I have not found all the other parameters that may affect this behavior.

  I solved the problem! I found the original CD for the printer. I uninstall the current driver and then install CD and now when the printer is out of paper trying to get paper a couple of times and then stops, as it used to be.

  It is an indication that the document is damaged. Try to use the PDF Optimizer (choose file > save as other > PDF optimized).

  Under the cleaning section, deselect optimize the PDF for quick display of Web pages. That, save a copy and try to turn the page.

  Adobe has disabled the server activation for pre CS3 products a long time ago and that's why you are unable to activate your product. I can not to suggest what to do, but I don't know that CS2 owners with this problem can download a version specially created that doesn't require activation. To my knowledge, no such version exists for CS. If it was me, then as the real owner of the software and just unable to use it due to having no mechanism to activate, I download CS2 and use it until someone from Adobe told me to stop. It is a sensitive issue because the download site clearly indicates that there must be an existing CS2 owner. However, the url to the download was posted the pirate not many Adobe Web sites not as a way to free download the CS2. I imagine that there have been hundreds if not thousands of downloads from 2013 when it became first available and so far Adobe has not made any attempt to restrict the download to current owners of CS2.   You can create a new profile on the computer and if the desktop icons stay on their position. If this is not the case, the other profile is corrupt. To create a new user profile, you can see the article mentioned below for the procedure.

  Ø Have you connected the USB hard drive to the computer directly or you have used an external USB hub to connect?

  O trying to connect to another USB port to check if it works?

  O the hardrive shows in windows of the computer when you connect it?

  Method 1:
  If you have installed security software, I suggest you to temporarily disable the security software and connect the USB and check to see if the same problem happens. Make sure that you enable the security software after checking.

  Alternatively, you can try to plug the USB key into a different USB port and check if it helps.

  Method 2:

  I think you are talking after upgrade to CC 2015 you're not able to launch I. Also, I believe you speak for read only matter of preference.

  After following the instructions please do not launch Illustrator and check your file preference if the permissions have been set correctly. A good way would be to get inside the preferences folder and then try to create a file manually. If it succeeds, please write to [email protected]
