  Yes, the product key works independently of the architecture (32- or 64-bit), so you can use the same product key used to activate 32-bit Windows 8 Pro with 64-bit Windows 8 Pro.

  In order to exercise my rights to downgrade to Windows 8 Pro for Windows 7 Pro (or business Vista) I need a valid key of Windows 7 Pro. How can I get this key? When I called support license (number of times) I was told that I should use a key of an existing facility, or buy a new one. I explained that by using an existing key (assuming I had a) would have this key reported by Microsoft as invalid, and that buying a whole new license did not exercise my rights under the terms of the license. Time and time again support teams have been unable to provide a solution to this problem.

  Hi James, I have been informed by Microsoft that if you get a copy of Windows 7, even if it has been used or granted to another user you can load this copy and use the product key and then call Microsoft explaining you exercise your right of demotion and they will give you an authorization code for the product key that you give them.

  What I was not able to do is to correctly load Windows 7, my PC comes up with an error. I wish Microsoft or could someone tell me the exact steps like those that Microsoft have highlighted is incorrect!

  I have not noticed that the license is good if active before a date which has since long (a few times in February). The license has been accepted at the entrance and the Media Center software installed, when I went to add new features to Windows 8 (I had already updated the machine to Windows 8 Pro.

  In fact, I don't want to buy the upgrade at this point.   Hi, I recently bought a 600 SFF G2 which was provided with Win7 - 64 Pro, but which was supposed to include a license to win 10 Pro. The device comes with a DVD of Win7 and a HP DVD driver, but instead of a Win10 DVD or license, they included a phamplet who said I was eligible to receive a copy of the recovery of Windows 10 media and HP driver support. I was insutructed to save my computer and ask my copy. I registered my computer, but it wasn't at all clear as to how I could get my copy of each media (driver Win10 and HP). Can someone give me a link or URL that will allow me to get these media (which I assume must be free of charge)? And the Win10 Pro OS will have its own key, or is the key to good machine for Win7 Pro and Win10 Pro? Any help would be greatly appreciated because I was told initially that they would be included in my PC:

  The task you're trying to run is possible if you have formatted the drive in which you installed Windows 8 Pro and then install Windows 8 Pro on another computer and use the same product key to activate the operating system. You will only be able to activate using the same product key, if you try to install the same version of Windows operating system. This activation can be done by phone.
