true-type compared to the Post script fonts

Hello
I need match a font of logo business card, use the navigations buttons. I found the font I want to download but I don't know the difference between a true type font and a font of post script and more specifically what is the best to use on Web sites.

Any help greatly valued!

Shontelle

It does not really matter as if your using a non-standard font, you will have
to save the text as a graphic to use on your website, otherwise it will not
display correctly.

While everything seems okay when you have turned it into a chart, is not
matter if it's true type or postscript, as the behavior of each type
will be lost.

  • Usually the post-Scripts

    Hi guys,.

    I test a lot with vmware Mirage for the deployment of Windows 7.

    Actuall, I write post scripts. If I update a Base Layer "post_bi_update.bat" works really well and calls the "post_core_Update.bat".

    But if I spend an a Win7 XP system or run a provisioning BaseLayer, the message "migration.bat" does not work.

    Any ideas how I can run a post Migration... for Winxp Win7 Migration scrip and a BaseLayer provisioningScript?

    Thanks for your help.

    Concerning

    The post_migration.bat file should work for XP to 7 migration. He runs after the first reboot and after the series of 17 or more steps so that the user is locked. Can you run the file .bat manually after the migration, and it works very well then?

    For the supply of the base layer, using the post_provisioning.bat file. We need to document this better.

    Make sure that both files are a part of the reference machine, while the base layer is captured and placed in the appropriate folder.

    The problem seems to be with true type fonts.  Open type deletions are fine for most - some are refused, but thatss ok - they are in the minority.   There is little chance of other types, but I have not tried to remove. Thank you very much.

    Hi nfreije,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. you receive an error message when you try to remove the fonts from the computer?

    3. What is the reason to remove the fonts from the computer?

    It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

    I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and try to remove the fonts from the computer.

    To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Reset the computer to start as usual

    When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    I hope this helps!

  • Change the size and font for any field type?

    Because that copy / paste to the font size and type with it I want to create a script which change

    I tried get to the function 'exit' of the material as follows:

    Form1. TestPage.Subform1.TextField1.font.size = '10pt '.

    Form1. TestPage.Subform1.TextField1.font.typeface = "Myriad Pro";

    I also tried a search field button changes to a script I found online, but it does not work for me:

    function ProcessTextEdit (oField)

    {

    }

    function ProcessAllFields (oNode)

    {

    If (oNode.className is "subform")

    {

    Search fields in the child.

    for (var i = 0; i < oNode.nodes.length; i ++)

    {

    var oChildNode = oNode.nodes.item (i);

    ProcessAllFields (oChildNode);

    }

    }

    Else if (oNode.className == "field")

    {

    Switch (oNode.ui.oneOfChild.className)

    {

    case "textEdit":

    If (oNode.parent.className is "Subform")

    {

    Form1. TestPage.Subform1.TextField1.font.size = '10pt '.

    Form1. TestPage.Subform1.TextField1.font.typeface = "Myriad Pro";

    }

    }

    }

    }

    No luck. Any suggestions?

    I tried the only control font size and type everything by allowing users to retain the flexibility to use color, bold, underline, etc. to highlight certain information when he text above. Plain text allows it. So far, everything I've read, is not possible because Livecycle is not able to control the attribute of Rich Text of the word imported into a Rich text box in Livecycle.

  • Not available in the script fonts

    I wrote the following script to generate an index of fonts in an InDesign document:

    Generate new document

    var doc = app.documents.add ();

    frm var = doc.pages [0].textFrames.add ();

    var l = doc.documentPreferences.pageWidth;

    var h = doc.documentPreferences.pageHeight;

    frm.geometricBounds = [0.5, 0.5, 10.5, 8];

    Get a list of all the fonts installed and divided into tables of type and font family name

    var appFonts = app.fonts.everyItem () .name;

    var installedFonts = [];

    var installedStyles = [];

    var counter = - 1;

    for (var i = 0; i < appFonts.length; i ++) {}

    appFonts [i] is appFonts [i] .split ("\t");.

    {If (i == 0 | appFonts [i] [0]! = {appFonts [i - 1] [0])}

    installedFonts.push (appFonts [i] [0]);

    counter ++;

    installedStyles [counter] = [];

    }

    installedStyles [counter] .push (appFonts [i] [1]);

    }

    Loop through all families of fonts and styles

    var thisFont = "";

    var thisStyle = "";

    for (var i = 0; i < installedFonts.length; i ++) {}

    thisFont = installedFonts [i];

    for (var j = 0; j < installedStyles [i] .length; j ++) {}

    thisStyle = installedStyles [i] [j];

    FRM.contents += thisFont + '-' + thisStyle + "\r";

    with (frm.paragraphs.item(-1)) {}

    try {}

    appliedFont = thisFont;

    try {}

    fontStyle = thisStyle;

    }

    {} catch (errorVariable)

    appliedFont = "Times New Roman";

    fontStyle = "Regular";

    }

    }

    {} catch (errorVariable)

    appliedFont = "Times New Roman";

    fontStyle = "Regular";

    }

    pointSize = 12;

    Justification = Justification.leftAlign;

    }

    }

    }

    I've added the try/catch statements, because for some fonts script has been abandoned in the statement:

    appliedFont = thisFont;

    because he said that the police was not available. Why can't apply that font to text if app.fonts.everyItem () .name on the list?

    Try to set both the font and style in a single command:

    appliedFont = "Roman\tRegular" again

    The "appliedFont" command may fail if the original font in this style was something not available for TNR, such as 'refine '. This should fix.

    Hello-

    Ah, yes--it is that review.

    Another option, because you are not able to go to .NET FX 4.5, is to remove the parts "[ordered]' of the code that you use.  This type Accelerator makes the hash table a dictionary sorted.  The effect to remove that from the code will be that the properties of the object that results will not be in the order in which they appear in the code.

    And, another option would be to install PowerShell v3 (the version in which the '[ordered]' feature has been added').  That shouldn't require a FX .NET newer than what you showed as having already installed on this computer.  However, as we have seen with the PSSnapin and PSv4 Exchange, you want to make sure that the PSSnapins / Modules you want to use are compatible with PowerShell v3.

    I'm using the Mistral font to create a signature, is it possible using Photoshop to join letters and avoid joints showing?

    Type > secret to the shape.  Then use the direct Selection (white arrow) tool to change the font.  You must click outside the police to deselect points and drag carefully on the point you want to change.  Otherwise, the entire letter moves and makes you crazy!

    [EDIT]  BTW, try different fonts.  Some little gap between the letters.  You can search all fonts in Photoshop CC enter the font name field in sc.

    When I run the synchronization generates on:
    ALTER TABLE EDW. SUBSCRIPTION_TYPE
    CHANGE (INTEGER ADDRESS_TYPE_SKID)
    ;

    Which is fine, I then run the script. When I Re run the synchronization script, the update continues to display in the script. Even if the column has been updated.
    If I change to a number then it works!

  • Redirect to another page with parameter passing using the POST method

    Hello

    I need to redirect to another page and pass parameters to it with the POST (not GET) method. How can I do?

    So far, I tried the 2 options and none of them works very well:
    1. I wrote a pl/sql procedure, but if I run it, then the page runs on my server application instead of actually going to another page in another server (I see the neame of the procedure in the web browser's address bar). Is there a way to work around a bit so that really, it goes to another page and pass the variables?

    2. the second option, I tried is to put this script to my page of request code:

    < name of the form = 'mounted' action = 'https://www.somekindofurl.com/cgi-bin/dv.sh/un3min.r. '
    method = "POST" target = "_top" >
    < input type = "hidden" name = "VK_SERVICE" value = "1001" >
    < input type = "hidden" name = "VK_VERSION" value = "008" >
    < input type = "hidden" name = "VK_SND_ID" value = "testvpos" >
    < input type = "hidden" name = "VK_STAMP" value = "88" >
    < input type = "submit" value = "Let's's Pay" >
    < / make >

    < / make >

    But it does not work as APEX has its own system of Forms control. Is it possible to play? I tried to delete #FORM # of page templates and it works fine then. The problem is that I have other forms on the page as well (login form + search form) so I can't remove this manipulation of shape native APEX. Is it possible to play with it?

    Thank you much in advance.

    Hi Ibenarobeno,

    Your form can live at the end of the page with all the hidden items.

    You can then control with buttons and fields within the form of the Apex.

    Hello

    Just improved 32-bit, XP 64-bit pro 8.1. Installed the latest driver PCL 6 for my Laserjet 4200. I use Wordperfect 12 and Microsoft Word. In both programs, I can use is no longer native fonts to the printer (mail). I can only use a font true type, such as "new mail". Is there a fix or has the driver blocked the use of native fonts. If there is a solution please provide

    The (OpenType / TrueType) Courier New police installed as standard on Windows systems moden must match the police Courier Encapsulated T PCL StreetType Ohierarchi which is present in the printer LaserJet 4200 (and more modern printers LaserJet).

    Probably (through the font selection sequences), most printer drivers will choose the fonts in the printer as a substitute for the police based on Windows; some can download instead an equivalent of subset of soft fonts dynamically generated (PCLETTO or bitmap) of the host police.

    Hello

    What I do in this case is to stick the piece of xml code that I want to ask in an ascii Editor. So I replace all tags, content and oblique end etc. with the bar to get an xpath expression. I compare with the xpath expression in the XSLT. Placing them underneath eachother makes it easy to compare. You're example I take:

    //soapenv:Body                             /sear:SearchRegionEXRequest_PM/sear1:BodyMsgRequest/sear1:Idiom

    With the XPath of the xlt described with a piece of xml (given the lack of namespace is not the same):

                   /ns0:SearchRegionEXOperation/xsd2:SearchRegionEXRequest_PM/  ns2:BodyMsgRequest/ns2  :Idiom

    Then you will see that the root in the xpath expression is "SearchRegionEXOperation", which is not present in the body. Then the XPath apparently follows the body. So, you will need to change the element root in the mapping definition.

    You must also post this xsd2: refers to the same namespace as sear: and ns2: the same thing as sear1: in the xml file (I did not have that).

    Kind regards
    Martian

  • Post Script BCH files/PST file - Documaker 12.2

    Hello

    It is with regard to the fsisys, BCH files and PST file over the generation of post script files.

    We use PRTTYPE = PST for the generation of post script files and using BatchingByPageCountPerRecipINI in AFGJOB.

    < BatchingByRecip >

    Batch_Recip_Def = True; "" Client1BCH "; Customer

    Batch_Recip_Def = True; "" Client2BCH "; Customer

    < Client1BCH >

    Printer = CPRINT1

    PageRange = 1.9

    BatchBannerBeginForm =; BANNER; BANNERS; BANNER_PAGE;

    BatchBannerBeginScript = PREP

    < Client2BCH >

    Printer = CPRINT2

    PageRange = 10,99999

    BatchBannerBeginForm =; BANNER; BANNERS; BANNER_PAGE;

    BatchBannerBeginScript = PREP

    Now have 5 different recipients of Documaker, 10 lots for 1 to 9 pages and beyond.

    Issue.

    When GENPRINT is running, I can observe that all transactions are processed and are written in corresponding. BCH files. However, except for Client1BCH, script files to post for the rest of the lots have data written to them forms. When I work with these post script files, the output is as expected.

    For Client1BCH, only - everything that I get from post script files's homepage! I know that the transactions are less than 9 pages for the recipient - customer! However, I don't see any output.

    Appreciate any guidance to resolve the issue.

    Thank you.

    Finally, the problem is solved! That's what I did to debug.

    I went from the recipients for BCBATCH1, instead of BillingClient, I assigned the insurant and see than BC. PRINT1.PS file accompanied data - as expected. This made me think that this might be a little to do with the recipient - BillingClient himself. I went back to the definition file and seen as the 'Code' for BillingClient and banner - two recipients, is the same! I changed the code for banner and tested again out of the lot.  The output is as expected.

    Thanks a lot for spending time in the analysis of the problem and send me tickets!
