Transfer the PowerConnect switch settings to N3000

Hello

I am trying to copy paste the settings currently, we run in a for a new N3048 PowerConnect 6448.

Unfortunately, it seems that many commands use the same syntax they used to have. CLI reference guide did not help much, because it is not compare or tell me what commands are the same for PowerConnect to N3000.

The I am trying to copy the parameters are as follows (in bold lines that receive questions):

! Description of the system "Powerconnect 6248, 3.2.0.7, VxWorks 6.5.

! Version of the software system 3.2.0.7

  • Changes to the PowerConnect switch model?

The site lists currently is no longer the series 5500, 6200, 7000 or 8100 PowerConnect switches in the Affairs of small/medium section of networking. Looking for a watch 5548 no product. Everything that is listed is the 2800, 3500 and Force10 product lines.

Is this just a mistake of the site or are these templates being deleted/replaced?

It is a mistake, these models are not gradually.  They are visiting the area of big business to www.dell.com.

    > Go to www.dell.com.

    > click "for large companies.

    > click on "servers, storage, network.

    > click on 'Networking '.

You have reason, allowing these to be included in the area of medium-sized enterprises, and they will probably have to be.

Thank you all for your quick responses. I have tracked down the files and folders necessary and think that I should have no problem when the time comes. Thank you once again.

  • List of SNMP OID of the PowerConnect switches

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone could can give advice on this survey, like all my research and investigations have not until this product no result.

I conclude on a significant deployment for a customer who has a mixture of 80xx PowerConnect 62xx, 55xx and M8024K blade, M6348 switches. All switches are deployed and operational, and we are now trying to set the SCOM server to use SNMP to retrieve events etc. of the switches.

the problem is that I couldn't find SNMP OID anywhere to concerned, switches that are required. the events that we want to keep an eye on relate to connect the downs, lag switch, battery, authentication and critical failures for the models.

There is no requirement for the consumption of its use, of temperature, fan or CPU power or memory, so they are not needed.

Are there SCOM management packs that might help out here?

Any advice or pointers will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Richter,

Looks like you just need to install traps to send alerts to your SCOM server.  Normally, to see the things that you listed as changes to links, lag, batteries, authentication failures and other critical changes of your switches, it is not necessary ask an OID.  All the these can be controlled automatically traps.  The processor, memory, temp, fan and power you listed are in a different category, because they are all sensors in the switch that can send a trap when a threshold is reached, but can also be queried for exact measurements.  Traps are easier to use than to the vote an OID and let you keep an eye on the areas that you mentioned.  To install traps, set your community on your switches string and the management server, enable all traps and configure your management as your recipient of the host server.  The commands are:

(config) #snmp - known private community server

(config) #snmp - server enable traps all

    (config) #snmp - private host 10.10.10.5 Server

I hope it's useful for you.

  • PowerConnect switch and Cisco routers

I have 4 Cisco routers connected to our Dell Powerconnect 7024. This is a laboratory environment where I'm having every act of router (2 per site) as a WAN gateway for these 2 sites.

    Site 1                                                                                                                           Site 2

    2 3 router

    PC - Dumb_switch PowerConnect Dumb_switch client - PC Client

    Router 1 router 4

There are a few other Vlans on the switch with connected devices. With the current configuration, these two sites can communicate with any other "site" connected to the switch on each route, with the exception of the other.

Directly connected to the router interfaces are in trunk mode, as it's the only way I could get the dell to connect with the Cisco. Ive read in other threads that the general mode is usually suggested on the powerconnect switch, but had no luck with this configuration.

    Router 1---> item in gi1/0/15 (vlan 10)

    Router 2---> item in gi1/0/14 (vlan 11)

    Router 3---> item in gi1/0/22 (vlan 16)

    Router 4---> article gi1/0/23 (vlan 14)

Example: a ping from Site 1 can reach int 22 of the switch without problem, but I can't ping jump according to R3. As all the other devices on this switch can talk to these sites, I'm not clear if the problem is my config switch dell or routers. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You could probably create a static route in Router 1 router 4 with a priority which is better than the other options, so we're going unless the link is down.

  • Transit VLAN on the PowerConnect 6224

I need help to sort out a problem with routing on a 6224 we have configured to act as a vlan transit for one of our branches.  The general idea is 8.143 is the vlan of transit, of 8.144 is our PC LAN 8.145 will be our VOIP lan.

We have installed this switch with our WAN provided last week, but had to get out. Traffic seemed to happen to the WAN providers to our transit interface VLAN (172.22.143.254) wasn't going anywhere.  It's symptoms

    (1) we could ping from 172.22.144.x to 172.22.145.x and 172.22.143.x

    (2) we could ping from 172.22.145.x to 172.22.143.x and 172.22.144.x

    (3) we could ping from 172.22.143.x to 172.22.144.x and 172.22.145.x

    (4) if I was plugged into the 6224 on with an address 143.x I could ping our remote control does site at 172.22.8.x no problem but not 144.x or 145.x

    (5) 172.22.8.x, I couldn't ping 144.x or 145.x or 143.1 (I could ping 143.254 which is EXTENDED to suppliers to our switch network interface)

Here's the running to the switch configuration.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:

It seems that port 1 must be in the VLAN 143, not general mode access mode. You already have a static route in place on the PowerConnect switch which directs traffic to the next break in the network. But it may be necessary for a place on the Cisco that allows to direct traffic to the PowerConnect switch.

Here is a good post to look through also.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones ONLY transfer Contacts between Blackberry's without all the data and settings again BB

Anyone know if there is a way ONLY to transfer all my contacts from one Blackberry to another Blackberry without transferring all the data and settings to the other Blackberry with the device switch Wizard?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

If you have a full backup of the old Blackberry, use this .ipd file to restore only the contacts on the new device.

If your contacts are up to date in Outlook do a one-way Outlook for contacts device synchronization.

    Thank you

  • The files and settings to remove the old computer when you make a file and the transfer settings Wizard?

The files and settings to remove the old computer when you make a file and the transfer settings Wizard?

    Hi KaraDay,

When you use the files and Settings Transfer Wizard in Windows XP, it only transfers a copy of the files and settings on the computer.

How to use the "files and Settings Transfer Wizard" in Windows XP

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/293118

  • Big problem with the files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

Basically, what has happened here, it is that I did a backup of the files on the computer of a friend with the wizard to transfer to an external hard drive, but I started on the old computer and for one reason or another never get the CD Wizard so I thought that I was OK.  Don't think.  The idea was to have the backup files in case I needed to reformat the drive hard, I ended up reformatting the drive and when I finally got the installation more done with trying to run the file and Settings Wizard and when I chose the external drive that files were on and then subsequently the folder and it said that it did not contain information.  So basically I'm stuck with a complete record of .dat files, and the wizard will not let me extract the files off the drive.  Is there anyway that I can return information about the files, or I'm totally finished.

Everything worked ok that it proved just that he did not want to me to choose the actual file as a path, but the hard drive.  It was just something simple that I pop up.  Thanks for the help but I don't know that it would have been the next problem if I didn't had not updated the operating system first.

  • Easy Transfer Wizard error: there is not enough available disk space to transfer your files and settings. The download file size is 40 GB and I have a C: drive that says he has 280 GB free and a D: drive has 298 GB free.

I made a successful backup of the Easy Transfer of files on an external hard drive.  Previously, this computer was in Vista for more than 1 year without any problem.

After you perform a custom installation (I wanted to start with a clean install) of Win7, everything works.  I installed the Windows/Office updates and all my other program files.  When I run the transfer Assistant, it locates the 'old computer' transfer file and reads OK, showing users and the size of the 40.1 GB file transfer.  When I click the button forward, I get error: there is not enough available disk space to transfer your files and settings.  However, I have more than 280 GB free on my C: drive.

This disc is watching him and what should I do to work around this problem.  If I can't get my files/settings back, I'll be VERY unhappy customer.

I've just passed through even - WET previous Dell PC running Windows 7 Ultimate to HP with Windows 7 Home Premium. The Belkin Easy Transfer cable help.
WET said not enough space even if the hard drive is twice the size.
I clicked on "Advanced" and noticed that WET strives also transfer Dell factory image from the recovery partition and the HP recovery partition was smaller.
I unticked (unchecked) files recovery partitio on old computer and everything is going very well from hand to hand.
    Hope that helps!

  • Transfer the 'Image' settings between video clips

    Hello community

    Concerns: First items 12

If I have a project with various clips in my time line and you want to transfer settings (color, tone, gamma, brightness, contrast, etc) from one clip to another - how can I do? Rather than address each item one by one, I'm looking for an easy way to transfer the settings of other clips. I am aware of the fact that it works with effects and I also know that I could use a track of effects affecting the full clip - but I'm specifically looking for a solution concerning the adjustments only (i.e. seetings for photo quality).

Sometimes, I cut a clip in various parts only to find out later that I would like to adjust the image quality. Instead of a single source file, however, I now have various clips in front of me and I therefore apply the same settings identical to several clips (there is more no 'a source file")

Does anyone know how to do? Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks and regards /abel

Right click on the clip you want to copy attributes, then select copy.

Then select the clips on your timeline that you want to apply these attributes for, right-click and select Copy effects and settings.

    Easy cheese!

  • Is it possible to transfer the PSE11 camera raw settings?

I found a thread where it says that it is not possible to open multiple images in Camera Raw to PSE - 11.  But I would like to transfer the settings I make to a single image in camera raw in another image.  Is this possible?

    Thank you

    Skyzoomer

You can open several files camera raw in PES 11 camera raw (7.4), but I take it from your other post in the camera raw forum

your willingness to open several files in 11 EPS jpeg camera raw.

One way I can think of offhand is open your first jpeg, then on JPEG files that follow use previous Conversion in the context menu in camera raw.

  • How can I transfer the Firefox profile from one user to another on my pc (win XP)

At work, I use Firefox as my default browser.
In my business, the COMPUTER administrator installed new system s/w on the companys main server and changed user names.
So now firefox lost information (profile) I already had on my pc.
Now in the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\", I have 2 users.
The one with the old username and the other with the new user name
Also I can not any connection any longer in my pc with the old username because the administrator has also changed the domain name.
How can I transfer the profile that I had (with a lot of useful bookmarks etc.) of the former user name for the new user name?
    Thank you in advance!

  • I lost my iPhone 5 and the "Cell" switch is off. How can I turn on it from another phone?

I lost my iPhone 5 and the "Cell" switch is off. How can I turn back on from another phone so I can activate "Find my phone"?

You can not. There is no method to remote turn on/off all the settings on the phone. The only thing you can do is put it in mode lost through the computer and it remains to be seen if the device connects to a known Wi - Fi network. Otherwise, you'll just go out and pick up the old-fashioned way. You have it in Mode plane, or you just disable cellular data?

  • Where is the wireless switch?

My mother has an Acer M3900 and she accidentally turned off the wireless switch.  The manual is useless and here on Acer.com it is said to use FN + F3 but his computer isn't a FN key.

What other combination can I try?  I tried to find the setting, but it is a Windows 7 computer and doesn't have this feature.

right click on the ethernet icon, choose open network and sharing Center click on change adapter settings on the left side, is your wifi adapter listed?

If it is greyed out, right click and choose enable
