Try to reinstall Windows 7 on an Inspiron 7720 - "OS not found" error

Hello

Then; I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 7720 with a reformatted hard drive and I need to reinstall windows 7. I do not have the original relocation provided with this exact laptop DVD but I don't have any Dell laptop to another (a Studio 1558) and another disc of Windows 7 from a desktop computer (drives and OS that was on the laptop before the failure of HARD drive are all Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - Bit). When I turn on the laptop with a drive and hit F12 and then select ' CD/DVD/CD-RW Drive' in the boot options screen displays "Operating system not found" immediately and remains on the screen until you restart.

I perform a full diagnostic check and everything going on, I made sure the CD - RW drive is no. 1 in boot priority (not imagine that questions if I manually select it). The HARD drive and CD - RW drive are detectable in the BIOS too... I have no idea what the problem is, any help will be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks in advance,

Looks like the optical drive may be defective... You must try the new installation via the USB port. At this point, I would recommend arm SecureBoot and UEFI. Clean then install Windows 10 RS1:

I have an Acer Aspire 5516, with pre-installed Windows Vista. I didn't know that it did not come with a recovery disk UNTIL my system crashed! During a routine virus scan, I got a blue screen saying a major problem has been found and the system has been shut down. I followed the instructions to gracefully shut down my laptop. When I turned this back on after the "Acer" logo he went to a black screen with info on my computer and the last line States "not found operating system". That's when I discovered there was no recovery disc & it is integrated into the system. To access this system you we F8 to enter safe mode, then Alt F10 to access 'erecovery management system. Neither one of these functions operate! Still getting the black screen with "operating system" not found I have a Windows XP my laptop previous. What I was wondering is if I can load on my Acer, possibly on a partition, in order to be able to get into my laptop and save all of my files? I'm terrified of losing everything I have! I have thousands of pictures that I can't replace. If anyone can help please do! I am on a very limited income & can not really afford professional help. Thank you very much in advance!

    Hello

normally with an Acer you press Alt + F10 at startup to start the hidden recovery partition recovery, not F8, then this combo

but you do not have an option to save your data, that

in daily use acers normally have a system partition, a partition of data to save your data, etc. to and also this hidden partition recovery

    and read this on data recovery, too;

    Data recovery

    1. remove the hard drive and it slave in another computer

2 buy or borrow a USB disk drive hard put in yout case then plug it into another computer and read the hard drive like this

    3. try Knoppix

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

BUT this method 3 depends on your hardware in the computer that failed

read this information about method 3:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm

Download the Vista software from the link above.

After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1 in the boot order.

Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

    Hello

I saw the 0x0000007B BSOD caused by trying to install XP on a disk hard while the BIOS is designating the reader as AHCI instead of IDE. XP has no native AHCI drivers, resulting in a stop 7B. Unless the PC had originally Vista or Win 7, but it might be useful to check that it is not likely.

If the BIOS is set to AHCI, you could do one of three things (depending on whether your PC has a floppy drive)...

1 find the Setup F6 disk on AHCI support at installation time (start with the manufacturer's website if you do not already have such a thing). Watch the very hit F6 prompt early in the installation process.

    2. change the setting in BIOS on IDE / ATA

    3. create a new "slipstreaming" installation disc drivers AHCI in the existing installation disc, see http://www.nliteos.com/index.html

After the back if your BIOS is IDE / ATA

So, I don't know what to do. I tried searching on google and found a set, but talk of computer that I couldn't begin to understand. Basically, what I consider somewhere or can I fix it myself? I just paid for a new disk of Windows XP SP3, so I'm not looking forward to having to pay someone to use it.

    Hello

    ·         Windows XP came preinstalled on your laptop?

    ·         If so, you have a recovery partition?

    ·         Where did you buy the disc of Windows XP SP3 for?

nvrd32.sys file is a chipset driver and must be installed via floppy F6 during initial installation.

Method 1: To do this, follow these steps.

    a. you can download the chipset drivers from Toshiba Web site and copy it to a floppy drive.

    b. press F6 at the start of the installation of Windows XP.

    c. follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers for the chipset.

Method 2: You can contact Toshiba to restore to factory on the laptop.

How to do a clean install of Windows XP

Start by changing the BIOS setting to start from the CD drive first.
    Then see below:

Also, make sure you have the drivers you need for your mother, video card
    card, sound card, etc.
    Try Belarc Advisor: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
He did a good job of providing a wealth of information, including key software codes
and you will need drivers for devices.

If you perform a clean installation on an existing PC which has XP already installed:
Check your code CD Key corresponds to what Belarc Advisor reports to your existing installation.
Note: Windows OEM installs usually come with a sticker on the PC or laptop and may not match the installed key factory.

Note: A number of vendors now supply restore CD or a restore hard disk partition
and, usually, do not provide a Windows XP CD.

  • I can't solve this problem: "Error loading C:\WINDOWS\awuvomas.dll the specific module is not found." Can help you!

    Original title: cannot find awuvomas.dll

I can't solve this problem: "Error loading C:\WINDOWS\awuvomas.dll the specific module is not found."  Can help you!

It is sometimes easy to get rid of the error message by doing something like disable the startup item in msconfig (if you can still find), but I suggest you fix the problem and difficulty not only the symptom of the problem by simply deleting the startup message.
I would also not recommend you start digging in the registry to try to find the startup item and remove it unless you have a backup of your system or at least a backup of your registry, because there is no 'Cancel' or 'quit without saving changes' option in regedit.  If you make a mistake, that's all.
These ideas relieve 'rapid' and sometimes risky of the symptom if they not even work at all, but they can't actually solve the problem.  Also, I'd be suspicious of ideas that begin with the words "try."  You don't need to try things, you need to fix things.  You don't need to try ideas that might work, you must do something that will always work all the time.
Here are the detailed instructions that protect you and solve your problem in the 'right' way.
There is very little. DLL files that should be loaded from the C:\WINDOWS folder and is not one of them.  If you do not have a good explanation for the name of the file in a Google search, the chances are good that your system is currently or has been infected by malware.
A "Cannot find...". ', ' Failed to start..., "Could not load..." ». "Might not work... "" Cannot run ""error loading... ". "or"specific module could not be found"message at startup is usually related to the malware that has been configured to run at startup, but the referenced file has been removed after a malware scan, leaving behind him a startup item or the registry entry pointing to a file that does not exist.
It might be a removal of malicious software or an application not installed.  The entry may have a curious looking name since it was probably generated at random when the malware was installed. If you search your system for the referenced file, you may not find.
Windows attempts to load this file but cannot locate because the file has been deleted for most probably during an analysis of the malware. However, an orphaned associate of remainders of startup parameter or registry entry and tells Windows to load the file when you start or connection.
So you should delete the referenced entry Windows stop trying to load or run the file. It may or may not be included in the registry, but you can find it.  Autoruns (see below) you get the elements no matter where it is.

You must be sure to solve the problem and not just fix the symptom of the problem by simply relieving your message - system is not a fix (there is a difference).

If you just locate and uncheck the item in msconfig, which disables the element but does not remove the reference to the element of false starting your computer.   The msconfig program is not a Startup Manager, that's a troubleshooting tool.  Disabling things in msconfig to put an end to the messages and think that your problem is solved is short-sighted and leave behind him a sloppy XP configuration.  Just disable the display of a start-up error message should not count as a 'solution' to the problem.
If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can find and remove the reference directly from there or remove it using a popular third-party tool called Autoruns.  The problem can always be found in the registry well.
Before making any changes to your registry by hand or with third-party tools, don't forget to first make a backup of the registry
. There is no cancellation or exit without saving the option in regedit.
Here is a link to a popular registry backup tool:
You can also use the Autoruns to find the element of start remains little matter where he's hiding.  Autoruns does not install anything on your computer.  It will display all startup locations where the reference may be then you can turn it off or remove it completely.  Here is the download link for Autoruns:
Run Autoruns.exe and wait that he at the end of the filling of the list of entries.
When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information.  You are really interested only a few sections.
The problem is usually to start the system or the user startup entries, then click the connection tab and see if the startup item is there.
Scroll through the list and look for a boot entry associated files in the error message.
If you can't find on the connection tab, look in any tab.
You can also click file, search to search for logon, or any tab for all or part of the name of the element.
Right-click on the offending entry and choose Remove.  If you are not sure what it is, you can just turn it off, restart and if the problem is resolved and things are functioning normally and everything works fine, then remove the offending entry.  If you don't see it in Autoruns, you may edit the registry and remove the item from your startup folder it.  Autoruns shall display the same information however.
Given that your system has or has had an infection, follow up with this:
Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:

No matter what you use for malware protection, follow these steps:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.

    Hello

Usually when you see messages like this when you start the computer, this means that a file has been uninstalled, but the reference to this file in the startup list remains intact.

When the Start Up of the list (the programs that start when the computer starts) is read the system searches for this file and of course can't find it, you see the "not found" error message

Press the Windows Logo key + R to start the box run.

Type msconfig.exe in the Open box, and then click OK.

    Click the Startup tab.

Expand the command column and look for the line with the same name of _NowIntoDT.vbs .

Remove the check mark from this line.

    Click apply/OK.

    Restart the computer.

    Let us know the result.

Thank you for using Windows 7
