Trying to get Windows 7 on HP G60-519WM laptop

I got a set of recovery DVD from HP for my system and tried to recover the operating system.  All loaded fine and went well until he takes "Setup prepares your computer for first use.  At this point, I got this message, "the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error."  Windows Setup cannot continue.  To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and restart the installation.  Well... 2 relocation later, I'm still stuck at this point.  No one knows how the Windows to installation of this point?  I'd appreciate any help you could provide. »

  • Cannot get beyond error 0x8024D007 when trying to get Windows Update or Microsoft Update

I tried to get the Windows Update and Microsoft Update on a Windows XP computer as well, but I got the error 0x8024D007 with both.  In view of this error message on your site, I did the registry fix and still no change.

It took me awhile, but I found a solution that worked for me.

    1. Remove Service Pack 3 - if in Control Panel , you do not have an option delete, just Start, run and type: c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe

After removing SP3 restart. Now, go to Windows Update and it should load fine. Go ahead and install high priority updates and reboot again.

    2. reinstall Service Pack 3 - it is better to just download the .exe for SP3 file and run it from the machine rather than using Windows Update to download and install. Before you try to run the .exe however, go ahead and avoid the "Access denied" error by typing this command in a command prompt window:

    secedit/configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb/verbose (Pay attention to the spaces)

Now you can reinstall the SP3 and Windows Update should work again. If you get hooked to the last part of the installation which is "Scene cleanup", make sure that you have given him enough time to finish (a few hours) then simply open the the Task Manager and end of the process. Reboot, and you're good to go.

    * This fix also worked on a Server 2003 that had the same problem. Uninstalled and reinstalled SP2 using the same method. It is now up and running and pulling on the updates.

  • G60-519WM laptop memory upgrade

    Howdy, y ' All,.

I intend to install an application that requires 4 GB. My G60-519WM (Celeron 900 2.2 GHz, Win7 Pro SP1 64-bit, fully patched) has 3 GB of PC2 - 6400. CPU - Z shows that slot 1 (on the motherboard I guess) contains a 2 GB PC2-6400 SO-DIMM. Slot 2, accessible from the bottom of the case, although I have not opened yet, contains 1 Go PC2-6400.

The mobo includes the Intel GL40 chipset, which supports up to 4 GB of DDR3 at 800 MHz, according to the data sheet of Intel. Can I use PC3-6400 in my system? I ask because I've seen systems where the BIOS does not support modules of memory than the chipset. If so, how don't disassemble the case to get to the BAR on the mobo?

I hope a PC3-6400 upgrade improve performance a bit and slightly increase the battery life.

    André.

  • Get the error code 80070005 when trying to get windows update for HP w2207 Monitor wide screen.

I have a Compaq Presario SR5410F computer with a large screen Hp w2207h with windows home premium and service pack 2. The computer is about 1 year and 3 months. About 6 months ago, I have an update of windows for my monitor and it failed several times when I tried to install it. I got ahold of someone at microsoft but never got an answer to my problem. The person finally told me to hide the update so it wouldn't keep trying to install. Now I have another update to my monitor and it will not be installed. All other updates installed fine. When I try to install, I get failed and the 80070005 error code.
Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? Sure would appreciate it.

The post directly above it, the journal of Kateyes, has the following questions:

1 looks like there is a proxy or some sort of 'intermediary' between the Windows Update software and internet.  Usually, it is a kind of dial-up, or download accelerator software or maybe internet software such as content filtering (parental control).  If you have any of these please disable and try again.

    2. you may have a proxy configured incorrectly.  Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools / Internet Options / Connections / LAN Settings button.  Here, uncheck the "Use a Proxy Server" if it is checked.  Otherwise, uncheck the box for "Automatically detect proxy settings" and close IE and try again.

    3. the problem could be another connectivity type of questions, please try the suggestions in this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/836941 - make this one article first, very good on this type of error
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/Windows-Update-error-80072efd

I hope this helps.  The question is purely related connectivity, so something related to the internet connection does not work correctly.  It probably isn't and issue with your ISP, but more with the settings of Windows or other applications installed on your computer that are at the origin of the conflict. • Trying to get Windows user name before loading the page for the report filter

    Hello

I have a page element I want to switch to Windows user using this in the HTML page header

    var WshNetwork = new ActiveXObject("WScript.Network");
    $s ('P1_TEMP_USER', WshNetwork.UserName);

I call the function using onload = "getWindowsUserid (); ' the body HTML page

Gets the value, but it comes after the page is rendered for my report cannot use it. How can I get this value set before the traffic report?

I also tried to use $a_report ('R4346513312800348', '1','1 ', ' 1') to refresh the report but seems not to do anything, no errors, but my section of the page is always set to null.

As I said article is planned, but I think that it's too late. If I do a view source of the element does not have the value, but if I look at the State of the session, I see the value, and if I refresh the page then the report sees. I hope it's just an order of emission events. Please advise.

    Hello APEX_MAN,

You can also create a Page 0, define an element hidden in an HTML area on it and place region the region HTML Source:

Then you should be able to use P0_REMOTE_USER throughout the application.

'Course, which will be executed with each page is rendered. If it is a concern, then another idea is to point a page that is guaranteed to be hit before hitting some of your report pages, like the connection or the House - but be careful of the process 'reset the cache of the page' (like most login pages).

    Hope this helps,
    John

  • BIOS not taken in charge trying to get Windows 10. Now what.

Have no idea what it means when I get a "Bios not supported" message when you try to install Windows 10. What I have to do.

Check with the company that built your PC to see if they have a BIOS update that you install, or if they have an option in their BIOS to change mode (some computers may).  If they say no to these two options, then you should not install Windows 10 on this material.

If the Upgrade Wizard of Windows 10 becomes blocked or unresponsive to 99%, wait at least 4 to 7 hours. If the installation program does not progress, close the wizard and restart your computer. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
