Touchpad cursor (mouse) returns to the upper right when lift finger off of it so can't navigate anywhere on the screen (left)

My touchpad / slider did something weird, then attaches after put the laptop to sleep and wake it (no reset). I write the problem here in case someone has it and where it appears again.

No reason apparent (no reboot, working on more than an hour), my cursor has begun returning several times up to the upper right of the screen whenever I lifted my finger on the touchpad (no touch screen). I write this, my cursor is now sitting quietly in the middle of the screen, apparently not abreast of his prior preferred to move to the upper right corner in the recent past. My solution to workaround (after a good 15 minutes of frustration and cursing) should always keep at least one finger on the touchpad. I put a finger where I had to be to move the cursor from its current location (to where I wanted to go) and the other on the touchpad for the cursor wouldn't move suddenly to the upper right corner again.

Another that put the laptop to sleep and he wake up, I have nothing to solve this problem, but it seems to be OK for the moment. I think that there is a hidden software glitch somewhere.

greetings to the community. .

I had exactly the same problem and tried to put my computer to sleep for 20-30 seconds, and it worked. THANKS for this posting!

  • Cursor starts moving across the screen from left to right after the wake up the computer from standby or hibernation

    Original title: cursor goes wild

My PC to 'wake up' sleep/hibernate, the cursor initially moving across the screen from left to right, in which window is open, destroy all the document is on the screen. I force Windows to close. How to solve this other than turning off standby/hibernation?

Looks like the cursor of the mouse is very sensitive when the computer comes out of standby or hibernation.
I suggest that you go in the mouse properties and lower the sensitivity and see if that helps.
You also need to update any driver mouse if possible.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Vista, why my cursor jumps around on the screen without reason?

Vista, why my cursor jumps around on the screen without reason?

You are using a laptop with a touchscreen?  Chances are good that you accidentally touch the touchpad while typing, and that moves the cursor.  Go to start / Control Panel / mouse and see if there are controls for adjusting the sensitivity of the touchpad or to disable the touchpad while typing.  Go to the web site of the manufacturer of your and download the latest device drivers, firmware, and software for touchpad you and your mouse (if you also have a mouse - you may have to go the manufacturer of the mouse for these drivers, if she did not come with the system).  New updates can offer options that did not exist before like the ones I mentioned.

This happened to me also and I bought a separate mouse and disabled the touchpad and the problem disappeared - but he had me past for awhile until I finally figured it out by typing differently (with my hands up higher so the Palms do not touch and had no problem).  Even if this isn't the problem, update the drivers, firmware or software can solve the problem on its own.

If none of the works above, we will need either to run a complete troubleshooting procedures (post back and I'll meet with them) or the touchpad or mouse is defective and must be replaced.  You can discuss these last with the computer manufacturer when you talk to them (if you talk to them).

I hope this helps.  If you have any questions along the way, come back and I'll do my best to answer.

    Good luck!

  • Why my mouse pointer on the screen?

You are using a laptop with a touchpad? If so, I guess you hit during the navigation. You have not provided all the details, so it's a bit difficult help.

  • Two screen question: Control Panel appears on the screen 1 but the mouse is on the screen 2 and so I can't access

I have a Sony Vaio laptop connected to a stand alone monitor. I don't use the laptop screen unless there is a problem and then I had to alternate between the two screens using Fn F7 key.

A problem has occurred with the rundll32 process (which I'm trying to fix separately) and this led to the PC automatically flicking between screens and then stick with the independent monitor but in low resolution (so I couldn't access the tool bar along the bottom).

I went to control panel to change the resolution to high, but the question of rundll32 kept close the process.

This left me with icons on the desktop of the monitor stand alone, a white color on the laptop screen (it is normally black) and the ease of Fn F7 does not (said the service is not available).

When I click on Control Panel on the screen of stand alone, it opens on the screen of the laptop, but I can't access it because the function of the mouse is on the screen to stand alone.

Can someone help before I go out drinking?

    Thanks, Temp.

I seem to have solved the problem. It seems that display order has been reversed and so I just had to move the mouse to the right of the screen to stand alone (I had been pushing against the left hand side) to move on the screen of the laptop. From there on, I played a bit with the display settings in the control panel and, although the issue of the always kept dllrun32 throw me out, seems to be back on the screen of stand-alone only, with the correct resolution and the Fn f7 works again. This means I can put the top back on bottle of vodka, at least until the next issue of dllrun32 arises.

  • Windows 7 is extremely slow to return to the screen saver mode.

I installed upgrading Windows 7 on my computer and everything is fine.  However, when the system is idle and past in mode screensaver (with or without a password), the return of the screen saver mode are extremely slow (just a white screen).  It is sometimes quick, sometimes it comes back in 3-4 minutes, but most of the time it takes a long time.

The system is a low end, but more than enough to manage w7.  It consist of:
    Pentium dual core (2140)
    2 gig memory
    NVIDIA 7300GT 256M

I tried to delete the zone alarm security suite, does not solve the problem
thought it was the HP 2610 print software, removed and still happens.
    update the bios (MSI p4m900)

can someone figure this.  Is there something that prevents him to return to the desktop.

Note that, I try to reboot from the blank screen by pressing the windows, right arrow, return.  But I think also, it does not address key strokes.

    THX

I found a way to fix it! I did this:

    1. Press win + r and run msconfig. Go to tools and brand to troubleshoot the computer, and then click Start.

    2. then go to system and security and press electricityballance (not sure of the name in English because I have a Norwegian version..).

    3. restart your computer.

    4. my screen saver was not afterwards, but I gave it to display photos and now it works perfectly!

When I checked the general tab afterwards, it did not have the checkbox to use the... start (a last..) one has been verified and the second has a blue full mark.

How to restore items where my images are returned in the top left corner when it is open, and they have a "mesh" around them? Something to reset elements so that the image appears in the center of the box... I can't have more than 1 image open at the same time to work on. I e I can't pass a layer on the image to the other.

OK - I got out my trusty Photoshop Elements 10 - The Missing Manual and figured it out. What I was trying to describe, it was how to make images with 'tab' images 'floating '? This has somehow reset without my knowledge. What you need to do to get your images 'Floating' back is to click on "EDIT" in your editor - at the bottom of the drop-down list hover your cursor to "GÉNÉRAL" and click on - at the bottom of the drop-down list, click in the bottom left box 'ALLOW FLOATING DOCUMENTS IN FULL EDIT MODE' - and then click OK.

    That solved my problem!

  • My cursor jumps all over the screen while typing.

    Original title: TYPING PROBLEM

MY CURSOR JUMPS AROUND WHEN I TAPE. I DID A SCAN BUT NO HELP.

Ok. I use a Dell computer. I can only show how I do in my Dell computer.

Basically, you need to perform the settings with touchpad you. He is too sensitive. When you start typing, you touched the touchpad inadvertently, and moved the cursor.
    Here's how I'd do...

Right-click on a free space of the desktop > customize > mouse pointers > (this is where if you do not have a Dell PC, you may not be able to follow. But you should have an idea right after that).

I click Dell Touchpad tab > Device Select > I would like to either click on 'Disable' under the Touchpad > or put a check mark on "Disable Touchpad when external mouse usb is present." > OK

    Another method >
Click Touchpad > Touchpad settings > under tactile sensitivity, move the slide to the RIGHT (heavy)
    > OK

  • How can I stop Firefox toolbar pop up when the mouse is above the screen mode full screen (without kiosk mode, please)?

I don't want the toolbar always there (so disable auto hide does not solve the issue). I would prefer a right-click or use a combination of keys to retrieve the toolbar. The toolbar arise at any time that the mouse is near the top of the screen is too distracting. It should be an option, users can enable or disable or card for anything other than the mouse hovering. The only solution I've seen mentioned is to go the full kiosk with something like R-kiosk, but it's really a too extreme solution to a simple problem. Is there a setting already hidden in the topic-config for this problem or is it a feature request? Thank you.

There is no built-in way to disable this feature to display the toolbars when you move the mouse to the top.

Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #fullscr-toggler { display:none!important; }

The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

    • Create the folder chrome (lowercase) in the .default < xxxxxxxx > profile folder if the folder does not exist
    • Use a text editor like Notepad to create a userChrome.css (new) file in the folder chrome (file name is case sensitive)
    • Paste the code in the userChrome.css file in the Editor window
    • Make sure that the userChrome.css file starts with the default @namespace line
    • Make sure that you select "All files" and not "text files" when you save the file via "save file as" in the text editor as userChrome.css.
Otherwise, Windows can add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with one does not not userChrome.css.txt file

    I have windows 7.

    Clues? Thank you

To be honest, I can't imagine what is happening with your laptop, but probably it's just a software issue...

Perhaps you should simply close the no processes running in the background... more, you can try to clean and repair the system using the freeware called "CCleaner".

After that restart the laptop, defragment the HARD drive and check the performance of the laptop.

If this doesn't help, you can try recovery the laptop back to factory... not quite sure if it would be a real option for you, but in case of malfunction of the software, this should resolve the issue permanently.
