  I reinstalled SmartView twice and made the next round as well:
  
  1. copy the HsAddIn.dll, the HsSpread.dll, the HyperionSmartTag.dll and the HsTbar.xla in the Bin folder.
  Path: < drive >: \Hyperion\SmartView\Bin
  
  2. paste it on the Add-Ins folder for this user.
  Path: C:\document and settings\ < user > \ApplicationData\Microsoft\AddIns

  Start - Run - regsvr32 (space) - drag the HsAddIn.dll to re-record.
  Go to tools - AddIns - browser for HsTbar.xla in the AddIns folder, and then click ok.

  I got exactly the same problem with a particular user. It has something to with excel. If you google the error you'll find. To work around the error, I copied the dll in the "System32" folder and saved. Although the intention is for the add-in or in the folder of Hyperion, the user doesn't have a problem since place the dll in the folder root Windows.

  Thanks for the file INF. I ck'ed for driver updates and I have the latest drivers installed.  I got the sound working on the TV by hanging the audio output of the PC to the entrance of the TV with the HDMI cable in place for video. It's the simplest solution to this problem, so I took it.

  I really hope someone can help with this. I googled to death for two days and found nothing. I'm at my wits end. I installed CF8 on Windows XP Pro on IIS5.1 with several sites. I am also using Flex 3. I'm trying to get a simple helloworld application to work with a flash remoting CFCs. When I run it, in the error dialog box, I get this error include:

I can't understand for the life of me how to get this url to work in the new site? I also tried to add the JRunScripts virtual directory in my new site like this proposed site and he can still find it.

  Hallefrickinglujah! I finally got to work. I'll post the answer hear to help someone in the future.   Make sure you just after you create it, you go into IIS and give permissions on Scripts and executables - run it is a drop down in the properties of the virtual directory dialog box. Good luck!

  Method 1: Restore the default settings of the BIOS WARNING: this procedure may involve changing the semiconductor (CMOS) settings of the computer's complementary metal oxide and by changing the BIOS of the computer.
