  I am under Win XP Professional SP3 and will have the following problem with microsoft update. WinXP guard download and try to install KB2656352, KB2572073 and KB2633880 when they are already installed! If I try to hide these high priority updates so I can't install update KB2539631. I tried running Microsoft Fix it numbers 50202 and 50123 and it still has not fixed my problem. I looked for support from Microsoft, the data base but cannot find a solution by stages to this problem - that's what I'm after, not a formidable link. In addition, if you want a list of the codes of error unfortunately can't do it you because I do not know where these on my computer. I hope that there is someone with a solution to this problem?

  I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

  Method 1:
  Run the hardware and devices Troubleshooter and check. Please follow these steps:

  a. press Windows + W keys, type Troubleshooting in the search box and press on Enter.
  b. click on 'show all' and then click 'hardware and devices'.
  c. click 'Next' and then follow the on-screen instructions.

  If this does not help, then use method 2.

  Method 2:
  Start your computer in safe mode and check the number.

• Close, minimize, and lots of buttons are cut?

  For some reason these buttons at the top left of the screen are cut.

  Details:

  -When I open Firefox, it is not in fullscreen mode
  -The resize buttons are cut off (see image)
  -When I go in to the View menu, it says "Exit Fullscreen" even though it isn't in full screen
  -If I hit that, it fixes the problem and then the buttons appear and function normally

• When I restarted the computer, all the icons and the Start button are left so far I don't see more than words stretched far to the left

  The screen is stretched so far left start button and most of the icons are off the screen.  I clicked blindly off the screen until I found the internet E. I found no where to find help for this problem. When I arrived at my home page I tried to move around the screen using the top bar... which did not work. Please help make my home page and the display of the icon back to normal size.

  1. Ideas: KB969947 has a problem or KB973565 has a problem
  2. Regularized these and other updates through restoration and only got the problem at the time where I reapplied the two. I have not tried each of them separately.

  Thanks for your help and advice.
  I would follow your advice, but the slow start of yesterday time is not happening today. It does not give me more with a clear problem, and not even a description that seems logical.
  Originally, I had the slow startup time, I restored to several days - removing various improvements and got a quick start. I installed one at a time without any problem until I installed the KBs above. The problem comes back. BUT today, before the additional updates to get back to where I was, the problem disappeared.
  It is difficult to understand! I hope that I will not need to refer to this again.

  Need to have this configuration in a classroom environment.

  I don't know what you mean when you ask a desktop or sharing users.

  A network computer can share files and printers with other computers, but there are limits that might make it unusable for you.  Windows XP and Vista allow 5 or 10 concurrent connections by other computers, depending on the version.

  You need an operating system of Windows Server or Linux server to allow for more concurrent connections to shared files and printers.

  I also fear that an ad - hoc network does not work well with 50 computers.

  Launch the activity monitor of Applications > utilities.

  Or Finder > go > utilities.

  
  

  Once the activity monitor is running, check for Safari process and force them to leave the same.

  

  When you click X button marked, it will encourage Quit option and force him to leave. Click the option to force out.

  Welcome to the HP Forums.

  It seems that, after the blocking of your laptop, you have lost the function of the touchpad. I will try to help you with this.

  Have you tried to restart the laptop yet? Try this first.

  If this does not work, turn off the computer, unplug the power adapter (if connected) and remove the battery. Press and hold the power for 30 seconds. Connect the dough or power adapter, turn on the laptop and the test.

  If the problem is still present, you can try to do a restore on the laptop.

  If it still does not, then try to update the drivers. You can do so here: drivers & downloads.

  I'll let you start with that. If you need other assistance please provide the model number and product for your laptop and the currently installed operating system.
