Transfer the software to another PC
Hello
I have a retail copy of Microsoft Office XP on a PC that is defective and must be disarmed to screw up the hard drive.
I can reinstall my Office XP on my new machine and, if so, do I need to do to make sure that it is "registered" as a copy is legitimate?
Eric
Yes, you can install Office on your new machine, assuming that the new machine is running an operating system that supports. (For example, Office XP is not supported in Vista or Windows 7 although there may be workarounds).
It should operate smoothly. If you have a problem, use phone activation method.

My subscription to the cloud was missing, but I'm still able to transfer the software to a new computer?
The creative cloud FAQ page at this address: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html
Please see: what happens to my benefits if I decide to stop my subscription? as well as other issues:
If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to benefits free creative cloud, and if you have saved your work on your computer, you will continue to have access to these files on your own device. You will no longer have access to creative cloud desktop applications or most of the services which are components of a creative cloud membership and your authorized cloud storage will be reduced to 2 GB.
When you subscribe:
You can have the creative cloud installed and signed in on two computers as long as you don't use it on one at a time. Download and install as you did on the first computer, sign in to your Adobe account on the Adobe using your Adobe ID website, download the desktop app from clouds, then download the software. Sign on a computer that should not be used: log in and log out of the desktop Adobe Creative Cloud application
You can download the creative application of Cloud from here:
Creative cloud help | Creative cloud desktop. After you install the creative Cloud desktop application, you will need to sign in with a login password and Adobe. Then you can install applications. Transfer the Software Photoshop CS6 extended for Windows Edition student from a Windows PC to a Mac
I bought Photoshop CS6 extended for Windows Edition for my PC online student year last of Curry of PC World. I was told, at the time of purchase, that I would be able to transfer this software from my PC to a Macbook. I've now bought the Macbook and would like to transfer the software on my old Windows PC on my new Macbook. Please could I have assistance for that purpose. thank you!
You don't mention who told you you can transfer the software, but I suspect it wasn't someone from Adobe. Versions are platform-specific, so there is little chance of the installation of the version of Windows on a Mac without the use of a Windows emulator any. Since it is CS6, you have the possibility to request an exchange of platform. See the following...
Product change or the language platform
-----------------------------------You can exchange languages/platforms for a newer version product if you follow the instructions on the following link:

Hi all
Recently I bought a mac, and I was wondering if there is a way to transfer the software (photoshop, indesign, and illustrator) I have on my laptop windows on my mac?
any help would be appreciated
Thank you!
That depends, in part, on which version of the Creative Suite, you have.
If it's CS6 then you can exchange languages/platforms for a product of more recent version if you follow the instructions on the following link:
l http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/Policy-Pricing/Order-Product-Platform-Language-swap.htm
If it is older your option would be to use an emulator Windows on the Mac and install it using that.

Is there a way to transfer the software from one computer to another?
When I bought Photoshop, I downloaded the software on my laptop, which no longer works. I want to transfer in my office. I have no more drive. How would I go to do this?
You can certainly install on your desktop. Just make sure you have the serial for Photoshop key or any Adobe product, else the app will move into the trial.
You can download most applications old Adobe from the link below.

Its a one-stop-shop for the installers for the old Adobe products.
Hope that helps!

Transfer the information to another hard drive
# 1 I am operating Windows xp pro and you want to add an additional hard drive. I would like to transfer all the data to the new hard drive. Is it possible to copy data from the old to the new drive without transferring the operating system? I want to format the old drive and reuse, but I don't want to lose all data.
I'm not very smart computing and would like any help I can get.
#2 I would like to install the new operating system on a partition itself, is it possible? How can I do this?
I don't have a rw drive, I have a dvd drive and a floppy drive.
I run a computer HP xw4100 with 1.5 GB of memory, Windows xp pro sp3-operating system.
Thanks for the help.
I note you have a desktop computer and you have posted this in a forum of the laptop, but I think I can help you. Here's the Quickspecs, incidentally:
http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/11604_na/11604_na.html
With a desktop computer (even a workstation like yours), it is much easier than with a laptop. Just put in the new drive (I guess you understand jumpering with drives ATA/IDE and ID devices if you're dependencies a scsi disk) and format from Windows XP. Now copy the data you want to save on the new disk. You won't be able to separate programs on the new drive if that's what you had in mind. just data files. For example, you can put all your Powerpoint presentations on the new disk, but you cannot move MS Office there. It is linked in the BONE and must be reinstalled.
If you want to be sure just copy everything except the Windows folder and the Program Files folder to the new drive.
Yes, you can install all the operating system on its own partition, but be careful to choose to install the new software on another drive top and you may want to move my Documents on the second drive for example. This will keep the data and the separate operating system, which is what I assume you want to accomplish. Let us know if you need help here.
During the installation of Windows XP, you can create partitions and choose which use the partition to the OS.

start down load an audio book on MP3 players from sony at the local library. They use overdrive and I followed the instructions and downloads of the book for the overdrive media console software. But when I try to transferred it to the player it comes up with an error = x8005400t-license does not exist. Overdrive suggest the updated media player which I did and then delete the files temporary Internet in firefox, not sure how and the library could not do that either. Thanks for any help
Hi malcolm_henry,
From what you describe, you receive an error message when you run OverDrive and attempt to transfer the music files on your SONY reader, are - this correct?
If so, the issue is probably with OverDrive, and you should contact their support of clarification on what means the error message:
Please let us know if this is not the case.
