10 iOS Ios 9 backup

I recently backed up my device ios 10 beta and restored then to the latest ios version 9 for some reason, I can't restore the backup as it appears only in the preferences > devices. The backup then presented later as unknown you try to restore the device, I get an error saying that there is no data in the backup. Is it because of a corrupt info.plist file?

Have you tried following the instructions on the Beta site? Http://beta.apple.com. Try once more and see if something happens. Log on to the beta program of apple software and click on the link "unsubscribe". This backup is a backup iOS 10 so it may not be available in iOS 9.3.4.

  • iPhone restore backup encryption bug in iTunes

First the details of my system:

    El Capitan 10.11.6

    iPhone iOS 6 10.0.2

    iTunes 12.5.1.21

    Steps to reproduce:

1 backup the by using the encrypted password (current running iOS 10) iPhone

    2. once the backup is complete change password encrypted from A to B

    3. restore the iPhone using the backup.

The backup cannot be restored with A password or password B.

I think that most people would say I forgot the password B. You would be a mistake. Password B was stored in my keychain and it wouldn't work. To check that I had the correct password, I downloaded a password free utility cracking. For some reason, these utilities are available for Windows only. I used the utility of tenorshare. Since I was sure I knew the password, I used boxes of prefix and suffix of the utility to verify that the password is correct. The utility shows you only the first 2 characters of your password once he finds her. Since I am sure that I knew the password, I put the first 7 characters of the password in the prefix box password and he assumes that the last of them (which I knew that). Then I put the first 6 characters of the password in the prefix area of password and the last character in the zone suffix and guess the second to the last character (which I knew that too). In both cases, he finds the password, which confirmed that all my characters were correct, but iTunes would not accept. At this point, I was convinced this is an Apple bug, so I googled some more and found this blog https://deciphertools.com/blog/ios-10-backup-password-incorrect/ which confirms:

"If you recently changed your password backup in iTunes, and iTunes is now reports that 'the password was incorrect' when you try to restore this backup, then we may be able to help."

There is a small problem affecting backups iOS 10 - sometimes changing password causes backup the password being rejected (both new and old passwords) when you try to use the backup that you did. »

I was able to solve my problem of password associated with the procedure.

My backup was too important to wait for a solution possible iTunes. Apple should recognize this problem and have a fix as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Hi there DacCoopsta,

I understand that you encounter some difficulties to locate the backup that you created before you erase your device. I would be happy to provide a few tips to help!

If you don't see any backups to restore from iCloud, make sure you use the good Apple ID to your iCloud account. Take a look at this site that goes on the way to locate the iOS device backups:

Don't forget that your backup could be located in iTunes or iCloud. Once you have found your backup, you can use the steps in the article below to restore from your backup:

  • Deletion of a previous backup

    Hello

Today, I replaced my old iPhone with a new iPhone.  The two are the exact same phone, an iPhone 6 + iOS 9.3, the latest version of the software running.  When I implemented the new phone, I used the backup from my old phone to restore all of my apps, photos, etc.  It worked well.  Now, however, the backup to iCloud gives me problems.  Ideally, I want a backup stored in iCloud, and I want this backup to my new iPhone.  However, I can't back up and save my backup on my new phone.  Whenever I click 'Back Up Now', the bar does not move and the phone will not backup.  Also, I am trying to remove the old backup, because it is no use for me and is just too much room.  Any suggestions?

  • Which provides a backup more complete? iCloud or to your computer via iTunes?

I heard a backup of the ios device, backup of critical data on your ipad and iphone, but that a backup of your computer is more thorough and complete. can anyone corroberate who, if etther, t is the best make sure backup our data?

If you use iTunes and perform an encrypted backup, it backs up past app, app health data and other sensitive personal data, which are not part an iCloud or an unencrypted iTunes backup.

  • I've never done a Time Machine backup and I have upgraded to iOS Sierra. Help!

I'm a fool. After owning my Macbook for 5 years, I failed to make a single Time Machine backup. I just saved my essential to an external hard drive. I have upgraded to iOS Sierra. Big mistake. I want to go back to iOS Capitan, but it does not seem possible. Now, my external hard drive is wiped clean (things are dark). What are my options? If I'm stuck with Sierra?

If you have downloaded El Capitan, it should always be available in your purchases. Now, you will need to make a backup to backup your personal files.

  • icloud iOS backup grows every day

    Hi all

I have an iPhone 7 (and with my iPhone 6s was the same) and iOS 10 (once again, with iOS 9 was the same)

When I do a backup in iCloud without a previous, I choose what I want to backup and that means about 800 MB of my 5 GB.

But every night when this backup copy of the automatic increases to 200 MB, more or less, until it reaches 1, 6 GB. And I have nothing new in my phone.

In fact if I look at how Mo will be the next copy, it saids 800 MB.

    Anyone having this problem?

    Thank you

    Manolo.

I was not aware, we could 'choose what I want to save' from a backup.

Have you spent at iCloud.com > settings > and see what occupies storage space?

I'm updating the phone to my mother from iOS7 to iOS10.  During the update, I got and error and the phone only displays the message "Connect to iTunes".  When I connect to iTunes it tells me that the device must be updated or restored.  The update always fails.  If I do the restoration, and he is restored to iOS 10 I will be able to restore the backup iOS7 on the device?

Yes, you can restore older backups to the latest version. Note that for iOS 10, you need iTunes 12.5.1 or later version. And the version of iTunes requires Windows 7 or later, or Mac OS 10.8.5 or later.

  • iCloud backup after iOS 10 - some files were not available during the last backup

HI - we are a company with about 350 users of iPhone and iPad.  I put this in the iCloud in the community section, but I've seen other users have the same problem in this section, so I thought I would add here.

In order to stop users add their own e-mail accounts on the iPhone that lock us the device through restrictions - deactivation of the accounts section.  It stops and then access the iTunes settings.  In the test of iOS 10.0.1, we have one of the devices (a 16 GB 5 s, who had been a backup at 7:20 that morning), improved 9.3.2 that went well with no obvious problems, then, after a few days to leave the handset to the function, we have lifted the restriction and the backup on iCloud to find any backup not occurred since the upgrade and a message 'some files were not available during the last. backup"in its place.

If all our staff upgrade their phones (we gave says not yet) then the backups look like they stop.  It is easy to fix, as a manual backup, will complete the process, but you have to remove the restriction to do this.

We tested on iPhone 5, 5 s, air iPad iOS 8 to 9.3.5 and all have this problem.

I have exactly the same problem, 16 GB iPhone 5s as well. I plan on raising at my Genius Bar appointment today.

  • Cannot restore backup iOS 10 iCloud

Hi, I have updated my iPhone to iOS 10 6 yesterday making a new installation (with IPSW restore via iTunes) then I could restore from my last backup (I backup with iTunes).

After the update, while completing the initial installation of the phone, I choose "Restore from backup iCloud" then I select the backup that I want to restore, but once the backup is complete download I get a message "cannot restore backup. I tried several times and also with the previous backups of the same phone as well as with the same result.

Is this a bug with iCloud? Is there another way I can restore my apps on my iPhone for this backup?

You update iTunes before installing iOS 10?  iTunes required an update before installing the new iOS.
