My windows will not update, I get a 80072ee2 error code?
My windows will not update, I get a 80072ee2 error code?
I run Vista, and I know there have been some problems with updates in the past, would be Vista the reason why I'm getting this error?
See you soon
Kim
If Windows Update error 80072ee2 during updates, you may need to add the addresses of websites which Windows Update downloads updates to the exceptions to your firewall or 'green list '.
To add the Windows Update Web sites to a firewall exceptions list
Windows Firewall ships with this version of Windows and should already include these sites in the exceptions list. If you are using another firewall, see Help for the software publisher to see how to add these websites to your firewall exceptions list:
If the problem persists after these steps, see this

I'm Zenith one 733F error Code when I try to install the latest Windows Vista Update, which is an update to SQL Server 2005 (Service Pack 2 KB970895). This update has failed several times now.
I followed the advice given in a separate post in this forum at Ramer49 to perform a selective startup with msconfig to try to run the update with all Microsoft Services disabled. This does not solve the problem.
I spent reviewing the logfile under C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix\SQL9_Hotfix_KB970895_sqlrun_sql.msp.log. The problem highlighted is that the Services of Services SQL2005 database program did not start. Here is an excerpt from the log file...
Product Installation status
Product: SQL Server Database Services 2005 (MSSMLBIZ)
(Previous) product version: 3077
Version of the product (Final):
Status: failed
Log file: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix\SQL9_Hotfix_KB970895_sqlrun_sql.msp.log
SQL Express features:
Error number: 29503
Error description: error MSP: 29503 The SQL Server service could not start. For more information, see theI tried to run the problem file (SQL Server MSSMLBIZ) directly by using the Windows administrative tool, but the file does not seem to start successfully. Event Viewer log contains an error with event ID = 823.
I don't know what to do next.
Can someone help me?
Thank you.

Try to install on Vista SP2 KB915597, getting error code 80070670
Hello
I tried to update Vista SP2 (with Ko 915597 - an update for the Defender) however it returns an error code of 80070670. What happened two or three times last week. Every time the patch installed ok afterwards. However, it is of course a problem somewhere, but where? I tried to search on the code of error on the net + of this Web site, but nothing helped.
In addition, Windows stops also recognize my Creative Zen MP3 player. In Device Manager, it appears as an MTP device with a yellow exclamation point and a "this device cannot start (Code 10)". I've especially tried to Fix It, but this requires Windows PowerShell (928439 KB) must be installed and it also settled with a 80070005 error code.
Sorry if the last piece of info belongs to another forum, but I believe that the problems are related (the same?).
Hope someone can help, as I'm getting a little frustrated.
Thank you and best regards
MartinOriginal title: error code 80070670 (under Vista SP2)
Hi Robear,
I disabled Defender because the 3rd party software that I use was recommended to me as being superior to the Defender. But maybe this recommendation is outdated? I disabled Defender during my first installation of Vista, and 'yes' I have updated Defender on the first day without problems so far.By the way my system has just updated this morning without any problems with three updates for Vista and one for the office.
Thank you for your efforts to help me beat this problem,

Continue to receive attempts to install KB955430 but get the same error and does not install. Repeated reboots do not help. This has happened for several months.
Well, Carl, I have only 2 suggestions at this point.
1. start a free incident request for updated Windows support on the problem
https://support.Microsoft.com/OAS/default.aspx?Gprid=65272. because the SP2 has not been installed (or even offered), start a free SP2 (see previous answer) support incident. Who knows? He might be able to help solve what SP2 & KB955430 installed. ~ Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (that is to say, mail, security, Windows & Update Services) since 2002 ~ WARNING: MS MVPs represent or work for Microsoft
