  Hello, I've been everywhere trying to solve the problem below and hope you can help me.

  I have a HP Pavilion Elite - HPE 180 t - Win 7 64 bit OS.

  System Info 9 physical memory GB - memory Modules 5 - video Card1.8GB GeForct NVIDIA GTX 260 (2 DVI, HDMI and VGA adapters) - Intel(R) Core (TM) i7 CPU 950 @3. 07 GHz - 8 GB of SDRAM DDR3-1 066 MHz (4 DIMMs) - 1 HDD 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA 3 Gb/s.

  Problem: I don't want Windows 7 and I try to install XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 - Full Version/CD ROM.  I put the disc in and the installation option is grayed out.  What should I do to prepare my system to accept the installation?  I have my backed up system.  If I erased my hard drive would that work?  Is it possible to install over Win 7 or have two operating systems installed? I've seen advise to set the BIOS but cannot figure out how to display the screen upward at the start.  I looked in the manual of HP and do not find the information.

  Any direction is most appreciated.

  Windows XP is an operating system not supported and XP installation may void your warranty.

  If you want to continue using XP, I would make sure that create you HP recovery discs before you start anything.  Wipe the hard drive should allow you to install XP.  I don't know what are the options you have the disk to install XP but I get an advanced option and try a Dual Boot or install double if you want to run two operating systems.  To help you, do a search for "dual boot windows 7 and XP" or something similar and browse the results.

  I try to install Adobe Reader Touch to my Surface installed Pro Windows 8.1 Microsoft Windows store.  I get the following message is displayed:

  "Your purchase could not be executed.

  Only, this seems to be a problem with Adobe Reader Touch.  I was able to install applications from other vendors and Adobe (for example, Photoshop Express to the elements).  So it doesn't seem to be a problem with my Adobe account, or a problem with Windows Store system.

  Anyone have this problem?  All solutions?

  I recommend contacting Microsoft about this error message as it is returned by the windows store program.

  Furthermore, I you recommend to download the installer for Adobe reader offline using this link (Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution ) and then try to install on your device pro surface.

  I've successfully upgraded ADE on 2 computers but on the 3rd, the library does not migrate & ADE 3 is not uninstalled.

  Normal Digital Edition used the same folder and you get display eBooks, but sometimes does not work.

  I had installation problems with ADE 2 due to the use of an older AMD processor.  After several tries to Chat I was given a link to 1.7 ADE.   Here it is:

  As said before, your 2.0 ADE won't ask you to authorize, if you already have a previous version of ADE installed. So, which might also happen in your case. However, there is a way to disable allow ADE and re - authorize ADE by using a new adobe ID.

  > Open ADE.

  > Press Ctrl + Shift + D (Windows) or command + shift + D (Mac)

  > You get an option to withdraw authorization or delete Authorization(depending on your ADE version), click on it and you're done.

  > Go to help-> authorize computer.

  > Enter your credentials and authorize the ADE.

  The following workaround solution allows you to install Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 on Windows Vista.

  • Download the installer from http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html.

  • Choose to save the installation files in a directory on your hard drive.

  • Go to the save location, right click on ADE_2.0_Installer.exe and select Properties.

  • On the general tab, click Unblock next to the security.

    
    

  • Click OK to apply the changes and close the Properties window.

  • Double-click on the ADE_2.0_Installer.exe to start the installation process.

  As an alternative, you can follow the cannot install Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 software to download and install the Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 software.

  Have you tried to do it again

  Macintosh:

  1. exit the Adobe Digital Editions software.
  2. Navigate to / Users / / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.
     If you use 10.7, see library access hidden files. Mac OS 10.7 and later.
  3. Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize.

  Windows:

  1. Close all applications.
  2. Click Start > run.
  3. Open, type regedit in the text box and press ENTER. The Registry Editor opens.
  4. In the left pane of the registry editor, locate the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept
  5. Select the key of the follower.
  6. Choose file > export.
  7. In the export registry file dialog box, select the branch selected under export range. Enter a name and location for the backup registry key, and then click Save.
  8. Right click on the key to the follower, and then choose Remove.
  9. In the dialog box confirm the key deletion, click OK.
  10. Close the registry editor.
  11. Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize.
