  InDesign CS 6 works very well for Mac mini in MacBookPro it always crash on placing a file on the InDesign Document.

  I tried:

  (1) to uninstall and reinstall CS 6

  (2) using different accounts including admin

  Troubleshooting 3) as following:

  ' a) Trash preferences (cmd-opt-shift-control keys for InDesign starting).

  Corrupt preferences (see above), or maybe the permissions on the folders that contain the preferences are such that InDesign cannot write correctly for them. (it sometimes happen).

  (b) by deleting sub folders: before you remove the sub directories/files, please make a backup (just to the trunk).  Exit design and try to delete the following files/directories (InDesign recreates them initially to the top):

  ~/Library/application support/Adobe/Adobe InDesign CS5.5

  InDesign ~/library/caches/Adobe

  ~/Library/Caches/com.Adobe.InDesign

  InDesign ~/Library/preferences/Adobe

  ~/Library/preferences/com.Adobe.InDesign.plist

  ~/Library/preferences/com.Adobe.InDesign.plist.lockfile

  ~/Library/saved application State/com.adobe.InDesign.savedState

  Note: The user library directory hides under MacPro/Lion. You can get there in the Finder by pressing Option and then go to the menu (other ways are too thin).

• InDesign CC: Text in editable text fields in the process of disappearance after export

  I'm having a problem of text of text editable in endangered fields after you export the document as an interactive pdf. I created the text that should be editable in acrobat with InDesign CC. Thus, for example, I want to have a field editable text that said "I am Marie." I want users to have the ability to change from "Married" to "Tom" or "Ben" in Acrobat. So the pdf should have a form of editable text, saying the phrase "I am Mary" when users open the PDF in Acrobat. However, aafter export, the remains of fields of text, but the text itself "I am Mary." disappeared. I do not understand why this is happening because the text is there when you preview in the Preview SWF window in InDesign.

  As far as I know, to have a form pre-filled text [I am Marie] appear in the text field, you must set the default value of the text field in Acrobat. You can do this by selecting the field property > Options > Default Value

• May not substitute the text format in the former document InDesing CS4...

  I opened an InDesign Cs5 document in InDesign Cs4, I created my own paragraph styles, but in trying to apply the text in the document, it will not take the police, just the colors.

  I tried to open the copy in word and Notepad, re - format, then copy and paste again in my InDesign document with no luck. I've used InDesign for many years and I never had this problem before, anyone know how to fix this?

  This really, really looks like there is a style of character applied to this text as well.

  (This style of character can even be selected as default, so whenever you are trying to overwrite everything that you do is re - apply all over again.)

• Export multiple files .ase of the indesign document

  I have an indesign document that has approximately 1 000 palettes of colors on it.

  There are 5 colors in each color scheme and each pallet is made using 5 boxes of color (see attached template).

  I need to export each of these palettes of colors as indivdual .ase files.

  The only way I can do now is to copy and paste a range in a blank indesign document so I can identify the 5 colors used in the chart, select these 5 colors and then export it as an .ase file.

  Is there a way faster and more reasonable to do?

  Sorry, but I can't help you there. I would have found a different way from the outset. 5000 samples in one document is not exactly what I would call effective.

  You can try to copy and paste objects into an empty file and then export from there.

  I'm trying to edit text on a picture and it has a background, I don't want to lose the bottom.  How can I do this using paint?

  If image launched initially with a word in the background, you can't change it with paint. You can write a note on top of it so you cover, but you can consider using Adobe Photoshop.

• HP 6525 all in one will only print the first document in the queue

  I use a HP 6520 all-in-one printer with my MAC OS x 10.6.8.  The problem is when I print a document the printer will work normally but if I try to print another document, that it won't work at all.  When I put them in queue printer it shows by the percentage that the printer is always finishing the first document (which has already been printed) and the second document is in the queue waiting for the first to be filled.  The only way to move forward with the next impression is to remove both documents in the queue. I have installed the latest driver and updates and unplugged & repluged the printer and restarted the computer.  Would appreciate any help

  I created a color illustration in Illustrator and saved as .ai file.  I'm working on a black and white manual that I created in InDesign.

  When I placed the illustration in my InDesign document, it looks blurry.  When I export my InDesign document as a .pdf file seems correct. When I print the pages with the illustration, it seems correct to my PDF document.

  Question - why the illustration linked in my InDesign air document blurred?

  I have this strange error that refreshes the frame about every 10 seconds.

  When I select a font for example it refreshes until I can select a. Even with all of the other tools.

  I disabled the "preflight document", but which is not solve it.

  It occurs only with a particular document.

  Fortunately not with all documents, so there must be some sort of setting or perhaps even a police...

  I hope someone has some advice to know where to look to get rid of this problem.

  I'm a wedding photographer who uses Indesign CS5 to create albums. All my photos are initially PSDs in the album. At the end of the album, I would convert PSD files in JPEG format and then be updated in InDesign Album. How can I do this?

  You can batch convert them in Photoshop and save them to a new folder. As long as the file names are the same, you can connect them easily using the repeat order for file in the links Panel. There is a choice there be reprinted under the same name with a new extension.

  But my $0.02 worth is that it won't do a thing for the size of the InDesign file and you will need to store the PSD in any case... which means this actually will increase the amount of storage space you need.

  It wasn't a new document. A document existing, just try to change the size.

  In any case, it's working now. Copied and pasted everything in the new document. Suspect that the original file may be damaged.

• In Indesign cc 2014, you cannot search more on a selection or a text box. Only in the entire document. Strange.

  Something must be wrong on your end work as always for me here. Maybe try trashing preferences?
