touch screen ripped off by toddler! 7520e HP

Hello

Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum. Please move if necessary.

My one year old son became curious and "explore" our printer. He pulled the swivel touchscreen! It is fixed by two cables in water to the unit. Ribbons Plug connectors normally. They do not look damaged. This seems unlikely, and I'm prepared for the worst, but can only be reintegrated into connectors? Can I try, or requires special tools and skills? It seems that the connectors to plug into a socket and inserted remained connectors while the ribbons came out. Is this true? If so, then I unplug the connectors and try reseating the Ribbon?

If I need to take this repair authorized, could it be covered by the warranty? If not, repair would cost as much as a new unit?

Thanks for your help.

Pete

No need to disassemble things.
the narrower cable on the right, you can just push the slot.
The coast has a flip lock (Brown), flip it up, insert the Ribbon and back down to lock in place. Unless it's broken or missing piece Brown, then you would need professional repair.

I have an iPhone 6 Plus.

When my screen and fingers are clean, I normally use the touchscreen. But sometimes disables the touch sensor. I can't use the touch to do anything. This happens sometimes when I scroll through things. The phone doesn't freeze; She meets home and power buttons. This happens every day and is boring.

Normally, I can solve this by sleep and the awakening of my phone. It is a software problem.

I hope someone can help me.

You have a protective screen or phone cover

If so - try without a little

Also, the contact requires a certain temp of the skin and that it is free of excess moisture (freshly washed hands, sweat, ointments, etc.)

    Try this

Do a forced reboot - after all open applications using the app Chooser - invoked by fast double pressing the home button and drag upwards on each app until it disappears from the screen.

Meet the sleep/wake and home buttons down until you see the logo  - then release and allow normal start upward

  • How to make it turn off the touch screen?

I don't want to use the touch screen. How to turn off the it? It is activated by all sorts of things, like my touch cat's tail, or an insect landing on it, or a curtain blowing against it. I don't type using the screen, I prefer the keyboard that I can not type quickly on the screen. I would like to turn off the touch screen when I use it not (most of the time), or even permanently - it is not useful for what I want to do that the screen is not as sensitive or as fast as the input devices that I usually use.

Hi, I have a HP TouchSmart 320-1030, so it can work on your touch screen:

    1. Press Windows + X logo.
    2. Select Device Manager from the list.
    3. Click on the small arrow next to Interface devices to expand the list.
    4. Click the touchscreen driver (in my case, Voltron NextWindow touch screen).
    5. Right click and select disable from the list.
    6. Click Yes in the dialog box that asks you if you are sure you want to disable the touch screen driver.

When you want your touchscreen to work again, follow the above procedure, EXCEPT when right-clicking on the touch screen driver, select enable.

  • Satellite U920T-117 - touch screen does not work & off restarts

Just opened my new u920t-117, my first time buying a Toshiba, 5 mins in and excitement began to turn to you to worry.

I really hope that its makes me something simple, bad, or at worst a software problem.

At no time the touch function works (either in tablet mode or laptop).
In the--> system under Pen & Touch Panel it says "no net or touch entry is available for this view ' as my last computer that had no touch screen.

This means - there is a problem with the driver, or something.

It also appears when I click on stop down it stops down and 5 seconds later starts again.

    Hi stephen

    > I really hope that its hurts me something simple, or at worst a software issue.

I'm afraid the worst cases are a hardware malfunction, and I guess that your contact U920T Satellite malfunctions of the screen.

I read in another thread about the similar problem, and it seems that service engineers must be contacted in order to solve these problems of touchscreen.

I don't know if you could ask your dealer for a replacement unit but in the case where the dealer replace the laptop, get in touch with a Toshiba ASP your country to fix.

  • Can I turn off Portege M700 touch screen?

    Hi mate,

What operating system is in question? Have you already checked if the fingertouch function can be disabled in the configuration of the Tablet? Have you even read the manual? I'm asking because it s said there that you can disable the touch function.
I recommend to check the manual or the configuration tool for digitizing tablet.

How can I disable my touch screen then on the phone?  Clearly, I'm not very saavy with my phone.

    Welcome to the forums, Laurabeth!

Fozzy said, there is no adjustment with the native device software to disable the touch screen, but there are some app you can find in AppWorld to achieve this.

Such an application (which I use) is TalkLock, and function, it's just that... locks, the touch screen while you are online.  There are other apps that you will find to lock your device that are more customizable than just the phone, but for your application (and mine), TalkLock would be the way to go... very simple app.  Just install it and it works!

  • Turning off the touch screen saves the battery?

Hi all. I have recently bought one of these new Asus 2 in 1 folding booklets (TP500LN-CJ035H).

The battery life is OK, but I want to squeeze a little more out of it, so I was wondering if disabling the touch screen by Device Manager, will save you piles. I'm not too fussed on the touchscreen then don't use do not really mind.

    Hi Luke_404notfound

Thanks for posting the question on the Microsoft Community Forums.

From the description, I understand you are looking for ways to extend the life of your laptop battery and wonder if the deactivation of the touchscreen will save batteries.

If you do not use the touch screen, you can go ahead and disable it to see if it increases your battery life. However, may I recommend try you some of the steps listed here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-8/tips-save-battery-power

  • Is there a Windows API that I can use to turn off the touch screen of WIndows 8?

It makes sense for a Tablet have a touchscreen. A valve system, I would like to live without a touchscreen.

I would like to disable the touchscreen disabled if a machine is not in tablet mode. However, I can't find any API to do it on Windows 8. in Windows Mobile, there are APIs such as DisableTouch and EnableTouch. I wish I had such somethings on Windows 8 Pro. When the touch screen is disabled, the OS will never be aware of activity on the touch screen.

    Is anyway to do this?

    Thank you

    Hello

It seems that you want to disable the touch screen on a Tablet using the C++ programming language. I suggest that you post your question in the MSDN forums. The community on these forums is more experienced to answer questions related to the programming language.

  • How to disable the touch screen of the Toshiba LX830 - 11 d

    I managed to break the touch screen on a Toshiba LX830 - 11 d.

The machine runs Win8 and always works with a USB keyboard and a mouse, although he thinks there are plenty of touch of the finger around the damaged area.

Is it possible to disable the touch screen feature so that I can use it as a 'normal' PC or remove the screen touch himself leaving a simple LCD screen?

    Thanks for any advice.
