• Tungsten E don't hotsync on Windows 7

  I run my Palm Tungsten E (bought in 2005) using the HotSync Manager 4 without problem.

  I just got a new HP laptop and tried to install the HotSync Manager, the drive did not have software to do the installation.

  I downloaded HotSync Manager 7.0.2 to try to resolve the problem. The result is the same - HotSync does not work and NO error no message to tell me what may be the problem!

  Did anyone had success turning a successful HotSync the Tungsten E Windows.

  I also have an old Tungsten E and now a new laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. I finally understood how to synchronize so here's my story.
  Already said that it works by infrared, so I bought an infrared adapter USB 7780 MOSCHIP (www.conrad.nl) and downloaded driver win7-64 www.moschip.com and installed the infrared adapter.
  I downloaded Palmdesktop 6.22 including hotsync 7.02. I also had to download and install additional conduct for Outlook2007 which I am running.
  Next: setting up hotsync to my Tungsten E account. First make a user account. It's a little tricky because this isn't the username under network parameter, but the name that appears in the upper right of the screen if you synchronize. I also had to cancel my password I got into serious trouble syncing asked a password, although I never had a password configuration in my Tungesten E. go to prefs - security - and cancel your password.
  Then in the hotsync Manager filling out what Sync (contacts, calendar, Outlook etc.). And then connection sto Infarred and network!
  Then set up the connection, placing my infrared USB adaptor near the mt Tungesten E IR. Then go to prefs, connection and I thought choose IR for PC/handheld, but the later which proved to be wrong, so I created my own custom "IR Paul" connection and the connection to the PC and via an infrared connection.
  Next to the prefs - network - service Untitled, username in my case "psalverd", "password" and connection to the IR Paul. Fact
  The Star then tab on the PDA but cancel immediatelt as Tungesten E then well that you put in place to connect with IR tries to connect to usnig a home/cable station. Yo see the Hotsync on your PDA saying menu "hotsync last date-time" with Paul IR. Its the Hotsync icon in the middle of the screen and hotsync tab will now run. On your PC, a window opens showing the progression of your timing, will soon launch a password (no) and then starts the synchronization really.
  
  Hope my story will help someone else. As I'm not a very literate PC users that perhaps not all correct, but it worked for me.

  My wife has a 8330 on Verizon wireless.  She also has a lequipetv.fr account as his e-mail.  I can implement his e-mail to download wireless between lequipetv.fr and her BB, but I can't get them to sync.  Which means, if I delete an email from his account his account on Outlook or webmail, the e-mail message is not removed from his BB.  Is it possible to have an e-mail removed (from Outlook or webmail) automatically delete the email from his BB?

  the BB will communicate with outlook... the BB communicates with the Web server, but because verizon uses POP servers, you want can be done. get a free gmail account and use the IMAP protocol... IMAP will do what you want, especially if you use the gmail app

  POP servers are one such limited technology... its all from the manual controls

• Refine clip in first pro don't synch

  So, here's the thing. I am using Premiere Clip to make an easy cut on my Tablet (iPad 2 Air), but I want to send to the first to refine the cut with Premiere Pro.

  However...

  I'm sitting here with a test project to try to do exactly that. I have a title and I have a next clip (taken from the cloud creative already), then another title.

  -J' I try to send my file to first pressing: "Edit in Premiere Pro.

  -Only the answer I get is: "could not send the project. Impossible to send this creative project cloud because some of your media is always synchronize. Please try again in a few minutes. »

  Now, go to error messages, this one is pretty good. Explains the problem and told me to wait. So I wait... However, I also note icon loading at the top left.

  So, I have this button to see the current download media. Now at 150%... Only to 199% and then back to 0% and start all over (it tries to download the file already taken compared to the Creative clouds).

  This has happened for the past 2 hours.

  1: what a firewall issue?
  2: is this a bug?
  3: why it wont update?

  All tips/hints would be more than welcome.

  The project includes the clips with a duration of about 4-8 minutes? It is the length of the source element , not the duration of stand by occurrences of the element in your timeline.

  If your project contains excerpts from this size, then you almost certainly hit a known issue with clips about 500 MB to 1 GB, a signature which is that the status of the Synchronization dialog box reports download reaches 100%, then resets to 0% and amounts to 200%. In some cases, download completes successfully after reaching 200%, but sometimes it just resets to 0% again.

  We are working on a fix for this problem. In the meantime, I'm afraid there is no work around - at least not for the existing clips that are greater than about 500GB. For future projects, you can follow this issue by keeping your clips in less than 4 minutes.

  For what is a workaround for your immediate goal to launch the Premiere Pro project, the following should work:

  1. Delete the project clips that come from a file of more than 500GB. To facilitate the re - insert a clips in Premiere Pro, you can insert a title in its place with enough information to remind you of what clip go.
  2. Once the synchronization has completed, will publish > edit in Premiere Pro
  3. Use the creative cloud (or some other cloud storage service or Dropbox) to get the large clip from your mobile device, the computer that is running Premiere Pro
  4. In Premiere Pro, open the Adobe video project, import the large clip and add it to the timeline.

  Of course, it is an option if your project also includes other assets that are less than about 500 MB...

  Let us know if your project does not contain clips more than 500 GB. In this case, we will have to continue the investigation to determine what is going wrong in your case.

  I'm trying to transfer the data to a new Tungsten E2. Done this before so easily - not this time. Can't understand why Hot Synch option choose PC to the handheld or PC organizer to option isn't gone. Fear that I deleted the data from the PC with the empty unit (new). No CD with the new device so had to use the download. (I have the CD for my old Tungsten E2).

  I have all my data on my old Tungsten E2, but will not synch until I know for sure that the data can be saved as the good (saved) profile. Read the manuals, but can not find instructions or a good keyword to search for.

  I use it as PDA don' t need and do not want Bluetooth, phone or Internet. This should be easy, but it is not! Help, please. Leave the city soon.

  So quick question here because it will determine how we proceed. Have what version of HotSync you downloaded? 4.2 or 6.2. It's pretty easy to check, just open up to Palm Desktop and chose the Help menu, and then click. The version will be on the new window that opens.

  In my iPhone and MacAir iCloud is in sync, no problem at all.

  You have activated your current photo as photo library system library?

  You do cela Photos > Preferences > General.

  The option 'Use as a Photo library system' should be shaded to indicate that it is your system photo library.  As a library, gave the Photo library system, can be synchronized with iCloud.

  Photos of preferences > general should look like this, when you use the library that you want to synchronize to iCloud.

  

  Photo library system must not be on a drive used by Time Machine.

  Just discovered that, between January 4 and 7 was my last good sync.   Full error msg is

  I use Backup Buddy, Goldmine 6.5, Hotsync 4.1.0 Datebook5 and Palm OS 5.2.1.  Nothing has changed on my computer.  HotSync does not fail, but the contacts and calendar information are not up-to-date in both directions.

  I do a hard reset?  I tried to uninstall / reinstall the conduit of the GoldMine, without success.

  Can't do a restore of backup buddy, because the last good backup of calendar is 4 Jan.  But I went through it, and if I lose the calendar, I can't.  Live contacts on Goldmine, so they are fine and are the most up-to-date.  The calendar is especially on the Palm, because the gold mine don't synch repeating appts well, and it's my life.

• Being probably really stupid, but I can not get my Playlists on my Sansa Clip

  Hello!

  You just bought a Sansa Clip 8 GB for the United Kingdom and I'm very happy with it - many of my CD then tried to get smart (?) transferred by creating a playlist, put a few songs in there and synhcing to the top with Clip - no joy!  The read-only list that I see on the Clip is "GoList" and the only way I can add songs to the one on the camera itself - not ideal but doable.

  Have updated the firmware on the clip to the latest version with no improvement - can't seem to curb any personal playlists - I even tried to create a playlist called 'GoList' to see if ir would crush the GoList playlist on the clip.  There can be no.

  I use the clip with Windows Xp Home Edition (SP3) which has WMP 11.0.5721.5260 and have the unit as automatic detection modes MSC and MTP mode did not work (the computer does not recognize the device)... I think that mode MSC, PlayLists don't synch?

  Any help / advice would be appreciated gratefully.

  Thank you very much - now that I know that playlists are not supposed to synchronize in MSC mode, I'll invest my energy to get the mode MTP to work... just thought I was missing something really obvious.  In terms of achievement of the MTP mode work there are loads of articles and advice in this forum and elsewhere on that - I probably need a update driver MTP or need a better version/reinstall WinXP HE or something like.

  As I am totally new to the unit - and digital music in general (been in the dark ages too long!) I really did not know what, if anything I was doing wrong.  Your answer really helped (and it is not indicated in the user manual or the docs supplied with the device) once again, thanks a lot.

• Tungsten E won't hot synch

  I looked on here you have about this problem and am a little lost. I don't know if my you have bluetooth or not: I use it only for the docs and the techniques of reading (not ' puter tech unfortunately) ebooks. The software installed OK on my Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit machine, but I can't seem to hot synch at all. (I'm wondering if Palm Desktop running in XP compatibility mode could help?) My PC doesn't have bluetooth listed under properties. I don't know how to check the TE of the bluetooth capabilities. The message I get trying to hot synch is:

  "The connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your configuration and try again. »

  (That I have several times, without success.) Even Palm Desktop can't find the USB (Com 1), although I'm assured continuous it will be 'as soon as it is available"(Wha -?) ... I'm not particularly ' puter smart, but it seems that without the Bluetooth on my PC, I might be out of luck? Say it isn't so! (Took me forever to learn my way around this old TE...) Win 7 has yet to do me a favor, either. Impossible to install anything without hassle.)

  Congratulations!

  As long as the other T. E has a different name from HotSync, it should be a piece of cake.  Just do a HotSync and the account must be configured automatically.  (You certainly don't want two devices with the same name of account of HotSync - recipe for disaster.)

• Don't Palm Tungsten E no more sync with Mac

  I have a Palm Tungsten E (OS 4.5.1P) who are no longer sync for my two Macs with OS 10.5.8 but still works fine with my PC computer. IE that Macintosh computers don't even recognize I'm trying to sync and via versa that the tungsten is not Mac, try to synchronize. It's as if I have no attached USB cable (which is how I always sync them there).

  In troubleshooting, I found that my Palm Zire 72 (OS 4.5.2P) can be perfectly synchronized with all these computers. What has changed? Nothing I think. Help please.

  Did you do a reboot on the Mac? Also on the device? Also have you tried a different sync cable?

• Tungsten E2 erased all calendar items. How to restore their desktop PC? Synch clears both.

  One morning recently. I opened my Tungsten E2 and found all the missing calendar events.  Empty. Zero. Zilch. Nada.  Everything was still there, but there is no events.

  Ah, I said to myself, it is of course a good thing that I support this thing to my PC.  So without thinking more, I hotsynched.  Oops.  Now, I have no event on the Palm Desktop and none on the handheld.

  So I looked around until I found a file .bak with events in this document, copied and renamed, and my events are back on the PC.  How can I get back them on the Palm?  Timing, of course, just removes them again.

  Go to hotsync manager and change overwrites the ducts to the computer Pocket Office and then synchronize. Before sync you, you can export your data for backup purposes.

  The best way to protect your data is to export the data in each category of Palm Desktop in a separate folder on your PC.

  Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that suits. Name it something like Palm Desktop data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on this page for the export procedure.

  Make sure you only select everything for the beach in the export window.

  With the data stored in the created folder, make a copy of this file and save it on a USB key, cd - rw or external hard drive.

  Whenever you change in Palm Desktop, export the data that has been changed in this file and save again to external media.

  With this process you can always import the data in Palm Desktop, whenever you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop, or if your computer/hard drive/device crash.

  Hello and welcome to the Community Forums of Palm.

  Palm Desktop 6.2 is not a "patch".  It's a brand new version of Palm Desktop which was published in order to provide users with a Vista compatible version.  I know that this is apparently now the version listed by Palm for XP users, but there is no real reason to use it on the version shipped with your E2.

  What you probably need is just the conduit for Outlook 2007:

  Set up my new laptop and smartphone grabbed me from the user names and passwords in all directions. I thought I configured Firefox with an ACCT. I know that I made the successful synchronization operation so I how do I know if I have an acct Setup. I certainly have one now that I had to register to get help. There are a number of different acct on Firefox?

  Each Mozilla Web site or the service has it's own logins. This support forum, Firefox Sync services, the modules support forum, Bugzilla, etc.. I use the same username and password for all except for Sync, which has a different format, to make it easy, but each of them must be configure each one separately.

  If you already have all that data saved in Firefox on an old PC, it is not all that hard to get this data into another installation of Firefox Office then use Sync "synchronize" these data with the mobile device. See this support article:
