  Hey all,.

  I tried to find out what it looks like a FAQ, but could not get the search form to return an appropriate thread.

  I have an XP VM on macintosh (Fusion) I want to copy and install Windows.  Is it as simple as copy

  on all files in a directory and then he vmdk pointing to VMWare player on this directory and asking him to open a virtual machine?

  Pretty much, Yes.

  Make sure to close the comments before you copy - not simply suspended.  Copy the entire directory/folder.  You * may * need to change specific to the host/hardware devices (such as serial, floppy drive ports).  Power and see if there is any warning messages / devices.  Other than that, yes it should work properly... which is one of the great advantages of virtual machines!

• Transfer files FROM Mac TO Windows?

  I need to be able to back up and move files from my Mac to my machine to Windows platform. My Seagate external drive is no longer recognizable on the Mac, and it was never recognized by the Windows machine.

  What is the best and most effective way to transfer all my files?

  Before the upgrade on my Mac for 10.11.4 Dropbox worked and had files it contains. There are more files and I'm scared to use it as a backup or transfer.

  If I switch from Windows to Mac, I expect to find answers and suggestions to the Mac community.

  I expect the best methods from Mac to Windows is located in the community of Windows.  People here tend not to go in that direction.

  By "all text" are you referring to and the titles or captions? This kind of thing can vary according to the what fonts are available on each computer. If so, you will need to acquire the corresponding fonts for each computer.

  If you had bought Mac version serial number, you can not use it to activate on the Windows computer.

  However, you can opt for the swap of the platform for the number, so that you can use the serial number to activate on your Windows computer.

  It is a process of time and serial number won't change for Mac again.

  I receive a notice of failure in trying to use transfer of Vista on my new computer Windows 8. Tranafer cable allows you to connect devices and then said he could not continue and asks me to restart... what I did without success.

• crossgrade from mac to windows

  Is it possible to make an extension of mac to windows.  I had Acrobat X Pro on my Mac.  No not the Mac more and wish to use it on my Windows machine.  I had a conversation with someone a while ago, and they told me there is no way to do it, and I have to buy the latest version of Acrobat, which is a subscription that I'm not interested.

  Extension, you will need to run the current version. If a subscription, the right to crossgrade is automatic. If it's a permanent license, you will need to contact Adobe. Surely you can not crossgrade old Acrobat X.

• Files and settings transfer from XP to Windows 7

  I backed up my XP pc files by using the USMT.  I just installed windows 7 pro on that same pc and I do not see an available USMT to restore the settings.  I did not use the transfer function.  Is it possible to restore my files and settings that are from my XP pc currently stored on an external drive to my Windows 7 environment?  the function of easy transfer on Windows 7 does not recognize the file created by the USMT.

  How to open the source files models animate Web sites created using edge in windows? since they are probably mac!

  When I unzip the files, it says that the file already exists for some files, like images etc. amd late charge only two files named

  As test, you can download this simple project file, unzip it and double-click the .one file? I would like to know what is happening?

  You are using the latest version of edge animate? What does say on the splash screen when you first launch it?

  Another way to open a project should simply open edge animate; go to file > open and navigate to the source .html or .a file to open it. Have you tried this method with any of the files you noted above?

  Another scenerio may be related to Windows user accounts? You are an authority for the two machines you mention? You don't have administrator rights to run the associative files. One solution is to right-click on a project .an file, and in the list of context menu, there should be an option to run as administrator? Try this option.

  Last resort - uninstall computer and reinstall from your cloud of Creative Adobe free.

  (1) yesterday, I transferred the information on my old computer with xp operating system on my new computer with the windows operating system 7.  I used the easy transfer cable and software.  All files and the e-mail settings transferred to the new computer with the exception of my wife's e-mail account and all of its files in the outlook express account.  I need to know how can I transfer records of Live mail e-mail.  There were two e-mail accounts in outlook express.  My mail transferred and direct files (and folders) synchronized eyerything in storage folders.  Profile of my wife has not transferred, nor has any records.

  (2) in outlook express when I opened my e-mail foler has asked that my login and password and my wife and I had different identities.  When I logged in, only my folders (storage records) have been posted.   Now on live mail all my files storage are still displayed even if my wife is to check his e-mail.  How can I set up direct mail so my wife and I have unique identities and when we opened our e-mail accounts that our individual records are displayed.

• Easy transfer from Xp to Windows 7 32. Not all profiles appear as a choice.

  I'm migrating a person from a computer with XP 32 bit to a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit.

  The user is an administrator on both machines. When I run on the new computer, the end-user profile does not appear as a choice.

  Administrator and my account appear (I am an administrator on all) and the profile of shared appear as choices.

  I don't see what I'm missing. Anyone got any ideas?
