travel abroad

I have a HP Pavilion 1255DX G7, and will travel to Australia with her.  I guess power will be able to feel the voltage and the current frequency automatically and all what I have to do is adapt the plug for an Australian container I'm wrong?

correct, just buy an ozzy adapter into your power outlet.

As the lead out on the converter you can also buy the lead with correct ozzy taken if necessary/preferred

I have two computers at home, PC and laptop, the PC has no any problem connecting to the wireless and can see all available wireless network, while my laptop has his red X mark on its icon on the quick launch wireless and can not display any network without wire around, I have re installed the driver but still it won't work , I tried to connect my psp and portable to my wireless router just to check if the connection to the router is limited, but I was able to connect to it.

-have you checked if the wlan switch is in the correct position?
-If the position is ok, check the hardware by using Device Manager. No red or yellow cross on the wlan adapter? Okay, you guys:

  • When travel abroad (overseas) and use the WIFI, I can get incoming emails and browse the web, but cannot send emails.

If I can find the SMTP that is used by the hotel, I can simply change my outgoing SMTP accordingly. But invariably, they do not understand the issue and unless I can find the outgoing SMTP, I'm unable to send.

Is it possible to automatically pick up the SMTP Protocol out of the WIFI service that I use? How can I change my settings to do this?

No, there is no easy way to do it, because the SMTP settings are often specific to the provider.  What you might try is to contact your local ISP and see if they can give you an option to send when you are not connected to them.  In addition, you can use webmail to access and send e-mail.  If your ISP doesn't have this option, there are several free accounts or cheap you can register for (gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc.).

  • issue of model/carrier iPhone 6s with rural United States home and abroad travel

If I buy an unlocked iPhone 6s Apple and specify AT & T as my carrier (to obtain the A1633 model, which supports the 30 band) but then bearers of change (to Verizon, (because my home is in rural areas, WE and Verizon cover exceed AT & T) the phone will work on the Verizon network?) I'm not currently in one of these networks; Currently, I use an Android phone and the US Cellular Network and am unhappy because my phone will not work for travel abroad. I'm not necessarily sold on having band 30; I like the idea that if I need is at my disposal. I guess that this iPhone 6 s will feature the latest iOS operating system update, iOS 9.3.2.

    Hey, StiffLeg!

I know how it is important that your unlocked iPhone works on different media. That being said, read this article: high-speed LTE. This will give you the list of which models are compatible with the networks. It looks like an AT & T phone (model A1633) will be compatible with the band 30, but won't be compatible with Verizon's network. A1688 model is compatible with Verizon, but not with AT & T or strip 30. It may be best to contact Apple Sales Support but will this link: Page contact Apple

  • HP workspace: for international travel, continue to use their original Datacenter for the workspace of HP?

    Hey everybody,

When users of travel abroad, they continue to use their original data for access to the workspace of HP or they go to a regional centre?

    Thank you

    Bill

Regional data center to a user for access to the applications in the workspace of HP is specified at installation time. Employees, international travel will access their regional data center by default. If an organization has employees who need it in the area of the access data center, the company administrator COMPUTER can operate with their HP Service Desk agent to set up additional regional user accounts. For example, if you have an employee who travels frequently between the United States and Asia, two regional accounts could be created for this employee with unique newspaper references.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Serious thought travel user buying Storm - but a few questions...

Hi, as I say, considering the storm.  But I'm confused by the lack of wifi and data programs.  Thus, when traveling (I am in the USA) to Europe, for example, you are ALWAYS data roaming when you are using data on the phone?  Was told by Verizon that I could get an unlimited roaming package for $69.99 / mo.  No wifi means that I can't use the wifi from the hotel (free or inexpensive). And because what they refuse to unlock the side GSM/SIM, you still voice roaming?  (Program roaming data voice, $64.99 / mo).  It is 1619.76 per year.   What Miss me?  Thank you

Verizon will unlock your phone. Just call Verizon Global Service activation. Tell them that you are travelling abroad and they will guide you through to unlock your phone. Last week I just had two storms unlocked for a trip to Argentina and I already sent for two sim cards Argentina that we can use when we're here. They will increase your data only plan for the amount of time that you are away.

  • accounts locked messaging iPhone 6 + missing, missing notes, iCloud email? !

    Hi all

I'm desperate for more help please.

I have an iPhone 6 + 128 GB running iOS 9.3.4. I just noticed in the last few days or all my notes and all but one of my email accounts have disappeared from my device and I can't seem to get back them! I have travelled abroad (in Greece) for the last four weeks and noticed the question while I was there, but decided to remedy this when I got home.

I think that my notes may have been attached/linked to my iCloud email address (this email has not been used as my Apple ID and has never been), but when I tried to add this in my mail application I get a message that my account has been blocked for security reasons. So I tried to unlocked do so I can add it to my phone again and hopefully recover the missing notes. I have zero luck with that. During the unlocking process, I have the option to do it via e-mail or security issues. Safety issues tell me that I don't even know that my date of birth and e-mail option sends the email to the address iCloud Apple have locked? !!! Quite ridiculous. I'm really perplexed and a little disgusted by flawed how this reset password unlocking process is. Not to mention the possibility of not being able to recover the notes that I lost and they contain a lot of important information! I have a back up on my PC (Windows), but I fear that the use of this will wipe away anything from my phone that was added after I backed up before my trip abroad or other data.

I am also having a very hard time to add my gmail email accounts in my mail as application his requesting information server etc, that I simply cannot. I've never met before and I have no idea what caused it. SO I would appreciate some help with this please. I really, really need to solve this problem...

    Thank you very much

This looks very suspicious to me - as if someone took over your account.  I guess you try to unlock your Apple ID, through the standard process, and, when're asked you your date of birth, told you that it is incorrect.  This probably means that someone else is in your account.  Never share your Apple ID / password with anyone?  Perhaps they have been compromised, especially during your travels abroad?

What about adding email accounts in gmail, when you click Settings > mail > accounts > add account, simply choose 'Google' as the type of account and all appropriate server information will be provided for you.

  • How to remove iMessage, if I can't use the old SIM card?

I've traveled abroad and used a temporary SIM card with my iPhone 6.

Now I'back home, inserted my regular SIM card but iMessage continues to try to register with the temporary number, I used abroad.

Although I always temporary SIM card, it is useless in my country and that's why I can't receive the confirmation code to unregister the temporary application number.

How can I reset iMessage or know that I need to register with my local number and not the temporary?

Tried everything and read a number of forums, but nothing seems to work.

  • create 4 x 6 photos

I recently had to print 2400 photos spanning several years.  There was a wedding, 50th anniversary, birthday, travel abroad, parties etc - all kinds of events "many photos".

When I got the photos of Costco, many of the leaders were cut.  This was the beginning of my training on how disjoined digital cameras and printers are.  None of my digital cameras (iphone 6 and Olympus) will allow you to set the aspect ratio of 4 x 6 internally.  Both have a strange X by Y pixels that corresponds to nothing.

Apple iphoto and Photo programs have no way of treatment of the aspect ratio on several pictures at the same time, using strikes half a dozen each time.

I withdraw that.  "IF" you're willing to pay Apple ~ $.18 / printing, the application has printing a nice way to define the appearance of 4 x 6 on the heap, then you can go pull his head down on each photo without taking 6 clicks and 15 seconds per photo.  However, if you would prefer to pay Costco or equiv.11 $/ print, there is no way to use the Apple app print to save the proportions for regular prints.

It is an area where Apple could make life easier for many people.

Now the question: is it possible to set the image format on a batch of photos in Photos?

You can set the maximum size, but not the ratio for a batch of photos when export you - but you'll have the same problem with any big cropping that there is no information as to what to trim off the power when you set the image format - your beef is not with Apple but with CostCo since they will not only supply the tools - as you note Apple doesn't provide better tools and they pay more for the best tools - you ask this Apple CostCos fix lack of tools - this isn't how world works - when you use providers cheap that you give up capacity - it's your choice but not your choice to have Apple difficulty lack of CostCo of tools

  • Built-in SIM card problem

Anyone heading the question where they took contact with care of apple and the representative on the other end does not have the product you are calling for?

I recently had to replace my iPad 9.7 Pro at a local Apple store warranty. There was a glimmer of hope in the quadrant display cooer right. It was not extreme, but once I have the sewing, my eyes always went straight to the it later. Given that the unit was only a few months, that I wasn't old too satisfied to "just deal with it" then I won him in and ultimately they replaced. There is one thing that I like Apple, they really take care of their customers. Then I proceeded to drive home and get on the phone with AT & T to activate it, because the iPad was originally purchased at home and put on my plan.

After getting nowhere with AT & T customer service they transferred me to Apple Care because I didn't have an ICCID under settings/general/to words. After connecting the Apple Care representative I explained the problem. To my surprise, he had no idea on the SIM Apple integrated and kept asking me where was my old SIM and I need one to get cellular service. Now, I knew that this was not correct and I've tried very carefully explain that there is no SIM external it was enabled on the embedded SIM card, however, they guy fought me on it and sounded quite confused throughout the call. I also tried to activate it under the iPad option settings/cell/Add cell phone carrier/transfer again. This option does not work for me, because it has to do with a different plan type (I have or the representative didn't know) he says also my user name and password are incorrect, but it wasn't. I logged in full on the site without problem. As a result of this he told me to change my password for AT & T and that has not worked, it wouldn't have worked anyway, but now I know, it's just so that you can see the traces of events here. I was then left on hold for 15 minutes be say I have to call my service provider.

Just for the forum of reference for the iPad all Pro (to the United States at least) are made with a built-in SIM card, but also have a nano SIM tray for travel abroad. For those who don't know no way "embarked", it is built in the electronic device and is not removable. Why do that and do all sorts of confusion? It is designed to allow a smaller unit and is supposed to give more options for the selection of a carrier.

To resolve this problem, I took my replaced iPad 9.7 Pro at my local AT & T store the next day (today) to configure the built-in SIM card. They had me past in less than 5 minutes. Namely, if someone runs into his question, you need to tell the person you talking if theres no ICCID then its either one wifi device or if you are using a device with a built-in SIM card. They will have the provision to the CSN, which is a very long alphanumeric number located in settings/general/to comments made by verses the low only with the IMEI (obviously).

I'm just surprised that the 'experts' Apple Care had no idea what the hell I was talking about. I am an engineer 'EM and work on industrial equipment. Also, I have a technical support for hardware, software, networks and applications, so I have a bit of history and know how to get my message. I too am a former user of Windows and Android who migrated to apple for its ease of use, robustness and quality, and outstanding customer service. I now own the iPad Pro, mini iPad 9.7 4, Apple TV (3rd generation) and Mac Mini (late 2014). All of which are excellent products that I use every day and that he loves her. I also participates actively in the public beta program Apple with iOS 10 and Sierra of MacOS. Apple, if you listen... Take note that when a supervisor does not know the iPad Pro is manufactured with a built-in SIM, theres a problem.

    What do you think?

I'm going to Europe for a month.  What settings should I set my data and voice roaming on?

    Hello walshsemail,

Thanks for this info and choosing the communities Support from Apple. I know the importance of knowing how to prepare your iPhone when traveling is for you! The first step is to contact your carrier for specific processes when you travel. After you contact your carrier, the following article will be useful to explain the other measures that take before leaving for Europe:
