TV on Slimline

Can I add a tv card to s3821uk pavilion slimline? y at - it expansion slots inthi machine?

Hello:

I'm not 100% sure here, but I don't think. However, all is not lost. There is the Tuner TV USB2 cards on the market. However, I think that can't buy you. I have read the reports of these companies that offer. They all say they work well, but in the instruction manuals all suggest adding an antenna amplified to the tuner. Most customers state that they get only 4 to 9 channels. I love watching TV while using my computer. My last system incorporating Ati wonder card was working fine. Channels from 2 to 62. Worked very well with Media Center as well. In my new HP, I ordered a new TV Tuner card. They use a company called Hauppage. I have nothing. I called them and was advised that Hauppage support not only their program called Win 7 Media Center. I just downloaded and installed. Once again, in the instructions, they recommend an external antenna. What a boy HP. send something that does not support the VISTA that you have installed.

I ended up ordering a TV 8 "digital that I'm supposed to just plug in my cable. At a 125-channel tuner that eliminate my HBO channels, but that's OK. As long as I get from the USA and TNT.

I don't know if that helped or not. I hope that this was the case. Once again, check out turn machine rest to see if it supports a TV Tuner card or if there is enough room inside. Buying only a Wonder ATI system or theatre.

As the subject says, I have a desktop Slimline s7520n pc.  I currently wired him with my router RJ45 cable.  I noticed that that's what I discovered as a reverse polarity SMA female end to an antenna wifi at the back of it.  The network adapter installed there b/g wireless capabilities?  Can someone tell me a good retailer to find such an antenna?

My network card is a Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet NIC Device Manager also displays USB wireless 802.11 b/g adapter made by Gemtek (I guess it is internal).

In addition, what is the wireless switch I need to turn on?  I looked everywhere in this pc and I can't find a switch.

    Thanks for your time.

You will need no switch. It takes a male connector at the back of the computer. (threads)

You need this size. http://tinyurl.com/c59nfa It is the same as the one I use on my S7700N. I had one which has an antenna with a long cable and it was horrible. The one I posted works better and takes place almost nil and gets in the way.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s3720f: what video card should I buy?

I want to add a new video card (not too expensive) for my old HP Pavilion Slimline s3720, but I do not know what video card to buy, because there are far too many choices. I know that the new card must be low profile with a half support so it can fit into the currently available in the motherboard slot. I hope that Conect my Dell UltraSharp 1708FP 17-inch LCD flat monitor VGA on this new card to get the best resolution and graphics. Can someone give me a recommendation indicating which card to buy? Please be specific. Thank you.

The slimelines should never require a lot of video.  Your 2008 model circa was Vista.  Updates drivers ended with WIN 7. It's a miracle you got WIN10 without drivers available is another story.  Another factor is the skinny 160W PSU. That limits your options if you have a.  The common consensus is that either.  added heat from a graphics card, the likely additonal to a new power supply really outweighed costs.

  • HP Pavilion Slimeline 400-224: upgrade memory on Pavilion Slimline 400-224

I want to upgrade the memory of my HP pavilion slimline 400-224.  After opening the case, how do I determine how many memory locations is available?  The current Council of the memory is SK Hynix 4 G 1Rx8 PC3L 12800 S-11-13 - B4.   It seems to be another location, just underneath and take-away.

Can you tell me if this machine has one or two slots for memory...  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Here are thespecifications of your machine. It allows two modules of 8 GB.  You said 4 GB installed.  Which would jive with your Visual (only 1 modules installed). If it was mine, I would opt for a corresponding module of 4 GB and do with it.

HP PartSurfer does not list the SK Hynix 4 G 1Rx8 PC3L 12800 S-11-13 - B4.  Another curious point, the specs list 6 GB installed. It would be a 4 GB and 2 GB modules.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5510y of: No. Wireless Network Adapter installed

I just bought a Pavilion Slimline S5510Y Desktop opportunity; not an installed wireless network adapter.   Y at - it somewhere that I can download the map?

Here is the PAGE of SUPPORT for this office.  It doesn't have a wireless adapter.  It has a wired aka the installed ethernet card.  The wireless adapter is a piece of hardware and must be purchased, not downloaded.  There are choices in the type would work better for you - USB or PCI x 1.  It may depend on the type of network you want to use.  The new highspeed options may require an adapter corresponding to the specification of network router in order to achieve faster speeds of the AC.  If you look at the "n" speeds then most can do.  Also be aware of the bands 2.4 and 5 GHz for newer routers.  If all this sounds "Greek", then perhaps seek help from a friend.

My grandparents bought a new Slimline machine 410-010, which came with pre-installed Windows 10. They fear and were willing to buy a new machine outright just to go back to Windows 7. I bought a code and already had a disc, so I loaded Windows 7 on the machine. It was an OEM Win 10 machine so without decommissioning was not an option. After completing the installation, I got the yellow exclamation points on the following drivers in Device Manager:

    • Ethernet controller
    • Network controller
    • PCI Simple Communications controller
    • SM Bus controller

I checked the HP website for drivers but was unable to find an any of them for Windows 7. Someone here could point me in the right direction?

    Hello:

See if these drivers work because I can not find all related HP models that have drivers W7 (other than 2 or 3 see you listed).

  • Pavilion Slimline: upgrade to MS10

I upgraded to MS10 and now my graphics (JUA190) does not work.  I was told that HP does not support the new driver to get my card to work.  I bought this computer before 2013.  This HP can be upgraded to accept the new adapter?  Currently, my Manager shows the basic graphics card.  How to add or change this, if I can.

    Thanks for providing the info.

I wish I had some good news for you, but I did not.

HP does not provide more recent than Win7 for your PC drivers, so there is no updated HP driver to fix the problem.

  • No sound after the s7530n pavilion slimline for Windows 7 RC1 upgrade

I know that Windows 7 is still in version final candidate and so is not taken in charge by Wells, anyone, but I've seen some people have luck on this forum so I'm him kicking.

I have a HP slimline s7530n Pavilion that came with Windows XP Media Center is installed.  I recently upgraded to Windows 7 RC1 (as well as all the other computers in my home) because of the extra boost of incredible performances provided by Windows 7, as well as the best new Media Center.  Unfortunately, while Windows 7 works fine on all my other systems, it fails in two areas on this slimline: it is not up to run Aero/Glass (which is not a problem, do not need glass on this system), but unfortunately the sound work no longer, which is a real disappointment, because Media Center is kinda useless without audio :-)

When I move my mouse over the volume icon in the system tray ToolTip shows "no Audio output device is installed".  When I check under ' audio, video and game controllers "in Device Manager, there is only a single element:"High definition Audio Device", which says that it is working properly.

Steps, I tried to solve the problems:

-J' uninstalled the "High Definition Audio Device" in the Device Manager and rebooted.  It is automatically re - installs, but does not solve the problem.

-J' downloaded the audio driver for Vista for this PC from the HP support page: "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver Update" - sp34998.exe.  I tried to install it directly, but got an error 'failure '.  Then I extracted all the files in a folder, right click on the "setup.exe" inside and set to run in compatibility of Vista and as an administrator, but running mode later, he gave the same "failed" error.  I then uninstalled the driver "High definition Audio Device" in Manager of peripheral and before restart, run sp34998 (in Vista compatibility and as administrator mode) configuration file, and this time installed without error.  He then asked to reboot.  After reboot, Windows 7 automatically reinstalled the driver of "High definition" Audio Device as before, and I'm back to square one, still no sound, even if "RealTek High Definition Audio Driver" does not in Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

-J' I uninstalled RealTek Vista driver and the "high definition Audio Device", then downloaded the original XP driver: ' Summer 2006 Original high definition Audio Drivers Realtek '-sp26730.exe the HP support page.  Same experience driver Vista, with some slight differences - even if I extracted the files, and then told the setup.exe to launch in Windows XP SP2 and administrator mode, that it fails eventually, but with messages such as "cann't find Match RealTek HD Audio Inf file!  (Yes, it's accurate, complete with broken and misspelled grammar "Cann't" error message).

So I'm puzzled - I should anticipate problems with Windows 7 for embedded with audio systems, but my old Dell laptop for 6 year, works very well with Windows 7 and it has integrated everything (same course glass!), so if anyone has any advice I'm all ears.

    Thank you!

and don't you know - after that for troubleshooting like a week and a half, I finally posted my question on this forum in desperation, and five minutes after the validation, I discovered the solution on my own.

So for those who have this particular problem, please go to the RealTek page:

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/

Click on the "Downloads" link at the top.

Click on the first link on the page: High Definition Audio Codecs (software)

Check the box "I agree" to the legalese and then click the next button when it becomes available

For the fifth result in the list, "Vista, Windows7 Driver (32/64 bits) driver only (executable file)", click on the 'GO' link to the right (I chose "Site 1"), then download the file to your desktop.

If you have any audio drivers RealTek HP installed under the Control Panel, uninstall and restart.

Then, run the executable RealTek above (when he throws an error message saying "Windows cannot verify the Publisher" click to install anyway), then restart.

When your system returns to the top, you have the sound!  I am very happy.

  • Pavilion Slimline s5780t: compatibility Windows 10

    Hello

I have a friend with the model listed above. It was recently upgraded to Windows 10 (translation: Microsoft forced the upgrade on him without his consent). His PC was working fine before the upgrade, but since then, he has been presenting all kinds of different problems.

Before you start to look at the details, I just wanted to know if this model of PC is compatible with Windows 10 in the first place. I came across the site of HP in the hope of finding this 'picture' of the models tested, but have not been able to find it anywhere.

Could someone be tell me if the s5780t flag has been tested with Windows 10 or direct me to where I might find myself?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello:

HP does not support this model for W10, and there is no W10 driver for it on the support page.

Here is the link for the product... it's 2011, which is older that the deadline for what tested HP of the PC for the W10.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-slimline-s5700-desktop-PC-series/5035352/model/5060992/document/c02682452#AbT0

Here is the link to HP on compatibility with W10...

    http://h22207.www2.HP.com/us-en/document/c04731185

This PC must be able to run W10 OK on the basic material.  I have two HP business class PC with Sandy Bridge CPUs and chipsets, and they work fine.  Audio different chips well (Realtek).

Now if this model has a tuner TV and other optional devices, those who can not work.

The Beats Audio may not work... However, try this driver W10.  It works on many HP PC with audio IDT bat.

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline 400-034 does not illuminate

    Hey all,.

My grandparents bought a HP Slimline 400-034 from Bestbuy (refurb, sigh), or all of a sudden only put up now after he have 4 months. When I plug the power to the PSU cables, the led is green. When I hit the power button, the CPU fan turns quickly, but the computer will not feed.

I am quite sure that the power supply is good because it has the green light to the rear, and the CPU fan turns briefly. I unplugged the CD-ROM and USB ports in the front to reduce the load of power, but it will still be running. Is the Mobo that made, or is there something else I can try?

    Thanks in advance!

Follow the steps described in the guide. My opinion is that the power supply is BAD. These PSU's TFX.

    Hello

The specifications of the motherboardof your PC shows only a VGA port that is disabled and is not usable when a video card is installed.  HP Partsurfer doesn't list all cards free video for your PC.

Go to Device Manager and look at graphics cards.  What do you see?

My children have a HP Pavilion Slimline s3315.uk but I must improve the graphics cards, but don't want to spend too much. I was wondering if the ATI Radeon HD4650 1 GB DDR2 VGA/DVI PCI Express can be a good option. Any ideas?

John, no, the HD 4650 requires too much power for your power supply unit (PSU).  It does not say in the specifications of the computer, but I think that the power supply is 180W to 220W.  The 4650 requires a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  In addition, the computer requires a low profile video card.
