  I bought directly from Adobe Lightroom download.  I literally spent hours trying to get this program downloaded on my macbook.  My computer is brand new.  I tried to download for Safari, Firefox and Chrome.  It seems better to work with chrome, but the end result is always the same.  I get to the part where I have to open the box to complete the installation.  I'm going through all the steps and the message I get, is that installation is complete.  All this sounds great, but there is no Lightroom anywhere on my computer!  Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

  You should be able to move your cursor to the top of the screen and the menu bar will fall.  So, you start with

  

  Drag the slider to the top of the screen against the edge and hold that and you should see

  

  Click the button of "green".  This should take you out of mode full-screen Mail.

  Command + control + F should do it too.

  Also when you have the cursor at the top of the screen and the menu bar comes down, you could also use Mail-> view-> full screen output

  You should also be able to use the command + Tab to switch to another application
