turn on touchpad in comments

I hace a Dell Latitude laptop. I was logged in as guest. While trying to connect to a device, the touchpad got off. By clicking on the key window, I was able to open the touchpad screen and I see that the touchpad is off but I can't activate it.

No matter - it allows anonymous access to your machine from the outside, among other things.
Disable it and create a Standard user account called 'Family' or 'Visitor', or something like. The touchpad will not work.

  • Unable to turn off touchpad

I have a Pavilion laptop g7-1260ua that pleases me very well except for a small annoyance and is the fact that I can't permanently disable the touchpad. I use a mouse and do not like the touchpad. According to the information I received, in order to disable it is to tap the upper left corner of the button. I tried it and it worked one time but finally she came back and I could not turn it off. Finally, I went to the Device Manager and disabled. It will work for awhile, but he comes back eventually. In fact when I disable it this way, it actually is not disabled completely. If I right click on properties it say that the driver works without problem. But it lights up the Tablet for a while - what is until she decides to come back.
Anyone has any idea on this? Thank you.

WOW, you have to reinstall the whole OS just to reinstall a driver. Download driver Synaptics on the desktop and install it from there, not in a temporary folder.

ftp://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp54001-54500/sp54239.exe it comes to version 15.3.12.1 as of September 3, 2011.

Once it has finished downloading, go to control panel > programs and features. In the list uninstall the "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and restart your machine.

Click the new driver that you saved on the desktop to start the installation and reboot when it's finished.

I hope this will solve your problem.

  • Turn off touchpad Synaptics pointing device disabler

I have a Windows7 64 bit HP Pavilion g6-1207sa (product # A3Y69EA #ABU) that has the touchpad from Synaptics pointing device.
Apart from hitting the touchpad maybe incorrectly (? I don't remember exact model), the touchpad is disabled [diagonal red line in Silver box]. The only method to re-enable the touchpad is to run the mouse program; then using the ctrl + tab keys to get on the synaptics pointing device settings tab and Enable.
Is there a way to turn off this disabling so no matter what/how I treat the touchpad, it will always stay enabled?

Hello lalithjoseph.  I understand that your touchpad keeps disabling.

You should have a small LED light or a rectangle in the upper left corner of your keyboard.  If you double quickly, tap this box, you can enable/disable the touchpad.  This would avoid having to navigate the menus without the mouse.

I don't know of any method to turn off the option to disable the touchpad.

According to me, making sure that the BIOS and the touchpad drivers are up-to-date is good solutions to try.

Here is a link to your latest BIOS.

    Here's the latest touchpad driver.

Let me know the result.  I wish you a nice day!

  • Can not turn on touchpad

Just took the touchpad out of the box and recharge the battery for about 3 hours, but can not turn on the touchpad. The Center button flashes while load (it blinks left-right-left-right...) so there should be a connection and I guess the battery is charged. Tried pressing the power button / stop, button / stop + Center button and power button / stop + volume up and kept building up to a minute, none of these worked. Has anyone seen this problem before?

After some research on the HP website, I found that flashing left-right-left-right to the Center button means battery too low, and when that happens Touchpad won't turn on. Charge of TP throughout the night and it turned on itself. It would be great if it was the little manual that came with the touchpad.

Hope that this is useful for those who have the same problem.

  • Re: Cannot turn off touchpad Windows 7

I recently received an update to Windows 7 from Vista for my laptop Toshiba Satellite A350, which I loaded on the computer. The installation was according to his instructions.

However, since this update has been installed the F - keys did not work and I was unable to disable the touchpad. I have studied this problem on the internet and tried to download the drivers for the touchpad, but also downloading value-added programs; However, none of them solved the problem.

I can't find any for the touchpad off button either.

You can disable Touchpad in the mouse properties too.

You know someone shortcut key for this? Thank you.

Ah OK, that's what you're looking for. How about, leaving the TrackPoint active all the time? In this way, when your mouse battery is discharged, you can use it to activate the touchpad.

It seems that your computer is not installed a valid driver Synaptics ClickPad. Please uninstall any "Synaptic" currently installed drivers. Reset. Then download and install the Synaptics TouchPad Driverprovided CV. Reset. Make sure the driver is installed and the control panel displays a "Synaptics ClickPad SMBus. Open 'Mouse' to again Control Panel and follow the instructions above to disable the ClickPad on fixing the external USB pointing device.

  • Turn on continuously his comments

Is there a way to permanently activate comments or at least a shortcut?

File > save as > Reader Extended PDF > enable commenting and measuring instruments takes too long when I send 20 events per day.

The only way is with LiveCycle Reader Extensions, but it's expensive server software. For documents in format Acrobat is intentionally a manual procedure for which there is no shortcuts apart from the creation of a custom toolbar button that triggers the menu item.

  • Touchpad does not work on the Satellite A100-812

Hello, I just bought a Toshiba Satellite A100-812 (C. Duo, 2 GB RAM, GF 7600, Vista Premium). I disabled the synaptics driver in msconfig. After a while, I turned on the driver but Touchpad still does not work. All the fn buttons work correctly (turning brightenswith FN + F6 or FN + F7 etc.) but FN + F9 (turning the Touchpad) does not always work.
    Help, please.

    ([email protected])

    Hello

you did a reinstallation of the driver? I think that if you have disabled it with msconfig, it should work after reactivation and otherwise, to remove this driver and install it
Once again. (So the touchpad) driver should be available after reinstalling and restarting Windows.

Would be recognizing a few comments if it worked. :)

    Welcome them

  • spectrum of HP how to disable the touchpad

I have a spectrum of HP and love it, but I keep brushing the touchpad when using the keyboard.  I would like to be able to turn the touchpad on and off.  How can I disable/enable the touchpad on a spectrum of HP?

Hard to say. Probably due to the nature of design of tablet of the laptop, but I can't say some I'm just technical support. I have no information about updates. There could be some third-party utilities out there that will work for you. I am aware of are Touchpad Blocker and TouchFreeze.

    Thank you.

  • Satellite Z30 - A - 1 d 0: No. Wlan after fashion 'sleep' / touchpad problem

    Hello!

I bought this laptop in early September and I am super happy with it, but there are two little things that annoy me and I was not able to fix yet:

    (1) exit standby or sleep mode, it is re - connect never automatically for the wireless on it's, I have to do it manually every time. Windows wireless works well, so this isn't it, but what is?

    (2) sometimes the touchpad will stop working randomly and I have to use a mouse or restart to fix it. I reinstalled the drivers for the touchpad. Turning the touchpad/disable using function keys does not resolve the problem.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 pilot was published on the Intel page, and looks like this driver is more recent than the one provided in the Toshiba page.

Here you can get the latest version of the driver:

  • Satellite A300-20 b - Touchpad does not work after BIOS update

I've updated the BIOS on my Satellite A300-20 b latest version 2.00. Update succeeded, but when I rebooted system touchpad has stopped working.

I tried to find the solution, resettled drivers (windows XP system). In the Windows Device Manager there is no problem with Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad, I see. Software Synaptics shows no problem I can enable and disable the touchpad, but it does not work for the touchpad. I tried Linux live CD and in this system does not work as good touchpad. I think there is problem in this version of the BIOS.

Does anyone have the same problem?

    Hey Buddy,

Have you tried to turn the touchpad on or off if you press FN + F9? Check this please!
Also, try to load the default settings in the BIOS.

What happens if you connect an external mouse to the laptop? It work?

I can t imagine that the BIOS update causing this problem. If it doesn't work, you need to contact a service provider for help. They can check the touchpad and replace.

  • different problem from the computer touchpad portable 8570p

I am aware of the feature that turns the touchpad (tap on the top left corner) on and off.  I use the keyboard all the time, and my problem is that it is a great feature - if you're right-handed. As a lefty, I'm constantly turn off the touchpad and have to press twice on the upper left corner to re - activate. In addition to suggest HP they hire left-handers to test their products, I wonder if there is a way to disable the function of the touchpad, so I can't stop and reactivate all the minutes. I want the touchpad to work all the time!

    Hello

    Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open mouse, the Clickpad settings tab and then click the button settings Clickpad - option, you must disable is called "Tap to turn off" - the actual location of this will vary a bit your touchpad hardware/software but should be similar to the example below.  When the option is deselected, click 'Close' in the first window and then apply and Ok in the remaining one.

    Best regards
