  On the European driver Toshiba page you will find the * Alps Electric Touch Pad driver *. (This driver allows you to set the properties and functions of mouse control) and
  the * Synaptics Touchpad driver * (this driver allows you to set the properties and the touch pad control functions).

  Both must be installed!

  I have a Pavilion laptop g7-1260ua that pleases me very well except for a small annoyance and is the fact that I can't permanently disable the touchpad. I use a mouse and do not like the touchpad.   WOW, you have to reinstall the whole OS just to reinstall a driver. Download driver Synaptics on the desktop and install it from there, not in a temporary folder.

  Once it has finished downloading, go to control panel > programs and features. In the list uninstall the "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and restart your machine.

  Click the new driver that you saved on the desktop to start the installation and reboot when it's finished.

  If you bought your laptop a few days ago the first thing we do is to check all relevant parameters and understand this tochpad works. You will see that the touchpad has many different settings and I am sure that you accidentally use some of them.

  There is certainly no fault. I have the same laptop model and do not have this defect. Maybe you should disable tap zones.

  In the control panel > Device Manager > display hidden devices under the mouse and other pointing device, there is a yellow triangle on the HP TOUCHPAD SMBUS.

  I have no idea why, but I recommend that you install the driver once more.

  Visit the page of the Toshiba UE driver.
  Select your notebook series and download the touchpad driver.
  Then unzip the driver package and install the driver.

  Select your product > select your model > Option 2: go directly to the result software and driver > driver-keyboard, mouse and input devices > Synaptics TouchPad Driver

  You should be able to download and reinstall the driver.

  I have recently had problems, right-click in the Explorer file and office, I learned that it's most likely a problem of shell extension library, I got ShellExView, used to turn off non-microsoft programs, and set it... until I turned my laptop off and back on, and then I had the same problem, but when I disabled programs ShellExView, nothing'll fix it.  From there on, I learned that a clean boot may resolve the problem, so I did and turned off all programs at startup via the Task Manager. With all the disabled programs, I am able to view my files via the file Explorer and I can right click on it.

  But with all that off I had problems with my touchpad, breadcrumb scrolling in internet browsers, and it does not work pretty close when I play games. As far as I know, the pointer of the Synaptics driver is responsible for making the touchpad works, then I helped start, and once more I'll have all my problems of right click again. I don't know if it's the programs causing problems, but it is possible to use a different driver to get my touchpad to work? or do I just try Synaptics update?

  Steps to drain the static charge and load the BIOS default settings to solve the problem

  Step 01. Turn off the laptop

  Step 02. Disconnect the power/AC adapter and also remove the battery too

  Step 03. Press and hold the power button of the laptop for a minute

  Step 04. Now re - insert the battery back in and plug again the power supply/adapter

  Step 05. Start Notepad and keep pressing the F10 key during startup to access the BIOS

  It seems that your computer is not installed a valid driver Synaptics ClickPad. Please uninstall any "Synaptic" currently installed drivers. Reset. Then download and install the Synaptics TouchPad Driverprovided CV. Reset. Make sure the driver is installed and the control panel displays a "Synaptics ClickPad SMBus. Open 'Mouse' to again Control Panel and follow the instructions above to disable the ClickPad on fixing the external USB pointing device.

• CAN I TURN OFF MY BLUETOOTH IN DEVICE MANAGER

  Dell Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit.   I do not use Bluetooth for anything whatsoever, but Bluetooth is causing problems in stop and sleep mode.  I already uninstalled Bluetooth and after that stop windows update reinstalled generic Bluetooth, so I disabled some things in Bluetooth settings, but I don't know if it's enough.  Should I go ahead and turn off my Bluetooth also via the Device Manager?  Mode stop and sleep issues are the 'errors' and 'critical' sometimes in the "view Performance details in Event Log"

  I understand that you are having problems with Bluetooth and you must disable.

  Please help us with the following information:

  • What is the model number of the computer?
  • Do you have any third-party security program installed on the computer?

  If you use no Bluetooth, yes you can disable it from the Device Manager.

  Or you can try to uninstall the current computer Bluetooth software, visit the manufacturer of computer for the latest Bluetooth drivers and install it.

  To answer your question, yes you can turn off Bluetooth to Device Manager.

  Server 2003 there was a registry called UserPreferencesMask value that could be used to turn off the shadow of the mouse pointer to the complete operating system, including the login screen. This registry value does not exist in Server 2008. Anyone know how to disable the whole OS mouse pointer shadow in Server 2008?

  Here's an expanded section of a screenshot showing no shadow on the mouse pointer after a reboot and have disconnected after putting the UserPreferencesMask key in the Windows registry in Windows Server 2008 under the 'HKEY_USERS_\. Default\Control Panel\Desktop' key and I have already mentioned this so if this isn't what you want, then I don't understand the question, sorry!
