Turn off the laptop keyboard

I need to know how to disable my laptop keyboard. First of all, I went to the Device Manager and tried to turn it off, but this option was not available and I could just uninstall it. When I reiterated my computer after uninstalling it it still worked. Help!

The only practical way is to physically disconnect or frankly buy a replacement for this

  • How can I turn off the laptop after restoring it to factory settings?

    Hello everyone

I'm selling my Portege R830-10 q If I want to restore it to the settings to factory (out-of-box state) AND THEN TURN IT OFF.

I brought the laptop to factory settings successfully using the _TOSHIBA recovery Wizard_ and choosing * factory default software recovery (Recover State out-of-box) *. However, at the end of the process of recovery and after everything is back in place I was not able to TURN off the POWER to the laptop. It only gave me the option to restart. After rephrasing it, the Windows installation process starts.

I don't want to install Windows, i.e. language, keyboard, user account, etc. I want to leave the Windows installation for the person buying the laptop to me. How can I turn off the laptop after the recovery of the system without having to install Windows?

    I would appreciate your help.

    Concerning

    Pedro

When the recovery process is complete and you are prompted for a reboot just press start button / stop and turn it off. I think it's only thing you can do.

Anyway, why not start Windows and go through the configuration option. New owner can modify this basic anyway parameters. As username Admin and language and the keyboard can be set as default.

For example, if you have a picture of German recovery set to German. New owner can change in any case.

Hi all, when I connect my HP DV6-3019wm laptop to my LCD TV Via HDMI and watch a movie, or stream Netflix, etc.

How to turn off the screen of the laptop, or close the lid on the laptop? Without arresting him. Is it possible to do it on the laptop, easy enough for watching movies on the TV, without spoiling all the other parameters? Parts perfect TV, but the picture is still on the laptop too, at the same time.

  • Super screen sensitive like I can't turn off the laptop and hear a clicking noise when the lid is closed

I am running Windows 7 on a computer Tablet laptop of Dell Latitude (it has a touch screen that is not removable, but it turns). My problem is that I can not shut down this computer and carry it from one place to the other without losing all my battery power: you can hear 'ping' when the lid is lowered. If I have to carry that I have to turn off completely, otherwise it will just keep producing this ping and use my battery. Everyone knows this?

This ping me makes me believe that a key is pressed, perhaps due to a letter from the keyboard that is stuck or is bad, or possibly a defect of the product.

  • Cannot turn off the screen keyboard on

Seems like a stupid question, but I can't seem to find the solution. When my wireless keyboard has a conflict of any sort, and stops working, it's great that I can use my mouse to go to accessibility options and get the screen keyboard to use in order to re-install the software, re - sync my settings bluetooth or something else. Once I get it all working again, I'm hard to find a way to disable the screen keyboard on.  I can't find anything in the help index or anywhere, that's all off once you have enabled. For now, I'm just close it after my PC boots every time which is very annoying because it seems add time to the boot sequence as well. What Miss me something that should be so simple. I can write the code, but I can't disable a keyboard?

Click Start > Control Panel > accessibility > Ease of Access Center > on-screen keyboard is there...

  • Rehearsal / stuck key - can I turn off a laptop keyboard and use an external one instead?

I have an Acer Aspire 5542, Windows 7, SP1, with intermittent repetition ' / @ key. By hitting the icon start the search box begins to fill with "'s, even with the address of the toolbar area. The same thing happens if I create a new folder, the name starts to fill with "'. I tried to clean under the ' key, without effect. To make life easy, I plugged in a USB keyboard that allows, as sometimes the repetition "'s do not strike. But what I want to do is to disable the built in keyboard until I can set an appropriate fix. Is this possible?

You should be able to disable a keyboard in the Device Manager, with two keyboards connected two of them should appear in the device manager then disable one.  If it's evil, re - enable and disable it.  :-)

  • Failing to turn off the Satellite P300

When I try to turn off my laptop (Satellite P300 with Windows Vista Home Edition), which is to end the session and cut off the power supply, the laptop restarts rather than turns off.

How can I correct this defect?

Satellite P300 is not the latest model laptop, and I assume that you have some time?
Since when you noticed this problem?
You installed Microsoft updates before it starts to happen?

Try to define the button / stop like turn off the laptop and test whether the same thing will happen again.

  • Re: Satellite Pro L670 - can I turn off the sound when the battery is empty?

    Hello

Is it possible to disable the bios beep when the battery is empty or the laptop's Hibernate?

    I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L670.

Even when the sound in Windows is turned off the laptop do a annoying sound.

    Thank you!

Maybe it sounds silly, but I put t understand why that should be disabled. When the battery reaches the critical battery level you will be informed about this and portable must be connected to the power running or you have to save your work and turn it off.

Do you really want to work until the battery is completely discharged?

Anyway, AFAIK this notification level BIOS cannot be disabled.
Let's see if someone else is better informed than me.

  • ProBook 4530 s: grinding noise near the vents when I turn on the laptop.

Sometimes when I turn on the laptop, a loud grinding noise is heard from the left corner, near the vents.  I think that's probably the fan.  I turn off the laptop because it doesn't seem like grinding stops.  Then when I turn it on again, grinding noise disappeared.  The fan needs to be replaced, or when the fan needs to be replaced?  Is this easy to do?

Alternatively, the problem could be something else?

    MContrary wrote:

I see that there is a video on YouTube for laundry s my exact machine, HP ProBook 4530 fan.

I guess I'll try to do that, but the noise I hear is very strong, as something very bad is grinding

This could be the lack of fan or some a little debri is inside the unit that should not be there.
