Trying Windows update for disk other than defult. any thoughts?

After recently acquiring a computer with only 19 Gig of hard drive, which I compressed and then after a"short of disk space" notice, I realized that the problem was a result of the accumilation of cumlative updates all truths; for example, "security essentials" and "malwarebytes" as well as the slow windows updates "criticism"; as a result, I bought a 16 GB Flash drive. later, I tried to lead all downloads update for the Flash Player (new drive E :) with no results; Moreover, I spent an amount of time incalculatable copy individual updates after that is investigating whether or not they could be later deleted c: subsequently save them on the new drive E) :.

Then; Is it possible

? Alternatively, if I have to learn how to create an operating system that will comply with my desires (probably no more difficult to find a woman who will do the same thing :))?

Windows Update (automatic updates) will download installers for farmland on the drive with the most free space, but the updates themselves must be installed on the boot drive (usually drive c :)).

To free up space on the startup disk, see this archived and related discussion in another forum-online http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=33827

  • Get the error code 80070005 when trying to get windows update for HP w2207 Monitor wide screen.

I have a Compaq Presario SR5410F computer with a large screen Hp w2207h with windows home premium and service pack 2. The computer is about 1 year and 3 months. About 6 months ago, I have an update of windows for my monitor and it failed several times when I tried to install it. I got ahold of someone at microsoft but never got an answer to my problem. The person finally told me to hide the update so it wouldn't keep trying to install. Now I have another update to my monitor and it will not be installed. All other updates installed fine. When I try to install, I get failed and the 80070005 error code.
Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? Sure would appreciate it.

The post directly above it, the journal of Kateyes, has the following questions:

1 looks like there is a proxy or some sort of 'intermediary' between the Windows Update software and internet.  Usually, it is a kind of dial-up, or download accelerator software or maybe internet software such as content filtering (parental control).  If you have any of these please disable and try again.

    2. you may have a proxy configured incorrectly.  Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools / Internet Options / Connections / LAN Settings button.  Here, uncheck the "Use a Proxy Server" if it is checked.  Otherwise, uncheck the box for "Automatically detect proxy settings" and close IE and try again.

    3. the problem could be another connectivity type of questions, please try the suggestions in this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/836941 - make this one article first, very good on this type of error
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/Windows-Update-error-80072efd

I hope this helps.  The question is purely related connectivity, so something related to the internet connection does not work correctly.  It probably isn't and issue with your ISP, but more with the settings of Windows or other applications installed on your computer that are at the origin of the conflict. • Why is able to save and update the passwords for sites other than those of Blackboard FF?

I am able to save and update passwords on other sites, but not on the Blackboard learn for my University. They force us to change our pw is from time to time, and I think I noticed it after that Blackboard did some updates to their site. It will always load autofill with my old account and password, but not update it. I deleted the password stored and tried to get FF to remember once again on my laptop, but it has not yet asked to save him. I'm guessing that there is a new code or a script for the journal in the procedure? Is there a manual way to enter and update the credentials stored?

Hello, sites can specify that passwords should not be stored (however I do know that if this is the case on the page you are having problems with, since you did not specify which University it affects). as a way to get around this, you can use an addon like this: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/remember-passwords

  • No toolbar, no front or rear, no Firefox button buttons, no Favorites, no window address, not ANYTHING other than the web page, I'm on.

Firefox is in full screen mode. Windows 7. I can't do anything other than read the web page, I'm. There is NO button for navigation or anything else. No toolbar. Nothing. The only way I can close the program must use Ctrl-Alt-Del and use the Task Manager. No way to start Firefox in Safe Mode, no way to reset. Suggestions like hitting Alt or Alt followed by V - T - M do nothing. I've updated plug-ins. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox - no change. It is completely unusable.

If you are in full screen view then hover over with the mouse upward to make the bar appear Navigation and tab bar.

You can click the maximize button in the upper right to leave the mode full screen or empty space of a right-click on a toolbar and use "exit full screen" or press F11.

    Cindy,

Go here: Download Windows 2000 SP3
The full Windows 2000 SP3 can be downloaded from the link under the Network Installation of Windows 2000 SP3.
Save it and then transfer it to the Win2K system, using a Flash DRIVE, USB external hard drive or burn it to a CD.

Don't forget to apply to Win 2 K SP4 then: Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 installation of network for computing professionals
Do it as soon as Windows 2000 is is no longer supported and SP3 will be gone shortly.
