile picture? An image can be added or changed, but that's all. My question is... what happens to the original image, after that it has been replaced by a new image? Skype reserves the right to the image I download and save on their servers? I bet a long reading of their terms of use would provide me with an answer.

But for now, let's say that I take a picture of myself for my profile, then I decide I don't want the image available for anyone to see. By "anyone", I mean the Skype contacts and public Skype users, as long as Skype employees, would-be hackers or authorized agents of the Government. Keep in mind this image was designated initially as visible to 'contacts' and not made 'public', so I didn't put the image into the public domain where I don't have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Skype should reserve its users the option to remove this image from their account and their servers.

Or, if the addition of a new profile instead of the old photo effectively erases the old photo, then please ignore my entire argument here.

However, my hunch is that the old photo is chosen since no where does Skype talks to remove profile photos in their FAQ on photos of profile and privacy. Since Skype does not pronounce on this subject, I must assume that they retain the original image indeed.

My main concern here, it's not an agent pirate or the Government can get their hands on my profile picture, as I am not a criminal or wanted terrorist lunatic on the run from the Government, rather, it's more a question of morality. Too many software companies are obnoxiously lies when it comes to their software, capabilities, and what this company doing with personal and private information. Skype and Microsoft are not different.

All we have is your Word. I hope it's true.

Specifically, why not just include a feature of 'delete profile image '. This seems to make a lot more sense to me and others out there who have a problem with the absence of such a feature. Looks like it should be a simple enough feature to understand.
