  Method 1: Restore the default settings of the BIOS WARNING: this procedure may involve changing the semiconductor (CMOS) settings of the computer's complementary metal oxide and by changing the BIOS of the computer. Incorrect changes to the BIOS of your computer can result in serious problems. Change the CMOS settings of the computer at your own risk.

  To resolve this issue, restore the BIOS of the computer to its default settings. For more information about the correct settings of the BIOS of the computer and how to check and change these settings, see the computer documentation or contact the manufacturer of the computer.

  In addition, to confirm that the computer's BIOS is current, contact the computer manufacturer to inquire about the last update of the BIOS available for the computer.

• When you use the copy and collect the files to the new location, I get the error file not found...

  I have 24 hours to media manage and send a feature-length documentary online instead. Everything is ready to go and so I'm going in the media project manager manage all this and I get the following error message:

  

  This is meaningless - why he's looking for the file that it is the copy in the destination folder?   It seems that because the name of the file was a '-' in there. I changed the name of the file and then reconnected and it has been working fine since.

  I did the supreme error of trying to work on my computer when I am ill and not thinking clearly.  No need to chastize me - I am already beaten pretty badly.  Here's what I did:

  I have a Virtual Machine for Windows XP Pro SP3 (32 bit).  The HARD drive has been set to only 40 GB.  I need to increase it (and have the space), so I turned off the virtual machine and tried to change the size of the HARD drive.  I was invited I can't make changes on the computer virtual HARD disk if there are no snapshots then (cringe) I removed all the.   VMWare has done its thing and removed all snapshots (takes TOO long).  I changed HARD drive of 40 to 80 GB virtual computer and clicked on apply.  I started the virtual machine and the HARD drive was still at 40 GB. I tried to turn off the virtual machine and the closure of VMWare, but when I restarted the VM showed a 40 GB HARD drive (even if the parameters he showed to 80).

  So I thought that maybe I need to turn off the Mac in case there is some kind of conflict of HARD drive.  So I turned off the iMac completely, let rest, then restarted everything.  When I walked into the virtual machine and tried to open a window of the Explorer, the virtual machine could not read the HARD drive (there was this animated icon 'search').  I could read the files in different folders, but Explorer couldn't read the HARD drive.

  So I powered down and pulled up the parameters VM & gt; Hard drives and I saw that the "Split into 2 GB files" has been verified "."  I did a superficial check in the help files (with my brain foggy-sick) and thought that it was not the right setting, so I disabled it and clicked 'apply '.  "VMWare has started doing his thing (took a very long time) and ends with an error"file not found"

  Now, when I try to start the virtual machine, I get the dreaded message: "file not found: Windows XP Professional.vmdk.»  This file is required to power on this virtual machine.  If this file has been moved, please provide its new location.

  Need to see a file that lists the target Virtual Machine package, and you can use the instructions below to get it in the preferred form.

  1. in a Terminal (/ Applications/Utilities/Terminal), type the following without the quotes, including the trailing space, however do not press ENTER again and note that the following contains lowercase L, not those: 'ls - lAF.

  2. in the Virtual Machine in Fusion library (VMware Fusion (menu bar) > window > library Virtual Machine), ctrl + click on the virtual computer target, then select 'show in Finder '.

  3. drag and drop the computer virtual target on the Terminal and this will fill the full qualified path of the virtual machine.

  4 type the following without quotes, including the leading space, then press ENTER: "' > ~ / Desktop/filelist.txt '"

  Example of command line full in a Terminal:

  ls -lAF /Users/${USER}/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/Windows XP.vmwarevm  > ~/Desktop/filelist.txt
  

  5. then attach the filelist.txt file that was created on the desktop to a response message.

  It shows that it is Mac OS extended, not journaled. Click enable logging in the toolbar.

  The thing you read is if you format the drive using the RAID settings you have selected. You have to look at the bottom of the window where it shows the Format.

  In the grid, right-click on an image of 'missing', select 'go to the folder in the library.

  If the folder view does not resemble what you show Finder, right-click on a folder and select 'Show the parent' '; repeat if necessary.

  This will show you where LR thinks that the file was originally.

  You can try to put the images where they were, or place them go elsewhere and 'move' the file in LR.

  I have a mp3 player that works very well on my wifes XP system but when I try and use it with Vista I get error installation driver... file not found.   Are you sure you have the correct drivers for Vista and that the device is compatible with Vista?  Just because it works on XP there's no guarantee that it will work on Vista (especially if you use XP drivers).  What is the manufacturer, the brand and the model of mp3 player?  What version of Vista are you using?

  Please answer these questions in your answer.  Also check with the manufacturer for drivers updated firmware and/or software compatible with your device and your version of Vista and try to install them and see if that makes a difference.

  I'm a little lost... After you have reinstalled XP, I had a few problems.
  First of all, the program that I now have on my computer is supposed to have not passed the real thing on opening... I lost the disc, so I bought another XP (SP2) drive on eBay and I tried to install... It then says that as I have already a newer version (SP3) and therefore does not install.
  I thought I would just try to install windows 7 instead and forget XP but now I said, by the system, the partition is not big enough!
  My C drive seems to just have a BIG something or other and is great just 13 MB... the partition of F is NFTC and has more space it seems... can someone please tell me how I can expand the C partition, so I can install?
  Or do I just delete/clean everything and start over with an installation of windows 7?
  I'm really lost here and any help is welcome.

  Once you download the BIOS you should .bin file in the Flash BACK folder on the USB drive to Flash a BIOS USB. Insert the USB select it as source of BIOS, and then select the .bin file and it should run and perform a flash as usual.
