Turn off the bar menu/MenuItem transitions/animations

Is there a way to disable or change the speed at which MenuItems display when they are indicated by using a menu bar?

It's one of those little annoying things that bug some people, even if it is only a fraction of a second delay. When you click a menu on a menu bar, most of the time you had rather just see the menu appear instantly rather than watch it expand all pretty similar before you can use it, heh.

Well Yes, everything I need is this:

{Menu}
Open time: 0;
}

    Hi David,

    Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

    I understand the inconvenience caused to you and I will definitely help you.

    According to the description of the problem, it seems that you have problems with the bar of charms.

    To turn it off and get back to me with the results, follow these steps:

    1. Use the Windows + R key combination to start the run prompt.
    2. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell.
    3. Right-click in the right pane and create a new key called EdgeUI.
    4. Select the key in the right pane, create a new DWORD value and name it DisableCharmsHint.
    5. Right click the DWORD value, and then select change. Change the data value to 1. This will stop the bar charms that appear when you move your mouse to the right corners up or down.
  • Turn off the bar at the bottom right that slides in and out

    I have Windows 7 Home Premium. There is a small bar in the lower right of my screen that slides in and out if my cursor touches this area. It is very annoying because I can't resize the windows because the tab trigger is on the corner of the window. I have never seen this before this new copy of Windows 7. There choices: Auto and then a few icons of an airplane, with text of reversal which High Performance Mode, a character says market with rolling power saving Mode and a figure running that says Mode Away. I want to turn it off and I can't find anything on it. I have attached a screenshot. Of course, it's to do with the power settings but I can't find anything in the control panel to disable it. This is extremely annoying and totally unnecessary.

    Hello

    Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community to report the issue.

    The toolbar that you see on the bottom right will be the manufacturer of your computer

    (Example: for HP laptops, HP Power Assistant application will give you similar options).

    What is the brand and model of the laptop?

    Please go to Control Panel, search for an application / toolbar which is installed. If you find any application which is related to the toolbar, please go ahead and uninstall. If you need help to find the correct application, contact the manufacturer of the laptop.

  • Menu error when turn off the DVD (CS4)

    Hello Adobe community

    I recently created a DVD in Adobe Encore CS4. It has two menus. The menu title has two buttons: Play driver (which connects to a minute 25 TV pilot) and Extras (which connects to a root menu). The menu root contains three music videos (which all the link to the main menu) and a main menu button (which has links from the menu title). I burned the Encore DVD and it played on my DVD player at home. Everything on the DVD works great (menus and videos). However, when I am on the title menu, and I turned off the DVD drive and turn it back on (with the disk still inside) something strange is happening. The menu suddenly compressed horizontally, and the buttons no longer work. Play, up, down, enter, none of the remote controls work more. The only way I can get the DVD works again is to insert a DVD completely different summer and then insert again my DVD. Then he is back to normal.

    I included two photos to illustrate what is happening.

    The DVD is in 16:9 mode, however the TV I watch on 4:3.

    IT IS WHAT THE MENU TITLE LOOKS LIKE WHEN I INSERT FIRST THE DVD: ALL THE WORK OF BUTTONS/LINKS/NAVIGATION... EVERYTHING IS GOOD.

    menu.JPG

    WHEN YOU TURN ON THE DVD MARKET AGAIN (AT THIS POINT), THE MENU BECOMES SQUASHED HORIZONTALLY. DISAPPEARS FROM THE BOXING OF THE LETTER UP AND DOWN, AND NOW NONE OF THE BUTTONS.

    menu-squashed.JPG

    Interestingly, when I go to the menu root (by clicking the Options button) and turn on the DVD player and turn on, the main menu is not affected, and all the buttons still work. The menu root is almost identical in design in the menu title, because it has exactly the same video in the background and audio playback on top. However, this problem occurs only in the menu title. Also, if I turn the DVD player working again while in the middle of watching one of the videos on the DVD, it still works very well. This problem occurs only in the menu title.

    The video in the menu title (and the menu root) is linked dynamically to Premiere CS4.

    Here is a picture of the organizational structure of the dvd:

    The DVD player is a Tevion AC-DVD51 (Jpeg/Mpeg4 Player)

    I have not included specifications on individual video files on the DVD, because they all work perfectly. It's just the menu title that plays up.

    If you want to get the list of additional parameters. Let me know.

    I really want to solve this problem, because I will be the sale of the DVD and I don't want this glitch happening on something, people have paid for.

    Thanks a lot for your time!

    Hello

    Best thing you can do is follow:

    Start the window RUN (Win + R key) and put inside MSCONFIG. When the system configuration window is open, click on the Startup tab. You will find Chicony traybar under Startup items. Delete in front of her box and Camera Assistant Software will be begins not with Vista.

    If you need cam you can start it manually.

  • How to turn off the menu in the middle of the screen while you take a picture?

    Hello everyone!

    It's something similar to this post: turn off the menu in the center of the screen.

    But the problem is displayed while taking a photo: I am posting one alarm full screen mode and wait for the interactions of the user on the screen or on the action button. This interaction takes the picture (and triggers my specific treatment), but it also displays elements of specific menu in the middle of the screen.

    Are there settings to set the field that contains the VideoControl to avoid this behavior?

    Thanks in advance.

    OK, the solution is to add a "return true" after the specific action, like this:

    protected boolean invokeAction(int action) {
        boolean handled = super.invokeAction(action);
        if(!handled)
        {
            if(action == ACTION_INVOKE)
        {
                takePicture();
                return true;
            }
        }
    }

  • Menu button to turn off the audio

    In my current DVD, I have a nice audio background playing until the user clicks on a video button.  However, some people like audio and want to turn it off.  I looked but could not find anything that would allow users to turn off the background music.  Then...  How can I add a button "Disable background music" to my main menu?

    Thank you

    Dan.

    Dan,

    Do not speak on behalf of Stanley, but I think so. It caters the Menu to control things, and I was talking about how to manage the timeline.

    I use several Audio streams often, but more often with the SS of DD 5.1 and DTS. In my case, DTS is not a stream of Audio authorized primary, so he goes to 2 Audio tracks, and my DD 5.1 SS AC3 goes on 1 Audio track, where he would reside, if there was no Audio 2 track. In your case, instead of DTS, you'd have the track "silent."

    These buttons link to the timeline, one directly to the Audio 1 track and the other to 2 Audio tracks. Note: This is done by specifying the link and make the choice on the menu drop down.

    The user can use this Menu to choose, or the Audio button on the remote control.

    Stanley memory is better than mine, as I couldn't remember a version of 'silent '. Now, I field questions about additional Audio tracks with the frequency.

    Good luck

    Hunt

    Hello

    Just in case, run disk utility.

    Open utility disk located in Applications/Utilities

    Then select the disk to boot on the left and then select the first aid tab and then click run.

    If disk utility indicates that the disc seems to be OK, you are finished. Otherwise, you must repair the disk.

  • Can I turn off the navigation pane in the HTML help permanently?

    My company has a web application on the MicroStrategy platform.

    I created a WebHelp customized to replace the out of the box using MicroStrategy and which works very well.

    We develop the MicroStrategy Office add-in for Excel for our customers.

    Once installed, a CHM file is copied to the client's hard drive.

    We want to replace this with our own custom help.

    I created a CHM file with a subject that redirects clients to our WebHelp customzied with content for the add-in.

    One of the subjects has a redirect in the header HTML following code:

    < meta http-equiv = "refresh" content = "0; URL =https://customhelp.htm#AddIn_Introduction.htm"/ > "

    That works very well in my tests.

    Here's my problem...

    The HTML Help Viewer opens and hides the Navigation pane and displays the WebHelp (navigation pane, the menu bar and topic pane) automatically.

    But, the HTML Help Viewer still has the hide/show/hide button for HTML Help navigation pane.

    Is it possible to disable this hide or let it stand, but turn off the navigation pane?

    As always, any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you-

    You should be able to disable in the settings of the window. Make sure that you uncheck the boxes search and Glossary before you uncheck the Index checkbox & OCD. (My quick test seemed to honor these settings, even when they are grey)
