Question of E5 - 772 - lack of usb driver

I have had this problem since I bought this computer-a way 4 months ago. In Device Manager, it always says that usb 2.0 - crw pilot is missing and so far I could not fix. Should I try refreshing Windows or is there another solution? I am running Windows 8.1 btw.

Help, please.

This is the USB 2.0 card reader:

  • How many movies high def. can fit on a 16GB USB DRIVE?

Hi all! I am a newbie with tech stuff, so please bear with me.
I bought a Kogan STB with 1 TB PVR to record my Semi-HD TV HD movies.

It is said to save, you must use a USB key.  There is no internal hard drive. A good question here is to ask: "what do mean 1 TB PVR? I wrongly assumed that the STB has come with a 1 TB internal hard drive.

Using a 16GB USB DRIVE, how many movies can stand on it?

I don't want a cut film to Midway, due to lack of space.

Is there a way to determine how long (in MB or GB) is a movie?

Video recorders usually tell you, in hours and minutes, how much space you have left on your hard drive. But it is that once you save something on a USB do you find what is excluded in this regard.

I'd appreciate any help any of you could give me.
    Thank you!
    The Steffie.

The size required for the storage of a recorded program will depend on the format used and the length of the film. The term high definition is just simply not enough information to quantify an answer appropriate.

Regarding your 16 Gb USB Thumb drive, you'd be much better off getting an external hard drive 1 TB or 2 TB with a USB connection and an external power source. This should not back you more than just a little more than a hundred dollars or more. Thunbdrive 16 GB is just not made for the task you ask of him.

If the STB Kogan has no settings to adjust for the quality of the recording, simply record a half-hour program and use it as a guide for future recordings, multiplying the space required by the difference of recording time.

  • USB drive not readable on the Satellite A665-13W

    Hello

I have the following problem. I have Kingston DataTraveler HyperX 64 GB (USB 3.0) by car and it is perfectly readable on other PCs without worrying if I connect it to the USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 ports.

The device is detected in Windows 7 64-bit on Toshiba Satellite A665-13W and I see it in Device Manager. He invites me to open the disk E: (NTFS volume), but it looks empty when I open it in Explorer Windows with a certain delay when Explorer seems to scan drive.

I see some errors in the event viewer such as:
Event ID 11: driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Harddisk1\DR2

But when I connect for example Patriot 8 GB USB drive it works without problem. When I boot Windows 7 in safe mode, the Kingston DataTraveler HyperX 64 GB drive is connected, and I can read it.

What should I do to make it readable without going into safe mode?

I have the latest BIOS 2.30, I tried to enable/disable USB legacy support, I tried the fast/normal startup, I tried to install the latest Intel Chipset drivers, I tried all USB ports, including one that can be used as eSATA port, but without success. I also uninstalled the recognized device driver and let Windows detect the device again and reinstall the driver, but also without success. I also disabled power management option to disable device, without success.

When I start in normal mode, I can't read NTFS volume. When I boot in safe mode I can read. The USB works on other PC in normal mode. Old USB 2.0 USB key works in normal mode. Strange. It must be a firmware problem or driver in my opinion. If it is a hardware problem or device the device would not work in safe mode!

Are USB 3.0 64 GB of storage devices that are compatible with Toshiba laptops with USB 2.0 ports?

There could be a problem of compatibility between the USB controller and the USB key.
    This compatibility questions aren't unusual.

But I m wondering if you could try to fix this in the other direction:
First check to see if the USB flash memory stick would appear in disk management

    Panel-> management-> disk management computer

Here you will see all the partitions on the HARD disk and the USB connected.
Check if you can format the USB key once more.

If the USB does not appear here, try this method:
Start the console by typing CMD
Then type the command: diskpart and press enter
Now, type command: automount enable and press enter

Now, close all windows and restart the laptop.

  • Superdrive Apple USB drive problem

Situation: The internal superdrive on my MacBook 2009 stop working while I bought a new USB Superdrive.  And only after I plugged it in, has indicated that it is incompatible with my computer.  After reviewing the advice here, I said that most of the optical USB drives on the market are compatible with my computer, so it's something to look at.  However, this year I plan to get a new MacBook, date at which I will need an optical drive that works with newer computers.

Question: Will be one of the current after the market of optical drives work with the new MacBook? Or should I just keep the Apple Superdrive that I currently have to use?

    Thank you in advance.

No first hand experience, but I think that number of external optical drives from third party works pretty much any computer that has USB (and much less expensive than the Superdrive).  The only glitch, I know is that application Apple DVD Player can bother but there is a harmless hack that gets around that, or you can use an alternative player such as VLC (I never use DVD player).

You can browse the web site OWC/mac - ventes.com.  If you know exactly what you want and need no support there are many places to watch it's maybe a dollar or two cheaper but every time that I'm not sure I call them and ask and am happy to spend the little extra to support the customer.

  • Updated the BIOS via bootable USB drive

I want to update the BIOS by using the ISO image provided. I want to write this image a usb, then on startup, the bios update. How to create bootable USB drive.

My system is E430, although the question is pretty generic.

    Hi again, ahaider7

I don't think that a program would be necessary. However, after doing more research, I'm not sure the work process. In addition, update the BIOS via USB is not supported, because as far as I know. If you want to update the BIOS of your machine, I highly recommend using the utility to update the BIOS. You can also burn the .iso to a CD and the image file.

    Kind regards

  • No compatible USB driver

Hello everyone, I had a problem after in place upgrade to windows 10.
the usb driver is completely does not work. If I plug any usb device kind he'd jump as unknown device in Device Manager.

all installed on USB contoller on Device Manager works. But if I go to properties > event, it will appear (configured) device not migrated and null notification

my laptop: vaio EVS 14126 cxb
usb driver: chipset family Intel (r) 7 series \c216
OS: windows 10 unilingual home. version Build 10.0.10586 1511

    what I tried:
1 reinstall the driver from the manufacturer's original (the most recent driver is 2013, and I do not think that this support would win 10)
    2. I tried updating using the driver intel update but nothing found (there is no compatible driver)

no idea how to solve this problem? recovery is out of the question since I accidently deleted the recovery image

I have upgraded and also installed the driver from the link. I've already updated with vaio update, but the problem still exists.

in fact 2 days ago, I did own install.i use boot inherited and closed in secure boot mode, because UEFi will not work. then I deleted the partition because it used acvept GPT so I use NTFS installed instead.then victory 10.

now, all is working.i can probably guess when I update to win 8.1 to 10 something goes wrong.
in any case, the problem is resolved. Thanks for the reply.

  • USB driver is missing

I have an application that was written in LV7.0, when XP was the machine of choice.  At the time, I could get away with a copy of my .dll file of the USB driver of development in the same folder with my application.  I have recently moved my app up to LV2010 and am now eager to enjoy the driver store.  Installs the USB driver in the driver store.  Therefore, I don't want to keep a local copy of the .dll file, but instead, I want to use the one that is loaded from the store.  Problem is when I deleted my .dll to my working folder, my vi broken.  They don't seem to know how to find the .dll file that is installed in the store.  Anyone know how to fix this?  Thank you.

Most likely, it is entered in your windows/system32 folder - at least in XP.  I did not actually with the structure of directory for Windows7, but I imagine it is the same or similar.  Perhaps that things get slightly more complicated with the 64-bit version, I don't know...

  • Windows 7 SP1 RC messes up 2 USB drives

I had this problem before and removed the SP1 and it cures the problem, now, after some update, he's back.  I have 6 USB drives on my desktop HPE - 390T.  Two of these drives keep popping up a message "this device can operate more quickly if connected to a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port."  Well, it is a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port.  I checked the drivers and all six USB ports have the same version of the driver.  When you check the Device Manager on these two ports, it has yellow triangle with exclamation point and that is the message by double clicking on "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52) "I tried to update the drivers but it comes back that I have the latest drivers, which as I said, are exactly the same as the other 4 USB ports.

For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

  • external USB drives not recognized under xp pro 64

I bought a genuine version of XP Pro 64 to load on my computer and because Win 7 froze with drivers nVidia graphics.

When I plug a recently bought Seagate Goflex or one of the new Western Digital external hard drives, they are not recognized.

They do not show on my computer or disk management at all.

They appear in Device Manager with a yellow question mark big under 'other devices '.

I right click on the hard drive in the Device Manager to update the driver, and it always fails.

Before ask you, these USB drives work perfectly on my other XP Home 32 System. The cables are good.

I tried different ports, front and rear... no good.

My system XP 64 Prp is updated w/Windows update and software chip to the motherboard.

Strangely, I have a hard drive WD Passport USB 500 Gb one-year-old that works fine on XP 64 system.

WD technicians say that I am the only one with this problem. PlugNPlay needs no driver, what do say.

I also have IDE/SATA USB cable w / the power cable, I use to connect my old internal drives.

Works fine on the XP Home 32, but I get the error "USB to ATA/ATAPI Bridge" in the device with the 64-bit System Manager.

Yes these devices are all "turned on."

Something is missing on the XP 64 system.

  • How to make a portable USB drive use the same drive letter all the time

    Original title:

I have many removable hard drives from Toshiba.  Use them for photography.  I usually connect simply, transfer photos from the DSLR camera (images raw, very big, not a camera point/rod).  When I plug in, computer automatically selects a player... F, g, H: by M or N.

Then, I use Adobe Lightroom for adjustments.  Once they are imported into Lightroom it keeps track of this record, they were on.

    PROBLEM:

If I unplug the removable hard drive, plug in at a later date, computer can randomly choose a different example M instead of H letter.
LightRoom is so impossible to find photos/images.  I would then have to re - import and start any setting completely from the beginning.

    Question:
How to direct the computer to select the same drive when I plug in a removable hard drive.

Plug in a hard drive removable, computer selects H:, can I import into LightRoom, I disconnect the removable hard drive, a week later I want to make adjustments more photography, connect the removable hard drive and FORCE/DIRECT COMPUTER TO SELECT H: AGAIN (or whatever of the original letter was).

    Hope it makes sense.

    Jim

    Hello

There is a way to assign a static drive on an external USB drive letter, so you always get the same drive letter for the drive.

Click on the following link and follow the steps to change a drive letter.

Change, add, or remove a drive letter

  • Automatic execution of the batch file at the connection of the USB drive

I created a batch file that checks the drive e. the presence of a specific file, and if there, copy it to a location on the hard drive. (Drive E is where all USB drives see the place through my window of Windows Explorer.) I would like to set up my computer so that this batch file is executed whenever such a device is plugged into the USB port. How can I accomplish that?

Otherwise, is it possible to incorporate the Attaché-USB-player status in the batch file itself and just leave that batch file running at any time? I used "IF EXISTS E:\*.*", but that is not do me much good, because I have to keep control of this condition again and again, and eventually the batch file gets tired of the audit and said that the drive does not exist.

  • WMP11 does not recognize USB drives

I have 2 laptops, the two Vista running. Both have WMP 11. We recognize USB drives in WMP11 and allows playlist to copy to them. The other laptop recognize USB drives (I have a variety of brands and sizes) in Win Explorer, will play the music of their share in WMP11 but will not recognize USB keys for use with copy of the lists of reading or synchronization. Sync, refresh devices does not help. Same result if USB is directly connect to the laptop or connected via USB multi hub. USB key works perfectly in all other respects, but WMP11 is unable to locate one of them.

    Hi MarcGG,

    ·        At the devices detected before?

    ·        Do you remember the last changes before the show?

    1. check if the sync settings are correct. To do this, follow these steps.

    a. open Windows Media Player.

    b. click the arrow below the Sync tab, point to the device and then click Advanced Options.

    c. the Properties dialog box for your device is displayed. Tab sync, box start sync when device connects checkbox.

    d. restart the media player.

    e. the next time you want to sync, connect the device to your computer, click the Sync tab, and then click Start synchronization.

For more information, please see the link below: set up a device to sync in Windows Media Player:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Set-up-a-device-to-sync-in-Windows-Media-Player

    2. Add a device to sync in Windows Media Player.

    a. start Windows Media Player and connect your portable device into a USB port on your computer. A box of "Windows Media Player ‑‑ Device Setup" appears, showing that he recognized the device and provides an opportunity for you to name your device.

    (b) read how the player will sync your device, which is directly under where you type the name of the device. If storage of the device is more than 4 gigabytes, for example, and your library on Windows Media Player fits on this device, the player chooses automatic.

    c. selection of automatic syncing means that your device will reflect all your Windows Media Player library and it will do so that whenever it is connected. Click on "Finish".

    d. to synchronize only some of your library when the player chose automatic, you can choose what will sync when you open Windows Media Player. Click on the portable device in the right pane and drag the items you want to synchronize with this device.

    e. selection of a manual synchronization indicates that the player has detected that the portable device has no place for your entire library. Click on "Finish". Open Windows Media Player, select the portable device in the right pane and drag the items you want to synchronize with this device.
