Turn system icons on or off via a script?
Hello
I'm currently building a CC4 network in a school. The product of CC4 is a front end AD/GP, designed to be used by less experienced network administrators. I'll save the ad and you link here: http://tinyurl.com/ch75853.
So is my question, possible to turn on the sound icons and power using a VB or Powershell script?

Paul
Hi Paul,.
The question you posted would be better suited in the Script Forums. I would recommend posting your query in the Forums of Script.

Cannot turn system icons on or off, excluding the clock icon.
Hello
The title pretty much everything said. I can turn only the clock system power icon. Everything is grayed out. Now, when I go to the task bar, click Customize and access the power, the network, volume, and center of the action, they are all checked to "display the icons and notifications '. However when I navigate to 'enable or disable system icons' they are all grayed out except the clock. Now I use a HP tx2z which has quick launch buttons. From there I can change the power plan, see my network status and change the volume; However, I can't do this on the taskbar.
All this happened randomly when I logged on and off my laptop. I tried to reboot several times, closing, create a new power plan, cleaning the registry. I tried to open the policy editor of group local and disabling the option 'Remove Battery Meter' as stated in this similar question but there is no option to do so. There is an option for all other icons that appear dimmed.
The pictures showing the problem can be seen here , here , here and here . Highlight the link to see the description. I didn't install anything.
Thank you!
Patrick
I found the problem. I had a custom theme installed and how I installed it (through the registry by changing the shell at a "Explorer" different but I nominated is something else) disabled icons. This is probably because these icons have been 'search' for the shell named "Explorer" not what I had changed to. Anyone who the problem is resolved and thanks for helping me! -Patrick

Power system icon is gray turned off in Windows 8
I have Windows 8. But the notification of the power icon does not appear in the taskbar. I ' tried to fix it in the notification thus in the system icon portions but I can't because the possibility to activate the icon is grayed out offshore and does not allow me to change it.
I removed the battery and inserted back but still the same problem persists.I found the answer to this in a forum. The solution is the following:
Go to Device Manager, click on battery uninstall "microsoft compatible ac adapter".Take action. Click scan for new hardware.
It will find the battery and you will not even need to restart :-)

Disable the startup of the Volume control in the system icon tray.
I need to disable volume control start in the system tray so that it does not show users that connect.
So far, I've fiddled with regedit, msconfig and mmc. I can turn it off for my own login, but when others open a session, it appears.
Note: the volume must remain on and to a preset level (so I can't just delete or disable control of Volume of Mater).
Also note: Perfessional XP

System icons missing in the taskbar
On my laptop, next to which the time is specified, must be 3 different icons. Volume, network and power. I don't know what happened, but these icons are now gone. I went in the taskbar and Start Menu properties to get them back, but under the system icons, the only selectable icon is time. The other three are grayed out and I can't click on it.

How can I turn the power on and off NI 9263 voltage output using a distribution channel?
LabView 8.6

I used the simple fan control - but can it be modified to turn on and off via a channel instead of a button.
In other words for example 5 seconds now and 10 seconds off the coast.
I would also be adjustable.
Hi Helpme9211,

Windows 7 - network system icon disappears
I did an upgrade installation on my laptop from Vista business to Windows 7 Professional and everything works fine, except the icon of system network has disappeared. This is the case, even though I am connected via Ethernet to the Internet without problem and the icon is checked "on" in the dialog system icon. I also did a repair installation (several times) of Windows 7, which did not solve the problem. (This was NOT a problem with Vista).

Hello world
For some reason, my CC (20141) icon has disappeared off the coast of my office.
It doesn't seem to be anywhere else (Start menu, system files).
Without this icon, I have access to my other Apps that I might need to download, or I can check to see if my current applications are up to date.
Could someone tell me how to get this icon on my desktop it please?
I use Windows 7 Professional OS, which is necessary for the College.
Thank you

Hi Maureen,
If you go to control panel > programs and features is it recognized as installed there?
It normally should appear in your Start Menu. You may need to use this uninstaller: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
After which must be able to reinstall it from here: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
Hope that helps,
