  The only thing THAT AE really use the GPU is obsolete ray-traced rendering engine. Very few people use the ray-traced rendering engine. I wouldn't worry about this at all.

  Now, some third-party plugins (like element, 3D Invigorator, transmutation, etc..) Make use of the GPU, but they will work with the AMD cards and have nothing to do with this warning of CUDA, you want to come. Check that the requirements for all you plan to buy.

  Hello, I have three installed Netgear Powerline: XAV2101 XAV2101v2 and XAV5201. This small local network went very well during almost two years, and then, three days ago, there was a sudden and significant network slowdown. This means that the LAN run but with performance very very poor (unacceptable). I tried to reset all three adapter powerline without results. Any idea?

  Just for the information of the community, I found that the ethernet cable used to connect the router with the first map of poweline was probably damaged.

  I swapped the cable with a new one and now it seems Ok.

• MacBook Pro 2012 sporadically slowdown since the upgrade: SSD ALL SSAY!

  I recently updated from a Samsung 850 Evo 256 GB SSD to the 1 TB version. Everything worked perfectly on El Capitan before the upgrade.

  Since then, my Macbook (15-inch, mid-2012, 9.1) is very reliable. It has constantly been extremely hot, that fans speed up at bottom, unless they are overridden by third-party applications (fan SSD command), and even simple things like streaming video may cause the thing to grind to a halt. The battery life is also significantly more bad for exchanging the two SSDS.

  1. almost directly after installation of the SSD using my Time Machine (from the 256 GB SSD), underside of the Macbook backup was extremely hot to the touch and the fans were at full blast all the time. I have reset the SMC and downloaded SSD fan control to override the fans. This seemed to help for a few days, but then...

  2. on the accusation, it slows to a halt, which makes the Macbook unusable. I can't understand why, because it is not as if a particular application is the cause on several occasions. I noticed that kernel_task consuming CPU during one of these "slowdowns", so I tried the fix involving passing the model identifier of IOPluginPlatformFamily.kext after you turn off the csrutil of the recovery partition. But my model identifier was not yet which are listed there, there is nothing to move.

  3. the SSD seems to work very well. Repeated with BlackMagic Disk Speed Test assessment tests show reading and writing almost 500 MB/s.

  3. I ran the Apple hardware test and he told me that he had "no problems found".

  4. I have checked inside the case for excessive dust and has no problem.

  A number of users have had problems with the new Samsung SSD.  Note that Samsung omits Mac compatibility on their web site.  Whether or not this SSD is the problem is unknown at this time.  You might consider to replace it with the prior SSD and see if there is a change.

  Application of fan control do you use?  The reason why I ask, is that all of these applications I know, allow to increase the speed of the fan, does not decrease the speed.  To do this involves an element of risk because the conditions may require the speed high ventilation and by the user, reducing can result in thermal shutdown.

• Slowdown of the mysterious computer/Firefox? NEED TO ANSWER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IN-GAME COLLEGE CLASSROOM WORK

  At approximately 11:55 this morning (7 February), I noticed that Firefox takes an abnormally long time to finish loading a page. I used CCleaner and anti-virus software to see if a virus might have been a part of it, or if my computer needed a good cleaning. Which was no help at all, and the sites (including Google) take a long time to load. I tried to turn on/off my computer, and it was no help either.

  I made the point that there was an update of FireFox, so I tried. Nothing. Nothing at all.

  Unlike my problem with Java, I really NEED my sites to load completely (as in, the small rotating wheel to stop turning). Without it, I can't access the forums where I post my work in CLASS in COLLEGE.

  I don't know if there is a problem with my computer or Firefox itself. It baffles me because until then, my internet and computer had been working fine and dandy and I had not added or deleted anything. In addition, my antivirus software is up-to-date.

  In short, what the hell is going on and how to fix it? Please do not use technical terms, because I'm very bad in deciphering these. Also, please give instructions on how to solve this problem, if anyone knows how it can be fixed.

  NEED A REPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, BECAUSE IT IS IMPORTANT TO DO THE JOB IN THE CLASSROOM.

• strange slowdown after the updates today

  Hello-
  noticed a strange delay after the system starts. The system booted and the office appeared in a timely way (30-40 seconds)
  as he always does.  I uninstalled my antivirus while this problem.  (Avast from Add/Remove programs
  and usefulness clear for good measure).

  Here's what's happening.  AprΦs dΘmarrage, logon and the desktop appears, the warning that no AV is installed
  (from Security Center?) takes a full 90 seconds for it to appear.   In addition, during those 90 seconds, Outlook Express cannot
  to complete it's search for new messages and a manual to open the Security Center fails.

  After 90 seconds, everything started to work... Is something delay?  Certain services having a problem starting?

  EDIT - I investigated further after that I posted above.
  Apparently, this problem is caused by the Microsoft.Net Framework 4.
  Open the CMD prompt, navigate to \WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319
  and by running the command
  NGEN executequeueditems
  the system spends ten minutes compiling some objects.
  Finally, you get a message saying that 'all compilation targets are up-to-date.

  Rebooted the system and startup is back to normal. Access to the network and the opening of
  Delays in Security Center disappeared.

• Slowdown of the iPad

  I'm working on a picture scroll Ipad app gallery contact and it must be able to scroll through a very large amount of jpg full screen (1024 x 768 and possibly double size for Ipad3).

  Scrolling works very well with Tweenlite, my problem is when I load and unload some Movieclips containing images, screen freeze for dry ~1/2 cut the scrolling animation.

  I use CacheAsBitmap, addChild and removeChildAt for each load and unload so I understand they all take some cpu to memory allocation etc...

  So my question is:

  How can I load and unload images but still keep a fluid scrolling animation?

  Is it possible to load in the background?

  Oh geez, you use CS5? You don't know what you're missing in CS5.5...

  I honestly would say that Flash Builder is the best way forward if you REALLY want performance but, you are probably not willing to learn a whole new paradigm then download the demo version of CS5.5 and output of your project using AIR for iOS. The exit procedure is roughly the same as CS5 so that there will be no learning curve. However. The performance will be MUCH better.

  Also if you take Flash CS5.5 and overlay AIR3.2 (latest version), you can also see a significant performance bump on it.

  I know it's a lot of work just to test something, but I've never done anything in Flash CS5, which did not immediately upgraded me. You will be amazed of the performance difference using the same code.

I want to assure you that whenever someone runs my sequence, the sequence must ensure that the options "Active tracing" is disabled somehow. I know that the tracing option is actually a TestStand engine parameter, but I want to implement in my sequence.

  Please let me know if this is feasible. If so, what will be the best approach?

  Depends on why you want to turn off the tracking. One of them might work for you:

  (1) locks the file as not available.

  (2) value RunState.Tracing false as the first step of your sequence (always get the trace of the first message to the sequence of)

  (3) on the sequence of calls to the sequence set the call sequence trace disabled. (not implemented).
