Two entrances of HP monitor

My HP S2031 monitor has VGA and DVI - D time ports. When turned on, the monitor displays the two ports and is in use. (Now used only VGA port) There is an option of the screen to select a port manually or let the screen select the one that provides video information.  Is it possible to have both my PC wired to the S2031 (one VGA and one DVI - d), and then select which PC I want displayed?

Thanks, Ray

Yes, it is possible to switch manually between two video sources connected to your HP S2031 20 diagonal inches LCD monitor.

  • Problem of two - VGA and Displayport monitors

    Hello

    We have recently purchased a number of machines Thinkcentre M58 and have problems to make two monitors to work with these machines. We are setting them up with a monitor to the VGA port and a 2nd monitor connected to via a Displayport adapter Displayport to VGA dongle.

    The problem is that the 2nd monitor on Displayport don't wake up. MESSAGE appears on the monitor 1, and when Windows has loaded, only the 1st monitor displays a screen, while the 2nd monitor remains in mode 'sleep'.

    In display settings, it is possible to activate the 2nd monitor, how he wakes up and the user can continue to use both screens. If the user stops or restarts the machine it takes to manually activate the 2nd monitor whenever they connect.

    The same thing happens on Windows XP and Windows 7 computers, and I also tried to use a number of different instructors, who all have the same problem.

    Someone else had problems to get the 2nd monitor on the Displayport works correctly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Phil

    Make sure that you set the main display on the displayport device and then connect your vga port.

    Hi @antimoRoma

    Welcome to the HP community! I saw your post about problems with getting all three monitors to work. Unfortunately, there is no trick for most video cards in notebooks will only support two screens. High-end desktop video cards can support three monitors but not notebooks.

  • How can I connect HDTV and LCD to PC using the two - as a dual monitor.

    I recently bought the PC HP Pavilion a6600f w1707 with HP. I also bought a DVI cable to HDMI to connect PC to Samsung HDTV. I can use the VGA cable to connect the monitor and cable DVI to HDMI to connect to HDTV, but log off for the other use. Is it possible to configure Windows Vista Home Premium to display on both screens at the same time, or at least be able to switch between the two without having to unplug one, then restart the computer?

    This can be annoying, but I've done it before.  Usually, you can connect at once, then go to the display panel, settings, advanced, and then there is usually a tab to select the components of the video card.  Mine says NVIDIA...  Once there, you can choose a number of options, for example, clone, extended desktop, etc..  I found that there is some problems with resolution when the display on my TV is over the current screen.

  • XPS 12 + two S2340T for three monitors have contact problems

    I am testing a configuration of business as part of our R & D in the field.  I'm running a Dell XPS 12 8.1 Windows.  Last week, I ordered two external monitors S2340T for use with my setup.  In the past, I was able to successfully run the two external monitors for a three monitor Setup.  When I plugged in the first S2340T, everything worked fine. When I connect the other, I lost the ability to screen on the first.  On the second, when I touched the screen, he was interacting as if I touch the screen of the PC clean, despite the fact that he was it running correctly as extended desktop. I finally found that each monitor must be running with the USB cable (I found this in a forum of the year, even if the instructions I received still makes no mention of the need.) At the moment I touch on the screen of Mobile PC, as well as the first S2340T (monitor 1) that I am connected.  The other I'm connected (screen 2) takes any action contact and is the space in the mobile PC display.  If I disconnect 1 monitor, monitor 2 will work perfectly, as expected.  If I plug then 1 monitor, it won't work properly, allowing a contact immediately to show as a touch control on the laptop PC screen (thus imitating the question I had when monitors were reversed). I completely replaced the Dell drivers, even those it says is up-to-date.  I've disabled and upgraded.  At this point, I don't know what to try next.  Dell has recently told me to update my Bluetooth driver for a separate issue and immediately after, I lost the Bluetooth connectivity option and my Bluetooth mouse functionality. After you run an update of the driver from Dell, I lost my Bluetooth receiver on the laptop.  Fortunately, I've seen it before and all I have to do is to re - install the VPN we use SonicWall Global VPN client software.  Restart the system and my Bluetooth is back; but now neither monitor reacts to the touch on the scree, each monitor shows the point of contact as being on my Dell XPS 12.

    Try this...

    * Unplug the two computer screens
    * Reconnect the two monitors by USB 3.0 only (do not use DP or HDMI)
    * Use Windows to configure the monitors in extended mode and save this configuration
    * Go to the control panel
    * Contact search
    * Tablet select configuration - installation
    * You will see a screen that says "Touch this screen to identify it as the touch screen if it is not the press serigraphy tablet PC enter to move to the next screen.
    * At this point, press enter
    * This message will move to one of the external screens
    * Press the screen near the message until the message "press on enter to move to the next step in your configuration to compete."
    * Press enter
    * At this point, if only using a screen external, you will be on the tablet settings screen and you can close it. If you use several external displays, the original message will be then posted on other external display
    * You will see a display on the other monitor that says "Touch this screen to identify it as the touch screen if it is not the press serigraphy tablet PC enter to move to the next screen.
    * At this point, press enter
    * This message will move to one of the external screens
    * Press the screen near the message until the message "press on enter to move to the next step in your configuration to compete."
    * Close this window
    * Now every touch screen will work independently without affecting the other or the laptop screen

  • Two monitors S20

    Is there a part I can buy to connect two monitors? My card is a fx1800 and I have two 17 "vga lcd monitors. I guess that I need one any adapter in there from the output on the video card to two dvi cables vga. I thought that I read somewhere here, but I can't find it now.

    Lenovo also sells a direct displayport to vga converter, but any will do.

  • My computer does not recognize that I have two monitors connected.

    I have a VGA splitter cable, but even after I used the cord to connect two cords vga to a port, the computer is only noted one of the monitors. So when I go into settings to try to get them to display both, or to identify, the computer notice only a single monitor. So the problem is that my computer does not recognize that there are two put monitors in place.

    Cable splitter separates the single signal only. The computer only sees it as an output. You would need a different video card use the two forms as separate monitors instead of simply split the signal.

  • Double screen with two VGA monitors (model Inspiron 620)

    Hello

    I have an Inspiron (processor i5-2320 @3 GHz) 620 office. The graphics card is AMD Radeon HD 6450.

    With two displays analog VGA, I wanted to dual monitor.

    My problem is that the Office does not recognize the two vga monitors but that one monitor. Vga ports (I have two) on the desktop do not work at the same time.

    So, I tried to use the DVI port, but it is only allowed to use DVI - D (I thought I'd use two monitors if allowed the graphics card DVI connector VGA). DVI - D deosn seem to allow analog monitors.

    Currently, I only use one of the two with an analog monitor vga ports.

    I wonder if I should buy the new digital monitor that can be connected to the DVI - D port.

    Or is there a method to use both on the desktop vga ports?

    riofunk7,

    You have two options...

    (1) connect both monitors to the ports added discrete video card
    (2) connect a monitor to the integrated VGA port. Connect the other monitor to the additional port of discrete video card
    * Reboot the system
    * Press F2
    * Navigate to Advanced-Graphics Configuration
    * Activate Intel several monitor function
    * Press F10 to save your changes and exit the bios

  • Mini and monitors = mystery

    Bought the new Mini in March (3.0 ghz, 16 RAM). Connected to two Dell UltraSharp 24 "monitors connected through CDM (Thunderbolt) > HDMI on the monitors.

    Immediate problem: random scrambled color on one of the monitors when Mini woke up from his sleep.

    Tried changing the cables, ports, view profiles in pane Pref - color problem garbled continued to display.

    After extended sessions of tech support, Apple allowed the return of Mini and sent me a new duplicate. Exactly the same problem.

    The second Mini continued switch ports, using new cables, trying different display profiles. Problem persists - any monitor is connected (CDM > HDMI) to the right AMD at the back of the MINI, which monitor screens color scrambled when waking from sleep (randomly, not all the time - time half-plus).

    Also, if I connect two monitors as CDM > DVI instead of CDM > HDMI, it eliminates the problem completely - perfect color on both monitors then to wake up from its sleep. So the problem is with one of the CDM ports connected to HDMI on the monitor.

    SO - I can shoot with CDM > DVI connections. I'm just at a loss to know why the AMD > HDMI connection on ONE of the two ports CDM on the MINI poster color blurred when waking from sleep more than half the time.

    Wonder if anyone has any ideas...

    CDM > on the MINI HDMI connections?

    Video problems on the current edition of the MINI?

    Plug HDMI on monitors Dell being inconsistent with the specifications on the MINI HDMI?

    Another thing I'm not checking or forget?

    Kudos to Apple for two very long with the first MINI tech support sessions and for sending me a replacement, even if none of this solves the problem.

    Thanks for your suggestions!

    Stick with the Mini DisplayPort to DVI, DVI connections is much more stable than HDMI.

    FWIW, I never had no problem with two monitors connected DVI 24 "or smaller on any of my Mac Mini models.

  • Tecra R840-111: external monitor continuously restarts

    Hi all!

    I have a problem when you use the vga of the Tecra R840-111 with my external monitor/TV (LG M237WDP).
    Restarts it continuously monitor (it seems to restart).

    This behavior does not occur with another external monitor or if I use another laptop with the monitor named above.
    I used a live CD of linux (ubuntu) and everything is ok. Isn't weird?

    Advice?

    My toshiba has a kind of hidden in the bios menu diagnosis?
    I know that some laptop requires the user to for example hit CTRL + V in the bios in order to enter the diagnostic menu. Is there something like this?

    Can you help me?

    Thank you.
    Marco.

    Hello

    I have exactly the same external monitor but I don't t notice any monitor emits as you described in the message.
    I have two laptops and the monitor is connected to using VGA cable and DVI cable for two laptops
    In both cases, the monitor does not restart so I m not quite sure what you are talking about

    With regard to the BIOS.
    It s don't know for me about the hidden in the BIOS menus.
    In addition, you said that this problem does not occur with Linux, so I would say that its certainly nothing wrong with the BIOS. Also this theory would confirm because the other external monitor works well.

    Maybe some sort of software preinstalled Windows OS cause this?

    Also in the BIOS, you can choose the detection of the external monitor option (or something similar). Usually its set to automatic, but I assign this internal display.

  • Equium A100-306 is the monitor out to the side, identical to a DVI out?

    Hello, I was wondering is output on the side of my laptop, the same as a DVI output screen? I am trying to connect my laptop to my hd tv, what's the best way? Can I use some kind of HDMI cable? As a DVI to HDMI cable? Or is there a special cable for that?

    When I try to use the svhs cable, the screen is black and white. Do I need to change the settings in order to remedy this?

    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks in advance.

    On the left side, you will find two ports;
    -RGB (port monitor)
    This can be used to connect an external monitor to the portable computer

    -s-video output port
    This port is used to connect the laptop to the TV using an s-video cable.
    There are different s-video cables.

    Check this box:
    http://www.SVIDEO.com/compaq1700.html

    But you will never be able to connect to HDTV for HD resolution!

    I doubt that s a monitor problem
    Have you updated the display driver? You can find it on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

    And have you tried another cable? Cheap cables are sometimes present problems, so you should exchange it and buy a high quality cable.

    Last but not Lea what Satellite phone you have exactly?
