  • Drivers Touchpad (ALPS) for laptop Gateway NV59

My laptop is running ALPS Touchpad driver 7.105.2015.1105 which is the latest driver for Windows 7 64 bit.

I upgraded to Windows 10. After the upgrade, I noticed that the ALPS driver was gone and I had a Synaptics PS/2 driver with no possibility of gesture.  I returned to Windows 7 until I have find out what my options are.

I've seen some touchpad drivers ALPS for Windows 10 on the ACER site.  Are they compatible with the ALPS touchpads gateway?  Can I go back to Windows 10 and then replace the Synaptics driver with the driver ACER ALPS?

Thanks to adcvance for any assistance offered.

  • Satellite U400 - 150 (PSU45E) - ALPS touchpad problem

    Hello

I am trying to solve some problems with the touchpad. My PSU45E Toshiba U400-150 was fitted in ALPS touchpad (synaptics, which is much better from day instead).

Previously I worked on another laptop to factory with Synaptics and software that he had advanced options, better than the ALPS.

    1. when I use ALPS driver that the coursor movement seems to be "nervous", do not help the traffic regulations. So I uninstalled the driver ALPS, Synaptisc and the movement has been widely. However, the Synaptics software had any advanced options (such as the areas of contact, scroll, etc.). So I restored the ALPS driver, once again, and returned "jumpy" movement. I assume that the driver is not as good as synaptics.

2 I need in fact for the middle button emulation. In synaptisc, there was this option in the "contact areas". I was using the upper right corner for the emulation of the middle button of the mouse. I was looking for such an option in the ALPS driver, but there is none.

I woud be gratefull for any sollutions, suggestions about the issue 1 and 2. Is it possible to emulate the middle button of the mouse in the ALPS?

    TIA.

I have a touchpad Alps on my Tecra and its very good, so maybe you just need to update the driver Alps?

    Using XP or Vista?

I tried to re install the drivers, but windows gives me an error message indicating that there is a conflict. How can I get the touchpad to scroll again using Windows 7?

    Hello

Is this by chance a Vostro laptop?

If so, there's already a long thread about this in another forum: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprohardware/thread/cf9bc301-e3c2-4c5b-b9cd-9eab8582f45f.

Currently, there is no work around.  When I put in information about this problem, I'll post in the thread above.

  • Satellite A300-1EG: problem with the touchpad after installing Windows 7

    Hello!

I had a problem with my touchpad since I installed Windows 7 (64-bit version) on my laptop (Toshiba) A300-1EG.

I tried many different solutions to this problem.
I checked the alignment of the touchpad (be it on) in the BIOS, I tried to install several drivers (on a site of Synaptics, automatically by Windows) and none of these work. Of course, I tried FN + F9 key combination.
When I check the alignment of the touchpad in the Control Panel, everything seems fine. It is written, that "device working properly.

I have Toshiba Software, what may be the cause of the problem?
But I have no idea where I can find something.

    I'd appreciate any help.

I hope to be understandable - English is not my mother tongue :) Thank you very much in advance for any ideas. :)

    Hi mate

I'm not quite sure what problem you have but you should first try to install the necessary drivers touchpad m.
Maybe you used the wrong driver in the past

So Sat A300-1EG belongs to the series of PSAG4E.
The European driver Toshiba page does not provide a special touchpad driver for Win 7 for this device.

But I noticed that Win 7 64 bit drivers touchpad (Alps & Synaptics) for Satellite L500 PSLS3E series is released on the European driver page.
Try both drivers Touch Pad for this device and test it!

  • Two fingers tap right-click (ALPS, Yoga 500) - here's how...

    Hello

I just wanted to share and in which case I need information later it's nice to be able to find it on the internet if I forgot.

I bought a Yoga 500 14 - IBD (born to Win10 - not upgraded) as is was on sale and I thought why not I need a second machine. It's actually a very nice machine and the Pentium seems much better in daily chores that I imagined (but her as Atom - like execution but in fact it's more like just below i3)

However not everything is rosy red. Like the 900 and probably many other laptops of Lenovo, he got a very annoying problem. NO TAP TWO fingers FOR a RIGHT CLICK ! Argh! Beyond me a deemed manufacturer manage to get two bad finger tap!

The Yoga of 500 I got is like the low end version of the 500 (although it got FHD IPS) and that's probably why they put in a touchpad ALPS while my 900 has got a Synaptics.

I have not found any information about to enable two finger tap, right-click on ALPS touchpads on the internet so I messed up a little round in regedit (I'm confident enough so has not been worried, worst restore values) thought why not share.

    1. open regedit

    2 Goto - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Apls\Apoint\Gesture

    3. change the value of 2TapShow to 1

    4. change the value 2TapSupport to 1

    5. modify 2TapSetting value set at 13 decimal hex d

    6. do the same for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alps\Apoint\Gesture

    7 restart the machine

Step 5 is optional. You are now in the control panel of the ALPS under multi finger set what you want two finger tap to do! Most likely, you want to have in the context menu, but there are also other options if you care right click.

This information is for Windows 10 ALPS driver v8.201.1611.252 so things are not exactly the same on your laptop and of course the use of information is at your own risk. Messing around in regedit can make operating system unusable if you make a mistake!

    - ENJOY YOUR 'NEW' TOUCHPAD! --

Also while adjusting your touchpad settings you can adjust the speed. Diffinately scroll speed to the maximum and sensitivity to the max as well. ALPS seems to jerk and get the fantom clicks if you're the type who just slightly touching the touchpad. Affecting sensicity max and the touchpad features very well no involuntary jerkyness and click.

    Sorry for a minor error!

I was writing this in my OneNote and discovered an error.

Point 5 is 2TapFunc NOT setting (!) However, this doesn't mean probably much - only that you should open the ALPS Control Panel to then hit the function instead of working just after regedit and restart both with the fingers together.

Sorry for inconvinience but the forum does not allow me to edit a post efter sometime!

  • Satellite P305-S8828 touchpad lose the scroll function

My touchpad (Alps ver. 7.0.302.8) loses scrolling periodically when switching between web sites in Firefox.
Under "mouse properties" graph no activity for the scroll activity.

He usually highlites the chart when I touch the touchpad scroll area. I am the latest driver, but have not tried to remove & put it back, again. Anyone know if it's probably a problem of Vista (Vista Home Premium SP1) or the Alps driver problem?
Also, sometimes I lose my pointer, as the speed settings, during his waking from sleep. Not sure about the exact conditions when it goes well.

I saw a problem with my card wireless is not recognized after after sleep.
To do this, I have to restart the computer & device is reinstalled.
The problem with the touchpad is not moved for the first 2 weeks of use, but the problem of wireless adapter started the day 2 or 3.

Oh, BTW, I also have a Logitech (ver. 4.24.28.0) installed mouse & driver Wacom (1.2.2.0) installed.
I can do without the Wacom being installed at the beginning, but I don't want to install the Logitech mouse driver.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks, kev

    Hey kev

We can chat about it only if you use the image settings or the factory of recovery. You have installed third party driver and the responsibility of Toshiba stops there. No one knows if there is a negative influence to driver preinstalled Toshiba.

If you want to have the full functionality of the touchpad, use Toshiba stuff only. But if you want to use an external device with own driver or software you have to live with it.

  • Disable the touchpad with mouse connected in Windows 7

I have a Dell Inspiron 1420.  Recently walking from Vista to Windows 7.  In Vista, I had the Mouse/touchpad settings set to disable the touchpad when a USB mouse is connected.  Cannot find the menu/right screen now put back in Windows 7.  Cannot not even find any indication of a touchpad or software for this anywhere in the menus of the program or the material.  Don't want to permanently disable the touchpad, just at the moment where a mouse is connected. Looking for step by step instructions, please!

Contact Dell and ask where you can get Windows 7 software support for the touchpad that is adapted to your laptop. Dell tells you, it is possible that software exist on the Synaptics or Alps support pages, but you need to know who of the touchpad is equipped... • different problem from the computer touchpad portable 8570p

I am aware of the feature that turns the touchpad (tap on the top left corner) on and off.  I use the keyboard all the time, and my problem is that it is a great feature - if you're right-handed. As a lefty, I'm constantly turn off the touchpad and have to press twice on the upper left corner to re - activate. In addition to suggest HP they hire left-handers to test their products, I wonder if there is a way to disable the function of the touchpad, so I can't stop and reactivate all the minutes. I want the touchpad to work all the time!

    Hello

    Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open mouse, the Clickpad settings tab and then click the button settings Clickpad - option, you must disable is called "Tap to turn off" - the actual location of this will vary a bit your touchpad hardware/software but should be similar to the example below.  When the option is deselected, click 'Close' in the first window and then apply and Ok in the remaining one.

  • Portege R500 upgrade to Win 7 64 bit: lost and no scrolling touchpad driver

    Dear all,

I have updated my portege R500 WIndows 7 64-bit OS and had the following problems:

    1. as a first step the touchpad scrolling has worked well (with no driver installed) but then it works more... so I tried a driver but
    2. There is no driver for the touchpad (Alps) which is recognized as a compatible mouse PS
BTW, uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work and I searched a lot on the web but found no solution.

I downloaded the drivers for VISTA 64 bit, is it safe to use?

    Appreciated advice, thank you.

    Simone

    Hello

    > I downloaded the drivers for VISTA 64 bit, is it safe to use?
Yes, it s safe you can try to install the drivers for the touchpad for Vista in the worst case, you will get an error message that this driver is not compatible or will not work.

But look man there is Win 7 Alps and Synaptics touchpad drivers for Win 7.
The drivers were released for other series of laptop.
Check the Satellite L500 area for example

  • Touchpad not working not not on Satellite U400

The touchpad on my U400 has stopped working.

I tried to have him re - install at least twice by first selecting the uninstall option, where he asks a re-boot to complete uninstallation.
After re-booting, it actually detects it and installs the driver, and just at that time the touchpad works again.

But, he asks an another re-boot to complete the installation, after which it does not yet work.

This could be a hardware problem? What else can I try if it's not?

If it helps, I used two old mouse wireless with it, but them deleted during uninstall.
I had already traded one, and I don't think that the other laptop has had this particular problem.

    Thank you!

So I guess that you have solved your problem, and now you know how the touchpad and software work.

  • Pilot of the touchpad for Vista Satellite 1955-S805 footstool?

    Hi all

Is there a touchpad (Alps, I think) driver that will work on this machine running Vista? I tried several but no luck for now.

    Thanks for the help.

LOL: D you have installed Vista on this good old classic?
    Why?

A lot of people switch to XP due to the better performance and you have installed Vista is very strange?  :|

Anyway... This seems to be a series Toshiba us and if you need any driver, you should visit the Toshiba page we.
But to be honest I doubt that you will find THE Vista drivers for this oldie!

However, I wish you good luck

  • Touchpad is no longer made scroll vertically on A Satellite

So my HD crashed and I completely install Windows and all the things Toshiba with it a new.

Everything is fine - except for one thing, my touchpad isn't more scroll and down with the appearance of it in IE or Chrome, but it still works in SeaMonkey.

My computer tells me there is a problem with getting a new driver for the touchpad, and I think that I should do it already a year ago when I still had my original HD running.

I went on the Toshiba.ch site and tried to find something.

I found all their stuff 'check' and got inside the system and he instantly returned about 45 pilots by the looks of my 'UN' - eyeys, that they are all could be for something else, so I searched especially for "touch pad" and Yes, there is one for my touchpad Synapsis and XP as well, so I downloaded the wheel - or should I say I open in Win Zip and checked first on the file "readme - wow. , it was a few Portuguese in there, and that's when I started kind of feel lost.

I don't check Toshiba.ch, getting a ton of pilots in my face that I have no idea if I'm supposed to download them all or what, and when finally I choose what I think I need all of this seems to be in Portuguese, what the crickey in the afternoon are we talking about?

In any case, before I download and try to install stuff that I have no idea on I was hoping someone could give me actually a hint better on what I need to do exactly to get my touchpad to scroll and down again also in Chrome, IE and where ever else.

I use on Win XP Pro SP3 and told me maybe it's why former original driver for this laptop needs to be updated, but what file, where to find and how to install correctly please someone?

    Hello

I put t you know model laptop, but usually you will need to install both drivers touchpad; Alps Electric and Synaptics touchpad driver.
Both lie on the European driver Toshiba page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

After installing these two drivers, you should go to control panel-> mouse-> device settings control (or properties, don t remember exactly)
You will find all the settings related to the touchpad.
You need to configure virtual scrolling.

Used the CD Key which was written under the computer.
If everything works Gr8 except my Touch Pad...

I installed all the Windows Update drivers were able to give me.
Went to support toshiba and downloaded page the drivers from there.
But still, nothing. It won't work.

Anyone know what I can do? Or what is the problem.

Thank you all for all the help you can provide me.
    Lol XoXo

    Hello

I have no idea why the touchpad does not work yet, you have installed the good drivers do you have?

Are you sure that the touchpad is not disabled? Usually, you can disable the touch pad using the FN + F9 key combination. Check it out.

The P205 Sat is very similar to the European model Toshiba Satellite P200.

Maybe you can download two Touchpad (Alps Electric and Synaptics) drivers from the Toshiba European page choose either of the P200 series and check the drivers!
