Transposed to printed output levels

I use RoboHelp HTML 5.0.2.

When I generate the printed output I've got under the title of the section Heading 1 and heading 2 as a major subdivision in the topic.

The problem is that some title 1 and title 2 are to be transferred to the output. for example, I have a few topic titles coming out like title 2 with one or more of the heading being changed 2 corresponding to Heading 1 in the section.

(Title 1 and title 2 seems correct in the true Code - but I don't know much about it).

You get the same result if you use the existing SAC, Sytle mapping or a Word template on page 4 of the putting in place print options for the output.

Is it possible to stop what is happening?

OK, experiment a little, (based in part on Peter remember the effect of "Levels of position").

I implemented a simple hierarchy with TOC book a parent at level 1, a child book TOC level 2 and a child (children) book TOC to level 3. Each level has a related topic.

With clamping position levels not verified that level headings have been as follows:

Table of contents volume 1: title 1
Table of contents volume 2: section 2
Book 3 of the table of contents: section 3

Level 1 section: section 2 of
Level 2 topic: topic 3
Level 3 section: Title 4

With maintaining level position verified that level headings have been as follows:

Table of contents volume 1: title 1
Table of contents volume 2: section 2
Book 3 of the table of contents: section 3

Level 1 section: title 1
Level 2 heading: heading 1
Level 3 section: title 1

Ideally, I want the print output to have all the books table of contents with the same header and all subjects with the same header. Then I can use a word template customized so that all book TOC names have the same appearance in Word, Ditto all topic names will look the same in Word.

The way I found that I could accomplish this is to go to the second screen of the wizard to print SSL and use the arrows to put all the books in the hierarchy to the level of the root (level 1). All subjects were then left at level 2. I left the possibility of maintaining the position not controlled.

The result was:

Table of contents volume 1: title 1
Table of contents volume 2: section 1
Book 3 of the table of contents: 1 title

Level 1 section: section 2 of
Level 2 heading: heading 2 of
Level 3 section: title 2

Similarly, when I put the title 2 in the headings to indicate major void divisions, they were all converted to heading 3 in the print output.

The other thing I did was to import the required custom Word template (form 4 of the wizard SSL) and make sure that all my other styles have been mapped across. For example, I made sure that 'Blue "BOLD" ' in the candidate countries for RoboHelp mapped to "" BOLD"blue" in the word template. If there is a style to the CCS (such as "" BOLD"- black') that is not in the template there is a tendency so that it can be mapped to a heading level.

This method is not ideal because TOC books are no longer in a hierarchy, but heading styles remain consistent, which gives a consistent look in the output of Print SSL.

(My goal is to get printed output that looks good with a minimum requirement to store it).

  • calibration of Agilent N5183 Signal generator for specific output level

    Hello

Newbie to labview environment!  I'm writing a VI to calibrate Agilent N5183 to a specific output.  For example if I want to have-4.5 dBm output of my installation (as stated on my electricity meter) I'll have to set the sig gen to say 7 dBm given my losses, etc.

How can pointers, I start to weld it?  I think I'll have to create a while loop to check the levels of power, but I don't know how to increment and decrement the amplitude of sig gen and stop at the desired level!

Thanks in advance for any help.

    3. adjust the pout to sign Gen to the desired level, while controlling the power power meter

Why is it that step at all?  It is not clear from your description, what makes the difference between the reading of the gauge and the output level of the sigGen parameter.

I have done many times.  Especially in the RF field, you want your tests to have a certain level of power to the object to be measured.  We therefore have to adjust your signal generator to compensate losses in cables, couplers, etc.

To do this, all you have to do is set your generator to the desired level.  Then measure with the power meter.  Subtract the measurement of the desired and add that much more to the output.  Repeat if necessary.  I advise to use a conditional TO the loop so that you can easily set a limit to how many times adjust you (I've been in infinite loops due to the weird situations here).

  • me not saying the printer ink levels

How can I get the computer to let me know the printer ink levels?

Technical issues do not belong in the forum comments so I moved your post to the windows 'Hardware and drivers' forum.  Always include your version of Windows when you post.

Monitoring ink levels is a function of the printer driver.  Contact the manufacturer of the printer for a solution.

  • Illustrator CS3 - Print - output - allow me to select color separations

    Hello

I'm printing for the first time.  The process of preparing should be really simple right?  Separate the layers of color, using Illustrator, then print each layer on transparent sheets.  Well, I'm about to lose my mind.

The image is CMYK, it is a unique spot color (I think) which is red and the contours are black.  The printer is a Canon ix6500.

I can't separate the colors in Illustrator CS3?  Why?  When you select Print > output > Mode > it won't allow me to select the halftone colors.

I tried to solve this problem by selecting the printer > Adobe Postscript and PPD > Canon ix6500 series.  It allows me to select the colors dithered, but then it will not print, it only saves it in PDF format and print such what.

Help, please!  Any advice would be appreciated!  I'm going out of my mind here!

    Hey everybody!

I found the solution! So here are the steps, I hope people out there could benefit from this :-)

This is what worked for me using a Mac and a non-postscript (Canon iX6540), Illustrator CS6 printer, PostScript known as Scribus downloaded software.  My drawing was created in Illustrator and all colors have been Pantone solid coated spot colors.

These are the specifications that must be selected in the print dialog box:

    General

    • Predefined print: custom
    • Printer: Adobe PostScript file
    • PPD: Lisanet PDFwriter

    Output

    • Mode: Separations (host-based)
    • Ink Options panel can present spot colors that appear in your design.

Then you save it :-)  This will save as a PostScript file.  To open it, you will need a software PostScript.  One who seems to have done the trick is to Scribus.

Thanks for any help at all!  Entry everyone ends by helped me to find the solution!

  • Printed output problem-RH 9 print drop-down text above its parent text. It serves out below!

Hmmm I found a problem of bad potentionally for our printed output.

Our documentation project uses many links of menu drop-down (hyper links where the text below the link in the next paragraph). Documentation was written with her expected the text to come out under the text.

For example, I have this in my HR propject. When I saw, or when I compile in our output HTML Help (chm), it looks like this:

    A string of text

Chain of that text a drop-down list appears here

    Text String B

String B drop down text appears here

    Text of string C

String C drop-down text appears here

However, to the printed output, it produces like this:

Chain of that text a drop-down list appears here

String B drop down text appears here

String C drop-down text appears here

    A string of text

    Text String B

    Text of string C

This is my first generate output printed in RH 9. Previously, we were using 7 HR and aroused as planned, with the drop-down list text to come below.

Is anyone else seeing this? Do you know a setting or something that might be able to solve this problem?

Ok. I figured out how to fix it. This was happening in HR 7 too now that I think about it. I hope Adobe will solve this problem, because it's pretty hard to do workaround.

Here's the background on my project and the solution to my problem.

Background. It is a project to help straight decompiled html (chm) with high hydrostatic pressure. It was initially generated by RoboHelp 7. I am important in RH 9 to try and generated a textbook printed of this help file. So if you want to reproduce this on your end, create a test project in HR 7 with a drop down link or two. To generate a .chm file. Decompile the chm file and create a file with a LOT of HTML or MS Help Workshop hhp. Open the high hydrostatic pressure inside RH 9. Without change or save all the topics in HR immediately try to make printed output. You will see that the output below.

Workaround. You must open the assigned topic in the WYSIWYG editor and do a simple (such as adding a space and delete), and then save them then the subject. When you generate the printed output, the drop down links put the image below the parent text. The problem is I have thousands of subjects in this project and it takes FOREVER to solve this problem. I had to resort to a macro during the night opens on each topic, makes a minor change and record before printing. I really hope that there is a way better around this in the future.

  • Problem with the conditional tags in printed output

I write help files for different versions of our software - version 4 and 5 using Robohelp for HTML 5.0.2

There is a large overlap of information between the two, so I use a help file joint with marked topics that are specific to version 4 or version 5.

I went out and then use with 'NOT v4' or "NOT v5" as the conditional tags.

It works fine in the HTML output. However, I encountered problems with the printed output.

Ideally, I want the help file using the option "generate the single document" because it means that the document produced, without the single output field. However, when I do, the tags conditional build fail and I get a piecemeal result.

If I generate the document by using the option 'generate individual documents' tags conditional build work, but I get the only field I want to avoid.

Does anyone know how to get the conditional tags to work when the option "generate the single document" is selected?

Pierre and HKabaker - thanks for your comments.

I think I have the answer now.

In the properties for the SSL Print dialog, the third screen is the dialogue of section layout. I had removed some sections in the right pane (for example, the default title page, glossary, and index) because I did not want them to appear in the final printed output. It seems that without these sections present conditional compilation tags do not work correctly when the document is released by using the option 'generate a single document ".

I started again with a "blank" printing of SSL version. Conditional constructions using the "generate a single document" appear to work fine when I leave the dialog layout intact section.

I can even do the conditional tags build an injustice because the option "generate a single document" (after that I made the changes in the dialog layout section) seems to be that some of the chapters in the table of contents and omitting others.

  • Colors of the images.jpg/.gif the. CHM and true (4BPP/8BPP) levels of grey in printed output?

I do all my HR WinHelp first, then exit and Word 2003 document is created. I want to keep the color images in the CHM and that a majority of images become true monochrome gray in the Word doc.

Yes, Word has an optopn of the OWL 'gray levels' for each image, but it leaves the 'channels' (24 bits per pixel) color and so our color copier prints always page using all colors CMYK (and it never seems to get 'real' grays anyway...)

If I could somehow get the images to monochrome grayscale in HR, where there are already ones colors - I could save it as 'monochrome' and 'color' outputs.

Ideas, tips, comments, suggestions, or batch files?

    Thank you!

On reflection... it's the Fiery controller in the copy machine that makes all decide that what are the components, and unfortunately "it's not my Department', so at this point, the question is moot - this isn't an HR issue.

    Hello pminnie,

I wrote two articles that should help you with your question:

    1. you can manually check the approximate levels of ink from the printer itself:

On the printer control panel, press the arrow down ( ) to select the ink level , then press OK . The ink levels displayed with gauges for all four ink colors.

  • HP 6500 A plus: How can I check the printer ink levels

I can't find information about levels of ink on my printer.  I followed the instructions recommending I go to control panel and click on Printing Preferences, and then services but do not see services in the menu to the title of printing services.  What I am doing wrong?

    Hi Beverly,.

Please follow the steps by which you should be able to get the ink cartridge ink level.

    1. move the arrow of the mouse to the right of the screen and you will find the search option.
    2. click on it, and then search for the printer model number (HP 6500 has more) and find you it in the list and click on the printer.

    3. There will be an assistant to HP printer pop - up that will give you the option of ink that are listed there.

Let me know if you are able to access the wizard from the printer and check the level.

  • lines of NI8451 output level translator 3.3 to 5V on SPI

    Hi all

If I use a NI8451 to talk to my DUT via SPI. I notice that the highest level of SPI tension disc is 3.3V. However, my NI DAQ SPI lines are each connected to a UPS (74HC14) on my HAD and my ups output is given me some odd readings. I think that the 3.3V signal generated by the 8451 is not always interpreted as a TTL high signal by the ups because it is falling between the thresholds high and low level. So, I want to implement a 3.3-> translator level 5V on my SCLK, MOSI, and CS lines so that the TTL levels are not be misread by the inverter.

I tried to use a SN7407 (open collector driver) with resistance to pull-up 10 k out 5V on all 3 of my SPI lines. I don't know if this is the correct way to do because the signals on my scope are not fair (SCLK don't work) and do not know if NI8451 e/s lines can support. I have attached a diagram of my connections. If someone could help me please on how to do this, I would be very happy!

    Thanks again.

    Serge

So missed me the resistance of the output of my data acquisition at the entrance of my level shifter. I guess I need this voltage drop on the SPI lines so that they would not be potentially exposed to receive a kickback of 5V.

And I also had a floating floor which I forgot to connect ><>

The circuit works now with emitting SPI signals to the 5V level

  • HP 2420 printer: ink level

How do I check my ink level or thunder to my HP 2420 to win 8.1 x 64?

    Hello

Is the exact model is HP Laserjet 2420?

For Windows 8.1 that is not supported by the provided print solution, full software functionality is not available for your operating system.

You can check the levels of toner by printing a supplies status report, which can be done as follows:

    1. Press the Menu key. (Button n ° 3)
    2. Go to the menu information using up and down arrows and press the Select button. (Button no. 10)
    3. Select PRINT a PAGE of the SUPPLIES STATUS, and press the Select button.
    4. The supplies status page shows the levels of printer supplies, calculation of the number of remaining pages and information on the use of the cartridge.

You can find a description of the menu below:
