• Satellite Pro S500 - 11 c - bad audio performance

  Hi people,

  I have a Satellite Pro S500 - 11 c who suffers from bad audio performance mentioned in the comments of the S500 - 11 c (yes I * + look + * comments and excuse the pun).

  This makes it very difficult to use this laptop for music, VOIP and Skype without having applications to carry on a heaeset of a certain type.

  Someone at - it to another eperianced this problem and had a solution. No help from Toshiba?

  Sorry, but what kind of problem mean you? Is the sound not loud enough or what?
  I want to say that this laptop has standard stereo speakers and harman/kardon speakers not high-end inside.

  I have the Satellite L300 with same stereo speakers. The sound is OK, but not as good as on other laptops with h/K speakers.

  By the way: what kind of help do you expect? A new driver that makes the speakers more hard maybe?

  Here's what you need to do to get the HDMI audio to work...

  Download and save, but are not run this graphics Intel W8.1 driver.

  http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63750.exe

  Download and install this free utility for files.  The 2nd file is 64-bit.

  http://www.7-zip.org/

  After installing 7 - Zip, right-click on the file of the Intel graphics driver that you downloaded.

  Select 7 - Zip from the list of items.

  Have 7-zip extract of: and leave it to decompress the file in the file name (sp63750).

  After 7-zip created the driver folder, go to the Device Manager and click on the Audio device high definition with the! Select this option.

  Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-zip created folder.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the Intel HDMI driver should install.

  Then restart the PC, and you should have video and audio plays from the HDMI port output.

  Hi, Ive had this laptop for a while now and a few months ago, that the audio was working fine when I was producing my music, I plugged my microphone, guitar wheel, I even put in place a new maschine micro mk2 and he worked well with low latency. I'm not changing the latency and a few weeks after leaving my computer sit, I'm back and tried to go on soundcloud and audio did not work well. The audio was released, but it was as if the bass had been manually disabled. I read your post on the Forums of HP's Support and wanted to reach out and help with the sound issue that you are experiencing. If you perform these troubleshooting steps, it can help you recover the sound quality.

  Please note: remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

  Here is a document titled No. sound from speakers. I know that you can hear sound from your speakers, but you mentioned that the bass sounds as it disappeared. I have provided this document for you because there are steps that can help you to get the sound working properly troubleshooting.

  Are - what you happened to try the audio Troubleshooter? It might be able to solve your problem automatically.

  This is another step to try.

  1. right click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your time.
  2. click on playback devices.
  3. click on speakers/headphones.
  4. click on properties.
  5. click on the Advanced tab in the Properties window (this also will give you subwoofer settings)
  6. change the default menu Format in the highest quality.
  7. apply properties.
  8. click OK to close the Properties window.
  9. click OK to close the playback devices.

  If none of these options is right for you, you can do a System Restore. System Restore helps you go back to a time when it worked correctly for you.

  You can use the HP Support Assistant's drivers. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updated for Windows 10.

• Ralink WIreless adapter N TouchSmart 600xt (600-600/t): problem w / 5 GHz 802.11n and DD - WRT fw

  I really didn't have a good experience with HP support trying to figure why my wireless 5 GHz N is not yet detected by my new 600xt.  I tried to load the latest Ralink drivers and it made no difference.  There are a few settings in Device Manager on 5 GHz so I have reason to believe that it does not support 5 GHz as some previous TouchSmart users had trouble with.

  This network is detected by my Dell laptop almost 2 years very well, so I didn't expect this.  My environment really demands N connectivity and even though I have a structured wiring all through my house, it is not likely that the location of this machine will get wired anytime soon.

  I'm using DD - WRT firmware on a WRT600N router.  The DD - WRT software is a 2.4 version, but it's not the newest.  It is:

  DD - WRT v24 - sp2 (07/21/09) std - build 12533

  If someone has already tried a newer version or more old firmware thanks for posting your experiences.

  I had checked that the country in Ralink settings setting should be #7.  Nothing else seems not to apply to this problem.

  I just got my 600xt the other day, but before I bought it I was wondering if 802.11n adapter that support 5 GHz.  It is my understanding that not all do.  I found a card for the 600-1050 version that says this:

  Integrated Bluetooth and WLAN 802.11b/g/n single-band (2.4 Ghz), 2 x 2 featuring MIMO technology

  So I didn't even try helping with my band of 5 GHz on my router.  If yours is as well, so you will not be able to use the 5 GHz.

  To clarify, the information I provide are still on the Beats Audio.
  However, to further explain, "IDT High Definition Audio Driver" IS the driver package and the installation of Beats Audio.

  For your situation, I checked other sources and a few other computers in my lab and the IDT pilot is functional and should allow the Beats Audio for you.

  The Recovery Manager should have the drivers listed for pick up you see anything showing the IDT words? The link is provided in my last post should be add the driver back in as well as the interface if it has been deleted.

  Here is a link for the Manager of recovery in case you need help running it. using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers.

  If you tried to run everything and bat was not re-installed, then you will need to back up your files and run a system recovery.

• 600xt only occasionally don't market/wake... light green on the AC adapter is released... strange

  In the last 3 weeks or so our TouchSmart 600xt goes into a strange state 4 different times... have been left unattended for a period of time that we return to find the machine seems to be off and does not turn on via the power button (the button on the top right of the screen). He's usually asleep after 20 minutes, and if the Start button / stop he sleep will be orange glowing... in this case the light turns off completely. In addition, in this case the green light on the power adapter is not lit. The behavior of power adapter is quite out of the ordinary; its light never seens is disabled, even if the PC is turned off completely. But it is when this happens.

  The only recourse seems to be to unplug the power adapter, and then plug it back, after which the green light on the adapter lights, the power button lights up and the machine can be turned on by the power button.

  Concerned we will lose some files if stops keep occurred. We had the machine almost a year and this is a new behavior in the last 3 weeks. Note, however, that during each sleep cycle didn't appear. (The machine goes to sleep after being unsupervised on average 6 times a day and it produces "only" 4 times he slept in the last 3 weeks).

  Thoughts? Some circuit for energy in the power adapter went wrong maybe?

  I have come to resolution on this, but in a quite ridiculous way, with HP. My machine is under warranty so I called HP support. They have paid shipping for me to return the PC. The shipping box included explicit instructions, not to include the power adapter. I've included anyway so they could use it in the trials, including a note on the behavior and I figured the adapter not the PC. They I returned the PC with a note saying they were unable to repro the problem, and highlighted with a copy of the notice with the part that I intentionally did not follow! The log files indicate this was true, but he had not yet left on the MTBF I mentioned in the note... So even if they had used the adapter in the test, which is not surprising. The problem reappeared in the days at home. I called again. They paid shipping again. I've included the adapter again. This time they kept the PC on in the laboratory for several days until something of villain that has happened with the graphics drivers... not the unexpected loss of power and not something that I've never seen before in the newspapers. They replaced this material returned set. The problem reappeared in the days at home. I called one more time and said ' Please, can you just send me an AC adapter... • Audio distorted after upgrade to tvOS 9.1

  Have you tried taking the speaker system of the equation as a test case?  That is connecting ATV to a different tv and tv only. This would help pin point root cause. I suggest that this is due to the widespread audio problem observed by many during the first 2 months.  I would say that the majority of people have seen an improvement in audio performance with the 9.1 update. ..

• Old pair TouchSmart new TouchSmart keyboard

  I bought a new 23-d160qd of ENVY TouchSmart and the HATRED of the keyboard (could make you it sound any clunkier?)

  I would like TO associate my TouchSmart (600xt) previous to the new TouchSmart keyboard, is this even possible and if so, how?

  I already tried turning off the old TouchSmart, remove the batteries from the two keyboards, then put the batteries back in the old keybard and using the button to connect, while the new TouchSmart is turned on. No joy.

• Dell Diagnostics Audio tests

  Dell laptops computers have various diagnostic tools available. Those listed here are those most appropriate to help separate hardware of software audio problems. A few other Dell diagnostic tools are not included here because they use Windows and related audio driver to test the audio, and so they cannot separate hardware issues problems with the software.

  l. the pre-boot (PSA or ePSA) testing
  

  It is a set of diagnostics based on ROM, residing in a BIOS chip on the motherboard. The function audio main tests to tell you whether your speakers are working or not. In a case where there is no sound from the speakers, but there is no audio through the headphone jack, you can use the test to determine whether or not the speakers are dead.

  > Re-start the computer and press the F12 key as soon as it begins to initialize. If the computer starts Windows, restart the computer and try again.

  > Select "Diagnostics" in the start menu, and then press the Enter key. The ePSA or PSA tests will be open - it depends on the model of your laptop.

  > Locate an Audio "Make Quick Check" button on the bottom right of the screen to menu main ePSA (see screen capture below). Press the button and listen to the Speaker beeps.

  > If you do not have the "Make Quick Check" Audio button then this. Start the PSA tests, and when he runs the test of the colors it will ask you if you see the color bars on the screen. Deliberately fail the test by not answering any (press key "n") instead of Yes. When you do this the PSA test emits a series of beeps. Listen to the beeps.

  7. If you hear the audio during the test, but not when you start in Windows, which almost always * means that the material is correct, but there is a problem with the audio driver or Windows.

  8. error codes: If you answer "no" questions that ask test, test generates an error code which can indicate a technician that you answered 'no' to this question. The test usually does not pinpoit the exact component that went wrong. Before you answer "no" to a question, take note of the circumstances at that time here so that you know in general what is the error code.

  Exception

  LV. compare drivers
