Trying to play my xbox 360 using my PC HP Touchsmart 520 as a monitor

I try to use my HP touchsmart PC 520 as a monitor for my xbox 360. I recently bought a usb cable to hdmi but I don't know how to operate it. Anyone know how I can do this?

Thank you.

Unfortunately, I have bad news for you.  Yours is the British model HP TouchSmart 520 - 1010uk Desktop Basic has no HDMI input port.

It seems that you won't be able to use it as screen for your Xbox 360. It is the unfortunate downside of buying a base model.

  • Is it possible to connect an Xbox 360 console to a HP TouchSmart 520-1030?

I got this HP TouchSmart for over 2 years. This question comes to mind. Can you connect an Xbox 360 to a HP TouchSmart 520-1030? I looked and looked and found nothing useful on the web.

    Specifications are: HP TouchSmart 520-1030
    Intel Core i3-2120
    4 GB of ram

    No HDMI

    Hello again ScreenNameHere,

Thank you for responding to my message asking for additional information. The only way I can see to connect your HP TouchSmart 520-1030 Desktop PC would be the use of a USB HDMI adapter. I am also including the IDT High Definition Audio Driver Update for your computer, the USB connection will not have the same sound quality and you want to make sure that you have up-to-date drivers to get the best sound, you can leave the connection.

Please re-post with the results of this post. Thank you for bringing This problem on the HP Forums. Enjoy your day!

  • Controller XBOX 360, used for mice

OK... I just bought the game of the year Elderscrolls oblivion eddition and I bought a XBOX 360 controller to use considering how it is compatible with windows 7... Everything works great with one exception. The right analog stick on the controller is supposed to control the movements of camera but it does nothing, so I have to resort using the mouse which can be quite the pain. How can I set the analog stick right to act like the mouse to control the camera? Its very important and any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think he was looking for the Oblivion controller settings.

  • Problems of controller XBOX 360 using Vista PC

I bought an XBOX 360 Wireless Controller to my PC which is Vista 32. It worked at first and now it does not work... There is a lot of ppl with this problem with no will... Please help?

    cuzandlisa,
I have not had this problem myself.  But you might want to look at the troubleshooting on the Xbox site.
This page is especially for the Xbox to the PC controllers:
    http://support.Xbox.com/support/en/us/NXE/hardware/accessories/accessoriesforPC/ControllerforWindowsList.aspx

Hope that gives the info you need.  FYI: My first thought would be to uninstall\reinstall the driver.  Also make sure that your PC is up to date with updates.

Windows 7 was not my idea, but it still rocks! Soli Deo Gloria!

  • Trying to get on Xbox Live using the internet connection in the hotel.

I'm staying in a hotel until April, and I cannot lift the Xbox Live and running. I am able to connect and download content, but no matter what I do, I can not send messages or play games. I tried just using the Xbox built in wireless, using the command "getmac" and inserting another address MAC for my Xbox, and I tried to connect via a bridge on my laptop connection (that is able to take full advantage of the internet), or they did the trick. The hotel staff shows that he didn't there no blocks on the Xbox live as well. Can someone help me or point me in the right direction?

  • How can I block xbox 360 using my internet in my house

Hi all someone please help :) my daughter goes to the line with his xbox and that is using my internet I would like to know how to block it because my pc don't move when she's playing a game online even if I tell him to get off I need to know how to block this thank you

Delete the network connection of the Xbox. Either find the Ethernet cord (it's a small grey thin wire at the back of the Xbox with a clip to hold it in place) or remove the wireless connector (the white thing with antennas on the back of the Xbox) as she connects.

If the Xbox is one of the newer slim models, the without wire is integrated, so I don't know what to do.

  • tried to connect my 5.1 sound system to my touchsmart 520 but not to activate the rear speakers.

They work very well on my other desktops (I tried 3). Is this a problem with the heartbeat software came with the computer? I downloaded the latest driver and lost a lot of time, but nothing helped. Can anyone help?

    Hello

I was checking the connectivity for your for a 5.1 speaker system, and it seems the 5 speakers are connected to the subwoofer, and from there to the subwoofer, you will need to connect 3 cables for the sound card. If that is correct, you cannot connect to our unit in this way because we have only one audio out port... so it is the reason for the 2.1 System...

  • Trying to connect Xbox 360 to Internet using laptop with Windows 7, but am not finding the 'Share' button in the network connections and I don't have the ability to "bridge connections".

Sorry about the long title, but it pretty much says my problem. I am trying to connect my Xbox 360 to my Windows7 laptop with the ethernet cable. I have a home network that the wireless laptop works out of. When I go into the control panel network connections section, I can't find the 'Sharing' tab that says that every tutorial I can find there should be. Tutorials can say to go to the screen that shows your wireless connections, highlight your home network and the network to your Xbox and then right click and press "bridge connections". I do not have the option for bridge connections. Can anyone help?

After having connected the laptop and Xbox with an Ethernet cable, you should be able to enable sharing of Internet connection on the wireless network connection:

    1. Make sure that the two network connections are enabled.
    2. Right click on the wireless network connection.
    3. Click on Properties .
    4. Click sharing .
    5. Put a check mark in the check box under Internet connection sharing .
    6. Click OK .

After you enable ICS, not bridging the connections. Boulder computer Maven

  • Xbox 360 atomatic does not detect the investigation period while I use WRT54G

While I have the xbox 360 plugged since the WRT54G just does not detect, man I even use the modem and still does not detect it so I removed the cable from the modem to the xbox 360... I'm confused, I played the xbox 360 before using the xbox 360 of the of my brother and he still connect but now I can't after that I updated the firmware for the wireless, but this isn't a problem, I was still able to detect... Is there a setting that I probably did and I don't know how I did it in the first place

What I do not get in I am able to go on the easy internet wii

It is very important to always check the cable cause I just did and it connects now so problem solved.

  • Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and Windows RT (Surface)

    Hello

I have a Microsoft Surface and would like to try my game controller Xbox 360 Wireless with it that says Microsoft is compatible it seeks here (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/win8/CompatCenter/Home).

I have a play and a cordon of charge I Plug and results in the Xbox controller picked up like "Controller wireless Xbox 360 via Play & Charge Kit" at devices however I don't seem to be able to use the controller to play all games (3D Rocket Riot and Skiddy the slippery Puzzle are the only ones I've tried so far that mention Xbox controllers support).

The controller plugged and pressing the Guide (the middle one), the buttons turns green flash just like its looking for something but do not pick up anything.

    So the big question...

    What I am doing wrong?

I have not tried the controller wireless Xbox 360 on the Surface, but I know that even for general computing, you need a receiver of the controller wireless Xbox 360, not only play & Charge Kit: this device, exactly as his name, cannot charge your controller, and can't do anything else, for example, connect the controller to any other computer , or whatever.

  • Cannot connect Xbox 360 Elite to runnings Windows Vista PC

After surfing the internet for hours, I really need help with this problem...

I am trying to connect my Xbox 360 Elite to my PC running Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit).

I can connect to Xbox Live without any problems, and the Xbox also appears in the network view in Windows (and in WMP11 media sharing).

The Xbox also discovers the PC and COMPUTERNAME:username display on the screen. But when I try to connect the Xbox since it does not work. I have tried many solutions and advice found on the internet, but I can't work.

I also tried to use the Media Center and connect the Xbox as an Extender. Does not work either.

Is there a setting somewhere in Vista that keeps me?

    Hi Christian,

    ·        You receive an error message when you try to connect to the Xbox?

    ·        You are able to access the Xbox from the PC?

You can try to temporarily disable the security software and third-party firewall on the computer and check if you can access the computer of Xbox. If you are able to access, you can contact the manufacturer of security software and firewall manufacturer to check if you need to change the settings. Subsequently re - activate the firewall and security software after verification.

You can also post your question on the xbox forum and check if you can find any suggestion that can be tried to solve the problem of connectivity to the xbox. Access the link below to post your question in the Xbox forum.
