Transfer of Non-Warrenty covered replacement motherboard OEM.

This Christmas, I buy a new motherboard. From the beginning, this motherboard made me question after question. Finally, I decided to return to society, but by train to pack, I accidentally caused some damage to the Commission which has cancelled the guarantee, which forced me to buy the replacement. Is it possible to transfer my OEM license for the new Board of Directors?

As long as the replacement card, sent you was exactly the same motherboard, or if the latter model is no longer available the equivalent manufacturing.

I'm fixing a child 6 years out of warranty HP m7160n Media Center PC with a motherboard failed.  If I replace the MB with a new one, I have software problems?  My goal is just to make a quick motherboard replacement and restore the computer to the owner with that little pain as possible.  What I don't want to do, is to have spend $90 (HP parts store wants $250) on a replacement motherboard and then have to deal with software problems then currently installed programs or the operating system.  It did not come with a Windows Media Center CD, everything is in the HP recovery partition the existing drive.

It's my understanding that even though I am an end user, I should have no problem getting it registered/validated until I replace the motherboard with the same make and model that came in the original system.  Thanks in advance for your answers.

A motherboard with like-for-like replacement should be no. emits either with software, drivers etc although you'll probably have to revalidate.

Problems arise only if the new hardware is substantially different from the original, in particular with the chipset of the card. That being said however in many cases you should be able to boot and install the drivers required during the initial start-up. The only exception is the player interface as this may generate a blue screen INACCESIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE and the only way around this is to pre-install the new drivers on the old system before the change, though if the reason for this change is a dead motherboard that does not help.

I once replaced a mobo with a failed IDE port by plugging a PCI one which enabled him to start, install the drivers for the card, install the drivers for the new Board of Directors and then replaced the Board of Directors.

Regarding the licensing issues, it's a moot point on how you can replace before it ceases to be that a repair is disabled so the EULA. I saw someone claims that he could not get a direct replacement mobo a generic would not fit the case of mark and so it "replaces" the case as well. In other words it did take out the HARD drive and put it into a new clone system. Not permitted under this EULA.

  • HP Pavilion HPE h8-1114 Deskto: replacement motherboard on HP desktop PC

Given there are too many problems with the motherboard of Pegatron IPISB-CU (Carmel2) on a HP PC that is 4 years old as my blu - ray player and dvd player not working not both at the same time, the video card fan died won't spend countless hours searching the same replacement of a video card that will not play new games. Recent maps have new bios UEFI which are not compatible with the map of Pegatron that I and most of the companies do not have BIOS custom to make the card work with the motherboard. I thought about replacing the motherboard and try to push it another 2 years. However I have a few questions about this process.

First, WILL the Intel Intel Core i5 2400 processor currently on the HP PC will work with another different Board or is LOCKED to the current configuration of the motherboard and will not work with any replacement motherboard? How about the memory sticks? I know that Intel makes their products compatible with their own products and the upgrade/replacement by other non approved parts HP will not work with their products.

How will be my Windows 7 installation is affected by the replacement of motherboar? I have to do custom / clean install of Windows 7, or I'll still be able to use the Suite of recovery in the PC to re - install Windows 7?

I'm not planning to upgrade the power supply on the PC because I'm shopping for a low-power video (not the means.) map And I also know that if I update the motherboard, I know that I lose the wireless/Bluetooth card and the card reader because it has a secondary power supply that I did not see in any other configuration of the motherboard.

Or simply scrap system and start from scratch. I can't believe my $900 luck down the drain in less than 4 years.

Upon reflection, while I do not normally give replacement Advisor, these two motherboard will work with the CPU and the memory that is currently in your PC

    Gigabyte GA-H61M-S1

    ASUS P8H67-M LX

Being that they are not current models, so that he may be uneven buy locations.  I will leave that option open.  These form factors (case plug Assembly) is not compatible with the present case.   Check the mounting options in the current case vs buying a new case.

You pay with the exchange for motherboards.

    1. you normally have to reinstall the OS after changing motherboards (different drivers)

2 Microsoft won't provide a new product key.

    3. you can try explainging what you do.

Yes; unless you contact the computer manufacturer and / or do it "as defined by the manufacturer's warranty."

It's the part of this Microsoft Information which concerns you, as you say now that you have an OEM license:

"If the motherboard is upgraded or replaced for other reasons that a defect, then a new computer has been created. Software operating system Microsoft OEM cannot be transferred to the new computer, and the new operating system software license is required. If the motherboard is replaced because it is defective, you need not acquire a new operating system for PC license as long as the replacement motherboard is the same make and model or equivalent/replacement by the manufacturer, as defined by the manufacturer's warranty. »

We have no access to the terms of the warranty of the manufacturer of your computer. It's something you'll have to discuss with them.

Normally, unless there is a common to many users, provided in OEM manufacturing defect cards mothers, you can't replace OEM provided motherboards.

    See you soon.

I have followed closely at least six different sets of instructions to make this transfer, and none of them worked. I am running the latest operating system, the most recent iOs and the most updated iTunes on both systems. Help, please.

    Hello saelon,.

Looks like you have problems of synchronization a ringtone from iTunes on your iPhone. I know how fun it can be to create and use custom ringtones, so I can understand why you would reach for help when he's not working for you.

To find out how to properly synchronize your ringtones to your iPhone, see the article: syncing your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer via a USB - Apple Support

If you still have problems of synchronization of this tone, it could be that the tone is not appear in the iTunes ringtones section and/or is not selected to synchronize. This applies specifically in numbers 4 and 5 of the article above the synchronization.

If your custom ringtones do not appear in the "Tones" section in iTunes, it is possible that they are not in the correct format. If you do not already have, the program that we recommend for creating ringtones for your iPhone is GarageBand, it's available for iOS and Mac OS X. check the resources below for more information on this:

GarageBand 11: Create an iPhone ringtone

    GarageBand for iOS

    GarageBand for Mac OS X

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

  • Replacement motherboard for HP A6030N?

    Hi all

I am using A6030N desktop for five years, had to let it stay on for almost two years.

But this desktop computer little worked fantastically til last week.

Its motherboard might have been fried, but I'm not sure. Here are the symptoms.

    (1) whenever the power cord is connected, everything is turned on even if I did not press the power switch.

Swapping 2) power supply card and remove switch power connector has not helped. Whatever I do, he repeated #1.

I was looking for a replacement motherboard, Nettle3-GL8E(ECS MCP61PM-HM), but the lowest price was $ 60, quite expensive for the old model.

I'm not good in material stuffs, I have no idea what to do. Yes, is there an alternative AM2 Motherboard recommendable for this office? Or is it safe to use any motherboard AM2 running? There will not be any problem of BIOS?

    Please let me know

    Thank you!

The other disadvantage is that the background shield of basket I/O (where the audio and other ports are) will not match. This means that the desktop computer PC will always be open to the back of the motherboard for dust to enter.  It is not a big problem if you want to combine a system.

Any Micro-ATX: 24,4 cm (9.6 inches) motherboard x 24.4 cm (9.6 inches) will adapt and sealants should correspond to those in the case. Make sure that the power supply in the original system has all the required connectors for the new mobo...

    HafizulHazmiey,

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p6645d. Based on these specifications, your computer was presented for sale or 06-Sep-2010 in some countries / regions in the Asia-Pacific market. When your computer was service by HP or an authorized service center, the replacement motherboard should have been tattooed with etc. series, model of your computer. Without that information, software support HP and HP Recovery may have problems to do their job. Please contact the HP support in your area. IF you can not get a positive result, please PM (private message) me and I'll try to help your with the question.

  • Replacing motherboard NE56R27U gateway is not well...

My son NE56R27U had a motherboard failure (a short circuit somewhere on the Board, could not isolate), so I bought a new gateway/Acer.  Well, the jury arrived and I replaced it in the laptop, and now it does not recognize the hard drive.  Before start asking you, I have two sons, and each has the same laptop, so I was able to determine that the HARD disk is perfectly fine - I can put it in another laptop and it works perfectly.

I can also use the recovery disc, it does not recognize it.

When the computer starts, the home screen now says 'Acer' instead of 'Gateway'... then I fear that it may be BIOS problems...

I looked in the BIOS (and compared to the work laptop computer) and found that, while the laptop work said it is an entry door and carries the serial number, the laptop with the new Board of Directors said it is an Acer and has a fake serial number (123456789) in the BIOS.  I think that this could be part of the problem.  If I remember well, the recovery disk is 'good' for the specific laptop, and I guess he uses the serial number to check the disc "belongs" to this computer.

So, this is likely problem, and how to update these data?  I can pull the latest updates to the BIOS on the site of the bridge, but they are packaged to run Windows.

    I would appreciate any ideas...

    Gail

Replacement motherboard resolved the problem.  The computer started immediately with the logo of the gateway, the HARD drive was recognized, Windows starts.  In addition, the serial number that is now on the computer appears in the BIOS.  Then... send this bad mutha... back on board...

  • HP Pavilion Elite e9180t - replacement motherboard

So some time, HP has done a service to replace motherboards on defective Elite systems.  There was even a Web site configuration to help with it (www.hpelitedesktopsettlement.com).

Unfortunately, the site is no longer active and all links to HP's internal documentation are not valid as well.

One of my clients has long lived with the random blue screens, and we're finally going through the review process it.

Who should I contact to get this replaced motherboard?

Please see the information available on the HP Pavilion Elite Desktop Class Action Lawsuit settlement on the LWSEP for the HP Pavilion Elite e9150t, e9180f, e9180t, m9600t, m9650f, e9280f, e9280t and computers e9290f. "If the court approves the proposed settlement, HP will post on its website a notice on repair program with instructions on how to make eligible arrangements to receive a repair. You will have 90 days after this notice was posted to contact HP for repair repair. "It seems that HP has posted the LWSEP notice on or around 12/01/2011 and that's why you got until about 01/03/2012 to take advantage of the LWSEP.

Previously, I suggested that people "contact HP customer support directly and see if they will replace the Commission under this program has expired." Please post back with your results. If you are not successful, I can try to contact HP on your part.
