Trend PC-Cillin dissatisfaction

I bought a computer XPS 420, Vista Ultimate, Dell in mid-April. In order for me to perform a scan, I have to disable the user account control, reboot, perform analysis, turn on UAC, and then restart. This is nuts. Then, when the analysis identifies potential risks, it's not like you all select and delete or quarantine. You must select each individually and add it to a list of items for deletion - it is not only more nuts, but very would take a lot of time. In addition, I never really know if they have been deleted!

I asked Dell to change this security for something else like McAfee program, but I was told that I spent my 21 day guarantee limit. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you very much!

  • Trend Micro PC - cillin Internet Security MyWaySearch Deputy markup!

    Hello

My first time here and hoping someone can help!  I downloaded PC-Cillin on my laptop without a problem.  Then I loaded it on my PC.  I get a popup of the opinion on the real-time Protection spyware:

Removing a malicious program has failed.  You need to remove dangerous files yourself using Windows Explorer

    Incident name: c:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\1.bin\deSrcAs.dll

    Detection name: Adware BHO MySearch

I tried clicking Ignore but it keeps popping up and driving me crazy.

I tried to uninstall my way via the Control Panel, but get the message:

    RUNDLL

    Error loading c:\Program~1\MyWaySA\SrchAs\1.bin\desrcas.dll

    Access is denied

I tried calling Dell technical support but I am out of warranty and they wanted me to pay a fortune to help!

I had a cat in line with the trend and that did not help.

I downloaded Windows Installer Cleanup and deleted from there.  He still appears on the control panel of the programs and I still get the same error message when I try to remove it.

I'm afraid I'll really mess up my system if I keep this!

Please let me know if you have any suggestions!  Thank you!

I use Mozilla, but I get Internet Explorer pop-up windows. I don't know what to do. Help, please! Thank you!

  • Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Sec 14 for Dell - Scan Engine version

    Hi all:

Can you people posting your current version of your engine for me?  My auto system updated to v. 8.550.1001 around December 07 and all was well with the program.  I check my version of template w / Trend Micro to check website I have the current template file and I always do.

For some strange reason, my scan engine did not update to what's trending says is the 'current' version of 8.70.  I established a procedure for manually updating the scanning engine for this v.14Dell of the web site of trend, but it has dated 12/19/06.  Mentions XPsp2/XP/Vista, but I'm not comfortable with this old info.

Anyone have the current version of the analysis of the engine 8,700 running on your computer?  If so, how did you get it?  The automatic update, or did you download the file from the engine and do it manually?

I had a lot of luck with this version of Trend Micro, uninstalled the firewall to deal with other issues.  I am running Vista Home Premium, SP1 (sp1 really makes things more zippier noticed a pretty big difference).

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    Thank you very much

    Ted

  • Trend Micro

Is it a good program Transcend AntiVirus USB Flash drive with built-in Security Trend Micro USB.

Take a look at this web site and check out the side by side comparison:-

    http://anti-virus-software-review.TopTenReviews.com/PC-cillin-review.html

Not for me to tell whether it is good or bad, but I use another brand.

  • What Version of Trend Micro?

My Trend Micro has expired and when I click on 'renew' said Trend Micro Internet Security for Dell $79.  If I had directly on their site I see Trend Micro (PC-cillin) Internet Security $2008 49.95 y at - there a real difference between these 2 products?   Why should I pay the extra amount of $30?   Someone knows it's important to get the more expensive version?  We have a Dell with XP desktop computer.  Thank you.

  • QB 2013 multiuser Windows 8 + Trend Micro + Server 2012 field ++ group policy

We have a Windows Server 2012 domain.  Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers are joined to the domain.  All computers are running Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security Standard - client/server anti-virus for Windows Server 2012 areas.  Group Policy Windows Server 2012 has all the disabled Windows Firewall.  Trend Micro worry free Business Security Standard has its firewall also disabled by default.  QuickBooks Database Manager to run from the server.  File doctor confirms connectivity is in place and fully functional.  All other software titles work on computer network with zero problem whatsoever.  The only problem is to Intuit Quickbooks 2013 and the computer of Windows 8.  Windows 7 computers work fine in single and Multi User Mode.  When you try to put Quickbooks 2013 mode multiuser on the computer of Windows 8, the program is sitting there doing nothing.  You're finally at the end of task on the program in order to return to the desktop.  After testing the various components of our computer network to determine the source of the problem (several hours later), I determined that if I download Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security on the computer of Windows 8, Multi User Mode then opens without a problem on the computer of Windows 8.  It's very strange to me that a company the size of Intuit would have this incompatibility with the application very current Trend Micro antivirus.  But keep in mind that the problem only occurs on the computer of Windows 8.  I see an article in the knowledge base and online claiming that you need to open ports in firewall to define a list of approved programs.  The article is obviously written for Trend Micro PC-Cillin - an obsolete product.  My question is: How can I solve this problem with specific Trend Micro worry free Business Security Standard?  There is no closed firewall ports.  The network is wide open.  This is confirmed when I use the file doctor tool to test the ports/connectivity.  I would like to avoid having to uninstall Trend Micro of our entire Windows domain to reflect a problem with a single application on a single operating system using a specific antivirus application.  I hope that Intuit or Trend Micro or Microsoft offers a specific solution for this problem by using a known working solution.  I am an engineer network with 20 years of experience and I already spent at least 7 hours trying to solve this problem.  It is obvious to me that Trend Micro on specifically Windows 8 is done in a way that is somehow interfere with Quickbooks - yet this interference does not occur on Windows 7 computers - even if all the computers in the domain are configured in the exact same way.  Help, please.

Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security Standard 8.0 SP1 has completely solved the problem.  It is strange that the Service Pack did not show up as an alert in the Trend Micro Worry Free Business Standard 8.0 Console Security.  After the installation of SP1 manually, the problem has been resolved.  It is also strange it doesn't seem to be an article in the knowledge base that communicates entirely that this question can exist and that the installation of Trend Micro Worry free Business Security Standard 8.0 SP1 will solve the problem.

  • I have been to insert an Add On "Trend Micro NSC Firefox Extension 6.8.0.1134" is this safe / authentic? What is it for?

signature Mozilla Fire Fox, I was instructed to install a Fire Fox Add On

Firefox will not just offer to install an extension, unless another program, that you have installed wants to install an extension for Firefox, the next time you start the PC or the next time Firefox is launched.

You have something else installed on this PC trendmicro?

"What is the Trend Micro NSC Firefox Extension?"
The Firefox Extension of Trend Micro NSC is the network security component that is responsible for your program of titanium Web threat protection in the Mozilla browser.

There is really no need this type of extension of TrendMicro. Firefox contains this type of protection.

  • Why think the trend that your Installer is a virus?

    Hello support for Firefox.

I'm just curious on why the trend would think that your Installer is a virus? It is, according to the latest trend titanium v7.0.1240 in Win8 x 64, this is apparently a TROJ_GEN. R0CBH02EM14

In all cases, it allowed this installation and the product works, I would like to know why the executable has been marked as being infected.

Thank you very much for your time

    Mutu you

When I type the url http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ on http://global.sitesafety.trendmicro.com/result.php , he gets a certificate of good health.

I also tried to submit the same URL of Mozilla to virus Total (https://www.virustotal.com/en-gb/#url) and also specifically the en - us Windows file firefox https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-29.0.1-SSL & os = win & lang = en-US link I used the new analysis
option and both again to get a certificate of good health detection 0/52

    Mutu you
Maybe if you insure your trend micro software is updated it will show that Firefox is ok now. As much as I know major releases of Mozilla servers have never had malware on them. I remember however these reports in the past that proved to be temporary false positives.

  • How can I get Alexa trends and down right ff29?

I had Alexa Sparky installed which gave the trends and the rank of the Web page. Since the update of ff29 disappeared.

    Relocation of Sparky has failed.

    Any ideas?

Firefox 29 moved all the icons and the bar of the module to the main toolbar controls. If they equip all, there is an overflow drop-down menu, or you might find the icon in the personalization Control Panel.

Some extensions seem to require their button to be on the add-on bar and withdraw from the main toolbar. If there is one of these, you probably need an extension to re - create the add-on bar. Here are two that I saw:

  • Some of the desktop icons have expanded themselves how to reverse this trend?

Some of the desktop icons have expanded themselves how to reverse this trend?

The first thing to try is to right click on your desktop > view > click medium icons and see what happens. You can also try small

  • I have Trend Micro antivirus for Windows 7, but I'm told it's not compatible with Mozilla 9.1, how to get an older version or to adapt?

I use a computer laptop, just reinstalled everything and now have Firefox 9.1 and tells me that is not compatible with my antivirus, Trend Micro Titanium. I am running Windows 7.

This situation should not come up again with future versions of Firefox. From Firefox 10.0 (to be released Jan 31 Mar) modules will be assumed to be compatible with the new version of Firefox and they will be not disabled, as in the past. Well sure, if an add-on does not work correctly or totally screws to the top of Firefox, it is up to the user to sort only the cottages, with a little help from those of us who provide Firefox support.
