Touch to send the SMS Z10 blackBerry

BB software developers are geniuses, but why is there a send key and not a carriage return in the text message application?.

Heya @keithbergoff!

  • How to block the sending of SMS from BlackBerry in the code

    I tried to use notifyOutgoingMessage to interface OutboundMessageListener to catch the sending of SMS, but it does not work. In the document, I only give a copy of the message. So, I wonder how can I get SMS messages and block in the code? This is my essay:

    MessageConnection _mc = (MessageConnection) Connector.open("sms://:0");
    _mc.setMessageListener(new OutboundSMSListener());

    private static final class OutboundSMSListener implements OutboundMessageListener
    {
    public void notifyIncomingMessage(MessageConnection messageconnection)
    {

    System.out.println("Income Message received: ");
    }

    public void notifyOutgoingMessage(Message message)
    {

    System.out.println("------------------------\n\n\n\n\n");
    System.out.println("Message send: " + message);
    }
    }

    Implement SMS.addSendListener () and returns the value false in the sendMessage method. BTW, the SMS class has been implemented in 4.6.0 is not possible to do it on an OS earlier.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones cannot SEND the SMS messages on 8130

    Here is my story:

    1. I've upgraded to a Blackberry Pearl 8130 pink in the beginning of the year.   My carrier is Verizon.

    2. recently (a month ago) a friend sent a text message to me of his new phone.  I tried to text back, but received a big big red X indicating that my message isn't getting through.  Specifically, when I opened my message, the error says, "State of the Mobile equipment has failed."

    3. I went to Verizon.  They did something where I think that they took me off the network and then get back on.  There is nothing.  She wanted to make a hard game on the phone, but I had not backed up my data again.

    4. I went home and my data backed up and returned to Verizone about a week later.  I spend more than an hour in the store.  The gentleman who helped me was on the phone with someone (no doubt technical support) nothing works.  He was ready to order me a phone replacement, but after further discussions with technical support, they thought there was a problem with the network, not my phone.  I went home with a case number.

    5. the next day same Verizon called.  They said it wasn't a network problem and it was my phone.  They would send me a replacement.

    6. I received my replacement phone a few days later.  I was anxious to get it set up, but the results were the same.  I have not yet returned to Verizon.  I thought I'd try everything here first see if anyone had any ideas.

    The bottom line:

    I CAN send/receive emails.

    CAN I send an MMS message.

    I CAN receive text Messages.

    I can't send SMS messages.

    Thanks for any advice you may have.

    -Sandra

    Tami,

    Thanks for the reply.  I happy to point out, however, that the problem has been resolved by Verizon!  It has never been my phone, that's why the replacement was a mute point.  Anyway, here is their answer (in case someone else has this problem):

    Sandra, we reviewed your account and coding in any of our servers.  We believe that we have found the problem and fixed it.  We ask that you update your PRL (preferred roaming list) by calling the * 228, option 2.  Once completed please test your ability to send text messages.

    I'm just glad that the problem has been resolved because my frustration was very high.

    Happy texting!

    -Sandra

  • How recover recently who has send the sms and recently send e-mail address?

    Hello

    I want to combile all numbers recently called, recently send sms number and recently send e-mail address.

    I did get it back recently called numbers but I don't get how to recover the recently send sms numbers and email address.

    can someone tell me please how to Thatcher?

    You can read the messages in the sent folder and choose the e-mail addresses, the messages have been sent.  Or you could implement a SendListener, to capture and store the addresses of e-mail messages recently sent e-mail.

  • Cannot access the SMS folder blackBerry smartphones

    I just bought my "BOLD" about a month ago.  Since yesterday, I can't access my SMS folder, but I can access my mail and messenger. I can still make and receive calls.  The error message seems to be "Eception exception: java.lang.NullPointer Exception" can anyone help?

    Thank you. It worked.

  • A malfunction of the sensors Z10 blackBerry

    Do not tilt left and right. They have been quite good an hour before. But he stopped working. Please help me!

    Thank you!

    Because it's more similar to a hardware problem, it depends on what kind of policy that the retailer has. If it were one day 7 return policy, you can do backfor a change.

    Otherwise, you need to bring it to the authorized service center nearest repair

    I would be grateful if I could know that this issue has a solution or not. I mean, this part is replaceable or is it wise to replace the device itself with flipkart?

  • BlackBerry Q10 Q10 - How to change the SMS settings to send NOT "enter".

    I prefer to use sms as email - IE full use of sentences and paragraphs.

    I don't want to send the sms by pressing on enter, which seems to be the default setting on my new Q10.

    How can I change this then starts a new line 'Enter', but doesn't send SMS?

    Thank you for your help.

    Unfortunately, I do not believe there is an option for that.

  • BlackBerry Z3 how to get rid of the SMS limit

    I don't think that this 'problem' is specific to the Blackberry Z3. This problem is quite annoying to say the least. I do not understand why the SMS to Blackberry Z3 is limited to seven 160 characters per message (once I exceed the limit, the message is automatically converted to MMS). Of course, there are BBM for long messages, but SMS is always universal compared to WiFi or e-mail requiring mobile data services to work. For an OS that boasts of its powerful messaging capabilities, imposing character SMS limit is unnerving. I have problems with my carrier when sending very long text messages. I do it all the time on my Android phone. Is it possible to get rid of this limit?

    There is no way to get rid of the limit of the 7 messages. I'm sorry.

  • Can't stand z10 BlackBerry applications JAVA MIDP 2.1?

    Hello

    I would like to know whether or not the new Z10 BlackBerry device supports JAVA MIDP applications.

    When I checked GSM ARENA for the specification of phone, I could see that it supports JAVA MIDP 2.1 apps. I need to confirm, because I am also a developer of BlackBerry by profession. So this might help me to develop applications in JAVA - programming language that I like the most.

    Any information on this matter is highly appreciated.

    Thank you much in advance.

    Brahim Salim

    the Z10 does not support java applications.

    with the exception of android applications that can be run in a runtime (but have not access to many API).

    I moved to + native waterfalls, so big c ++, made a little easier by Qt, which is much more similar to java by structure. It took me about 2-3 months to get productive with it (while developing java applications, it is so much shorter if you invest more time).

  • BlackBerry SMS Z10

    Hi all

    My new BBZ10 is a beautiful machine. However, after a week of trying, I still did not succeed by sending an SMS.

    With my old BB9000, I used every day. It is important for my business.

    The Z10, SMS is invariably changed to Chat, MMS ot or anything else, is does not reach their recipients. Z10 not even tell me that the message does not pass.

    Can someone tell me how can I do?

    Best regards

    Paulver

    There is no difference between SMS on a Z10 and on older devices BlackBerry is nothing of what you're doing wrong.  Something in the OS of your phone is glitching (by the sounds of it), so let's start with the simplest of solutions, a battery pull.  That's another thing that has not changed with the Z10, you can always remove the battery to solve problems.  So go ahead and pull the battery so that your phone is powered and then replace it.

    Post back with your results.

  • BlackBerry passport how to press 'enter' - but does not send the message?

    The title of this question sounds missleading, so first I want to clarify: of course, I don't want to change the General settings. 'Enter' no doubt needs to send the message, everything is not suitable for me. I just need to know how to jump a line in this mode.

    For all my blackberries former, this happens with the key combination "shift" and "enter". But with my passport for blackberry, that it does not, that gives me a hard time, really. I don't want to disable the function to send a message by pressing 'enter' in general, it makes even less sense, I just want to know how to jump a line in typing. And I can't really picture what a device designed for quick and extensive writing eliminates even the possibility of it in normal view from strike.

    any help?

    Assuming it's a BBM or TEXT message?

    Touch and hold the screen ^ arrow on the left and the Enter key.

    It is the SHIFT key, I know will say you this does not work, but it is certainly for me.

  • Empty sender and the mimetype for the SMS received

    I read the guide to read incoming sms here:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/native-development-knowledge/BlackBerry-10-Developer-s-guide-...

    I'm able to catch the signal with a method of the crack but when I try to read the SMS or sender I get an empty string.

    The code is:

    void MyClass::messageReceived(bb::pim::account::AccountKey AccountID , bb::pim::message::ConversationKey ConversationID , bb::pim::message::MessageKey MessageID)
    {
        bb::pim::message::Message ReceivedMessage;
        bb::pim::message::Attachment MessageAttachment;
        QString MessageText;
        QString LoginPassword;

        Logger::writeLog("Received Message\n");

        ReceivedMessage = MessageServiceHandler.message(AccountID , MessageID);

        if(true)//message.mimeType().compare(bb::pim::message::MimeTypes::Sms) == 0)
        {
            Logger::writeLog("Message Type: %s\n" , ReceivedMessage.mimeType().toAscii().data() );

            if(true)//message.isInbound() == true)
            {
                Logger::writeLog("Sender: %s\n" , ReceivedMessage.sender().displayableName().toAscii().data() );

                if(ReceivedMessage.sender().displayableName().contains("") == true)
                {
                    Logger::writeLog("Received SMS from %s\n" , ReceivedMessage.sender().displayableName().toAscii().data() );

    I also tried to take the account number of the AccountService instead of passage I get from the signal (). The result is always the same. The output is just:

    Received Message

    Message Type:

    Sender:

    Is there something wrong?

    I solved quickly add a lack of permissions on the file of the bar - descriptor.xml.
    I don't remember what was missing, but was one of them:

    run_native
    access_pimdomain_messages
    access_sms_mms
    access_phone

    What are the permissions in the bar - the sample application SmsMessageService descriptor.xml file.

  • Display of the Z10 Z10 blackBerry calendar and time are not (closed by 1 hour)

    I live in Saskatchewan and have my Z10 date and time set to Sask-6. I'm going for the calendar, create a new event, enter the time as 07:30 and save. The calendar shows the event at 08:30. If you select the item and edit it, it is properly the list at the time as 07:30. I guess that there is a bug with the time (time never changes in Saskatchewan), and I can't find any setting to disable the time change.

  • Weird blackBerry Smartphones... I can't open a text or send an SMS to a specific contact only

    Only one of my contacts, I can not open or send a sms for! I tried every possible way open her cat, but I can't. When I wrote a new sms to equality and send a text, it closed just the window. Any help?

    First, try a reboot of the device: with the phone smart BlackBerry turned on, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    If it remains impossible to open, go to the cat of unopend and delete it.

    Now, try a new convo with this contact.
